Vinted never wanted the business sellers on the platform (pushing up prices) they want it to stay the cheap platform. They wanted all the Business sellers Pro to keep them inline and probably to restrict them with the damn ID process being such a fail.
The mistake I made with Vinted Pro is I put my business name in the registered business name. But as a sole trader this name is not on your self assessment document. So you need to ensure you just have your full name in there if your a sole trader. The other problem is that this box isn't amendable in your account. So I had to send a message asking Vinted customer services to amend it to my name rather than my business name. Once this one done and I uploaded my driving licence and self assessment my account was verified within an hour.
I'm personally in the Vinted camp on this one, Ricky. Why should 'Pro Sellers' get priority over anyone else on the platform just because they are doing it for a full-time living; I do agree that everyone's items should be seen equally. In the words of Jon, I'm an average Joe (thoughts of the legendary film Dodgeball with Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller come to mind), so I might be speaking with a slight bias, but why should Vinted bow down to Pro Users; you're not being forced to pay for Pro. Correct decision :)
I never once said that Vinted have to let pro sellers have priority? What I said was make it fair across the board and don’t favour anyone Let the listings and the photographs and the details put in and the algorithm do the work don’t actively dampen a certain sellers visibility because of the account they have And yes, they do force you to have pro after awhile the same way eBay for private to be business after awhile
@@RickyResells Nah nah nah I was just making the point generally that 'Pro Sellers' aren't some kind of special breed, so shouldn't get any priority/special treatment, but I do agree that on Vinted "the average Joes" like myself and the 'pros' should have listings alongside each other when selling their respective second-hand pieces of gold.
I've noticed a significant drop in sales since switching to Vinted Pro, and bare in mind I had over 1000 listings as a Non Pro user so theres clearly no risk of having too many items if you're not Pro. So by switching it's just made a extra two week wait for money and less visibility with no benefits. Tbh I think I'm going to switch it up, focus on using eBay for 95% of selling , then use a Non Pro Vinted account to use for Clearance items.
I know plenty of people that have had their accounts closed for class as reselling I personally never wanted that risk with any amount of listings let alone you with 1000 so let’s pray to whoever that it doesn’t happen to you mate because that would be a ball like
Yeah it's definitely a risk, but for 2 years it just kept stacking with listing 10 a day and built up to that amount 😂. Only time it was an issue was when I used the chrome extension to relist about 100 listings and it auto blocked my account for a day and then came back. Thing about Vinted is it's almost entirely run automatically, so long as you work around the way their system works nothing flags up on their end. But if that code is going to prioritise non sellers, then there's little point in being on there as a Pro, regardless if its 10 items or 1000

I am using Vinted and Depop and I looking build own website allowing me to push my items my way ❤ yes it gonna be harder work but it all about knowing the rules and playing to your advantage xx
I was talking to an experienced long time seller recently and he said that if you just rely on selling platforms then your business is never truly your own and your never actually building anything because you have to play by their rules, and even worse they can cancel your shop at any time and often without any reason. The only real way forward is to have your own website. This obviously would need money, time and skill to attract traffic. Just wondering what your opinion is on this?
My opinion on this is if you have the correct sort of stock, especially if you make things yourself and all those kinds of stuff or you have constant streams of access to new products that you can list on the website and you have the reach and the power to advertise and promote that website to get it seen then go for it! Otherwise, for me personally, if that was to happen where I’ve got nuked on both accounts, I would just make another pivot in life and do something else. Outside of a 9-5 still.

Oops there it is…
Fair enough!!! 😂😂
How cute is that little loaf pan!!! Aww 😊
Right! 😅😅
You’re never in control even if you have your own website🤣
@@Bailey-nh6ms This is true 😅
@@RickyResells I hope you get vinted sorted soon .. if it's any consolation the people I know who have gone over to vinted pro have not seen any less sales
Im not sure what the issue is? As i thought there were still no fees for pro sellers. Just means you have to play the game harder on there.
But why would I need to play harder? Why should I?
@RickyResells I know mate, but you love playing the game and winning, youre a natural mate. Being a day one er! Iv seen it happen in front of my eyes. Big love to you and the family.

😅
so middle aged man is your trigger point?? good to know for future lol,
Yeah, I was so triggered man.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't think it is unfair. Regular people do sell cheaper, which most people want but won't have items maybe as nice, unusual, different etc. PRO SELLERS will do well if they're selling good items that people want and have the thing that sets our items apart from others. I think it's because our items may be more expensive too. It is what it is.
✌️👌👊😀😎
Nathan defiantly isn't a middle aged white man he sounded more like a 20 something year old batty man
And why is EBay threatened by vinted 😂
