ASMR has exploded in the last year, and there are some wonderful artists out there, but I always come back to Maria. There is something more therapeutic about her, and her videos.

thanks for expounding!!! i agree with all of those points. it isn't just speaking softly, its how you speak softly, and what you do when you are not speaking softly. and its patience. some people do rush, and you can pick up on that. Maria is a slow pace, but its deliberate and measured. and you can tell this is a passion of her's.

I remember being in highschool going through a very toxic relationship, being very mistreated and crying myself to sleep every night (when i could actually sleep) and this video was the #1 video that could calm me and put me to sleep. Almost like a lullaby for a baby. For the duration of the video and of my sleep I was at peace even if it was short lived. You really have an impact on people’s lives! Btw.. in a happy loving relationship now, 5 years later🤍

This is not meant as criticism, but I'd like to hear what other people's experiences are like. Whilst I love the breathy whispers, it's the inaudible or unintelligent part that doesn't do well with me. Because I can't make out the words, I actually automatically pay more attention. My brain doesn't shut off, it actually gets activated and I can't seem to help it. Does anyone else have this? :/
+lisanna32 Yes, this does happen to me as well, but sometimes when you feel already relaxed enough or you're doing something else this works good as a background noise. Also lowering down the volume often helps me too so I literally have no choice but not understand what is being said and it somehow calms me down even further :)

I'm one of those people that love soft ambient sounds when I'm working, say, at a library, even if it's people just walking by. So playing this video on my computer while I'm working is perfect.

That sometimes happens to me, too. I actually really enjoy listening to Maria's Russian videos as well because not being able to understand the language, I listen to it without trying to actually hear the words. It's actually quite nice listening to a language that you can't understand.

2. get yourself comfortable
3. looking up the type of asmr video that makes you relaxed
4. make a playlist of asmr videos so you don't change into a jacksepticeye video or something
5. get youtube red

I really enjoy your video's of whispering in your native tongue. I really love the video's that are longer in length so I may fall to sleep listening and I even listen while I am at work. I put in my ear buds and work all day in a very calm, relaxed state. I want to make video's myself. I have been told by friends and by many strangers I have a very intoxicating voice. I am new to your channel and never knew this therapy existed until yesterday. I come from an extremely traumatic childhood and i have the hardest time getting to sleep. Out of all the videos of yours that I️ have binged watched for twelve hours straight, i lovvvvveeee the ones where the whispering is what you mostly focus on! Some of the sounds made by products wake me up but it is your soothing voice that is my angelic savior! I would love to hear you simply whisper a very calm story! I wish it would magically happen! BTW..Maria broke all other ASMR artists for me. Ran into her first. Her use of her hands, fingers etc...they're hypnotic..she def knows what triggers are and uses them in the classiest way possible. No food chewing here. No smacking of the lips or "wet talking" (hate that). She knows the right mix of nail taps, finger waving, whispers....she's the Queen of ASMR :)

I love the up close whispers but have such a hard time with inaudible whispers bc I'm so busy focusing on what is being said, trying to hear/understand, that I don't relax well. I think ive been watching ASMR for about 9 years now. I started with guided meditation and nature sounds. Then got into ASMR. This is still one of my absolute most favorite videos ❤ my now husband then boyfriend thought I was super weird for listening to ASMR. Now he thinks it could be cool to start our own channel.
