I have a feeling people respond differently to different types of training, and the most successful athletes are the ones who are in tune with what works for them.

I fully agree and additionally every athlete has different genetics, for example how many fast twitch ot slow twitch fibers etc.

super athletes clearly have very individual responses to training modalities. would be very interesting to hear the comments of stephen seiler on this variability. since he is the scientist who originally described the 80/20 intensity approach based on initial research in norway, i wonder if he is willing to comment in one of your future videos. he seems very connected to the endurance training scene, especially in Norway. thank you for your wonderful and interesting videos. unfortunately, our 15 yo ski racing daughters really took to the "candy, junk food" video!

My conclution from this is that there are a lot of very different strategies that can work. I also think that trying to follow the path of superatlethes can lead to overtraining and injuries for less fit people.

It seems like there are two methods: zone 5+ moderate intensity training or zone 3+ low intensity training- do you think it is necessary to push more on long session if you do a lot of zone 5 to be able to keep the Pace in distance

What's obvious is that you shoud make your sessions harder when you don't do a lot of work of low intensity and vice-versa.

Hard to get from atheles talk, many of them dont have a ideia if is Hard or not. And many do too much Hard thinking os thrsehold.
Definition is a problem. 2-3hours os not Hard if not interval sessions.
