I am studying multiple languages on Duolingo just for fun and i found this in "nærheten" and "vær". Norwegian is pretty simple, i reccomend it to anyone starting their first language learning. But this one though "a" and "æ", tough nut.
met one Norwegian talked about odds and ends for hours, noticed he said swol-WÎHR not swol-WÆR and Aaah-leh-sun not Oh-leh-sun. They also anounced it like this on the flights to Ålesund. Suppose when a born and bred Norwegian says it like that, it must be right??
There is some variation in the pronunciation depending on the dialect. I'd need to know where this person came from. Though I've never heard someone say "Aaah-leh-sun".
@@TheNorwegianSchool Thanks for clarifying! I don't know Norwegian, I'd love to learn as I love learning foreign languages. But Norwegian seems to be one of the toughest languages to learn! Anyway I have your channel, I'll make the most of it. And kindly share the link to the video where I can began from as a beginner. Warm regards from India!

The difference between Æ and A is quite subtle, so it requires some training.

What's this alphabet called as? (In Norwegian)
Just Æ, the same as you would pronounce it in Norwegian.
@@TheNorwegianSchool Thank you!
Is it just a symbol or an alphabet in the set of Norwegian alphabets?
@@rojaachar No it's an alphabet. There are words that have this letter. Like være for example.
