@@CheDaCheezyea i kind of forgot about speedrunning techniques involving every thing you can do in the game, even the ones that are seemingly useless, take the punch card from ut for example
@@GameMasterART that's a pixel perfect speedrunning trick, when you enter a tornado your hitbox is the same height as the gap for 1 frame (with peppino it stays the same height throughout the entire dive)
I felt like half the video was noise just doing style points and not even going fast like here: 0:47 like why go through the tiny gap when you can just go through the metal block
i can assure you going through the gap is faster, first off you dont have to get up the wall after the metal block, but you also have more ground to build up speed by doing the gap dive. i understand your thinking but just trust me on this one, ive spent a lot of time making sure i have the fastest route possible (and im still making more optimizations for fullgame)
I'm leaving that to Vexxter and Manama, I don't enjoy TASing pep and it also takes a lot longer, I'll be more useful being the main Noise TASer (i will say though there are a lot of improvements that will probably push pep TAS below 1:10, they just haven't been released yet)
i might do an explanation video at some point, but i probably won't be posting anything until all of the TASes have been posted (june 4th i think is when CTOP comes out)
