    Which whiskey are you looking for this month?

    • @ehtater
      @ehtater 3 месяца назад +1

      I picked up that Bulleit 12 yr old 95/5 rye based on your video of it which was the first out of the gate on whiskeytube, still looking for Michters 10yr bourbon, no luck yet. Passed on HH 18 so far for what people are asking for that. Got an EHT BP, pbly will not get the ECBP B524 but I have high hopes for the fall issue. Then we can talk craft stuff, Middle West, Dark Arts, 13th colony maybe. John J Bowman is now allocated in VA so that was interesting to find out. Still looking out for any JD announcements or sightings

    Great price on the Dickel 12 year ...IF you like it. But sadly, I was not a fan of the 13 yr BiB, so big IF for me.

      It’s hard when it comes to dickel. Some I’ve had that have been good like the 8 year bourbon for example but then others are just blah.

    Sorry these prices are out of control too many options in the $40 to $70 range. I’ll take KC 12Y and be just fine. Cheers

      Yep I love that. The knob creek picks too. If you like the knob creek palate they get your hands of the Jim beam black 7 year. Excellent for the price and I’m dropping a review on it soon. Cheers!

    Armut tastes like the Scotch equivalent of Texas bourbon. No Indian spices or flavors except for the tropical fruit flavors that are in a lot of Scotch whisky. It's very fruity similar to Highland Scotch but there is clearly some rapid aging based on the India heat. The Fusion which is 75% their distillate and 25% Scotch single malt with some very light peat is a top bottle. This latest Bardstown sounds interesting but the price is way too high to buy without trying first

      Thanks for enlightening me. I guess it depends where in India it is distilled as they have very humid and dry climates. I guess much like your example of Texas.

    I’ll stick with the Bulleit 12yr Rye for $60 Wild Turd can keep their 10yr for that price.

    Still trying to find a Dettlings or a Crittendens, 😢

    I have to be honest, there is nothing on this list that I’d buy. I’m just getting priced out of some of those special releases. Cheers

      Not a dickel fan Robert? The 13year bib was solid and I like the 8 year bourbon.

    Man, aside from the RR SiB picks (still only $70 locally) I'm just out on WT LE's and their stupid prices 😂😂😂

    • @TheWhiskeyCove
      @TheWhiskeyCove  3 месяца назад +1

      Haven’t they just gone wild with them? I guess that’s the corporate push!

    The bookers looks interesting but the price 😖. Ppl. Hate on Dickel but that one is a buy for the price. The rest are a hard pass for this old man. 👍🥃😉 good video as always.

      In today’s market $40-$50 for a 12 year American whiskey isn’t bad at all.

  • @umami0247
    @umami0247 3 месяца назад +2

    Weller is out of their mind. Anyone who spends this on a whiskey has more money than sense. For 25 year scotch I can get it for under 250. For this kinda money Weller himself should pour it for you. Not something I’ll be looking for. For 7500 I could buy enough whiskey to last me for the rest of my life and have plenty to pass down to my family. Most of these I’ll never see around me so I’ll stick with the Russell single barrel I can get for 65. Good luck in your search.

      I wonder if anyone who buys it will actually drink it. I envision all being flipped or auctioned

  • @cblock1002

    If people stop paying these stupid prices for bourbon the price will come down.

  • @alext9723
    @alext9723 3 месяца назад

    Crazy amount people are willing to pay money. I wonder if people would still pay that much if they couldn’t flip it. A crazy time for whiskey drinkers. Great video Patrick.

    • @TheWhiskeyCove
      @TheWhiskeyCove  3 месяца назад

      Oh you can bet your top dollar that the vast amount will be sent to auction or flipped.

  • @tranmd80
    @tranmd80 3 месяца назад +1

    As long as people crazy enough to pay, camapri will continue to overcharged on wild turkey/Russell bottles. Not playing that game.

      I think it’s across the bourbon industry. All these distilleries being owned by profit driving companies who only care about the bottom line. Look what happened to High West.

      Yeah, I’m with you. Had a chance to buy Master’s Keep Voyage last year at msrp and passed on it. I’m good with Kentucky Spirit, Rare Breed and Russell’s SBs

    Love these episodes of what is coming out. I was able to get 4 RR 13 bottles near MSRP and would love to get a RR 15. Just picked up a RR Rickhouse CN-F, which I have really wanted. 🥃

      A little tip. Last father’s day Russel’s released their 13 year to be bought online. It sold out pretty fast but make sure you sign up for their email list. Could happen again this year!
