Amazing race and adventure, just finishing this in one piece seems like massive achievment. I really hope to go there one day, but with my current level of fitness I could end up with heart attack at this altitude :P
Thanks for the video! The Tour de France will be on Alpe D'huez next week on Stage 12 (14 July); of course, they'll be doing the uphill version on the paved hairpens. I only just learned about the Megavalanche enduro events featuring this famous mountain.
I beg to differ. While the chest mount as such seems ok, the camera is set too low. The top third of the image should be sky, so the horizon is at two thirds from the bottom, at least on average. Otherwise good job and some nice footage of how hard it really is for lesser mortals. I couldn't do it.
Interesting to watch the mid pack perspective. Seems like would be ‘easier’ with fewer riders around and clear view of the track. Get an idea of how many people have breakdowns and shoe laces undone etc too
Just wondering ,what's the injury stats for a race like this , some serious speed over crazy terrain . Surely some riders come a cropper , onto rocks , off the edge of the drops , into trees and other riders etc .
The one thing im mostly seeing is him, pissing everyone off, while riding his Wal-Mart special what I can only describe as a crapoy BMX POS!!! It don't look like a mountain bike by the speed he is needing to pedal or the height of the bike as a whole. I really hope that next time he has a lot better equipment. But, what do I know. At least he is trying, i have to give him that.
You don’t think he can ride a bike?! We were impressed! It’s a crazy race - even more so for a first timer. If you’re available next year we’d like to offer you a free entry and supply a GoPro for you to record the race for us!
@@chainreactioncycles Lol if I could get to europe I would gladly do it. LOL. You would be amazed how a totally noob handle megavalanche. Beware Killian Bron An Stefan Peter!
Good demonstration of just how tricky the conditions were - makes the top finishers even more impressive for how easy they made it look! 😅
This is insane! Those guys have become experts at risking their lives and have fun in the process. Amazing to watch!
35:13 got a LOL from me. Passing by, steeply uphill, doing a wheelie! That's a showman! Applause!

Boom! My mind was blown watching this.

Well done!
9:37 time to get some BOAs!
Love the chest mount angle. It shows how rough it really is. Hope you pulled up ok 👍

For sure it’s a brutal race with plenty of injuries during the week.
What happened to that dude at 3:15 mark ? Did he fall?
Some people taking photos
That was Chain Reaction's very own Lauren taking video :)
Yeah, some information about who's riding?
Added to description 👍🏻

Maybe include a video of someone who knows how to ride a bike...
