This is actually the perfect video for me, cause I recently had my car totaled and had to get a new one but with insurance and everything, I had a budget of $20k and I did look at Toyota’s, but I was lucky enough to pick up a 2018 used Mazda CX-5 with the luxury trim and my god, I never thought I’d drive a Mazda and also never realized how beautiful they are. I wake up everyday and walk out to go to work as see it, and just stop for a second to admire it. Mazda is definitely in the big leagues and deserves more attention.
2013+ jaguar xj 5.0 v8 supercharged, and for those who don't know, it's the pinnacle/ flagship of jaguar lineup and i would say its the top 'trim' (base model has 3.0 v6 supercharged 🙄) but it's the xjR above it. still, for 20k$+, ~60k miles, 470hp , entire aluminum body, I think it's infinite better than any 2099 corolla reliability and mpg.

I bought a Skoda Fabia Monte-Carlo 1.6 TDI back in 2014 for 18k a week ago (Aug 2024) I sold it for 10k and bought for 11.5k a 2016 BMW 218d Cabriolet with the same 140k km I had in my Skoda. That's simply clever. 😂

I have an Evo. It's an VIII GSR. I drove a X and personally didn't really like it. It felt soft compared to the OG ones. People will slap on Evo cosmetics on base Lancers, but you always know an Evo I-IX when you see one

The "evolution" in Evos died somewhere around the 00's. The Evo X is slow, fat and unresponsive when compared to previous generations. There has been no better Evo than the VI TME if driving dynamics are concerned.

The evo is the good or even perfect choice though. My favorite is the evo IX. I have some points why this car is the most perfect choice among all of them. 1. It's a homologation for WRC 2. It's a Japanese car. So based on point 1 & 2, this car should be pretty much reliable and highly tunable. 3. It is already discontinued and it is kinda special car, so driving it won't be much of a depreciation later in the future, as long as it is in good shape. 4. The 4G63-T is really strong and tunable though, for 4B11-T (evo X) maybe good too but idk that much about the evo X powerplant

Daniel Faatz sounds fine. My father does this with his 911 and ML 55 AMG and they're running for under 2k/year for repairs. 911 gets around 5000 miles / year and the ml got 25.000 miles in 4 years.
during a short amount of time (2018-2019 pre covid) and due mostly to ignorance by the general public (my country is a lot smaller and not many people know the sport divisions of most brands, like Mercedes AMG, Audi RS or BMW M series), you could get an Audi RS6 sedan V10 biturbo for the same price as a new fully equiped Corolla. If i didn't need to worry about reliability, weight and space, would've picked the Evo, but sadly, required to stick to regular cars. Would still go for a Toyota.
Finnish Farming Used cars are expensive too because they’re either imported vehicles which means there’s ppl who are legally robbing you or these cars are originally bought in Finland which means they are just expensive (We can’t forget the car tax what can raise the car price for over 50% if it’s imported from another country). Also Finland is such a small country so we don’t have many cars on auctions what’s such a shame. If you look at the same car what you can find from Finland from another country it’s usually a lot cheaper, for example in Sweden.
My choice for an affordable “interesting” car for less than the price of a Corolla? Well, it gets 36-48 MPG, handles and drives great, has 236 Ft-Lb torque, has an engine with a reputation of lasting easily over 400,000 miles, and is disliked by many governments... VW TDI (in my case, a Mk6 Golf TDI) And in this case, my CPO Golf, with 2 year unlimited mileage warranty, and 140k power train/emissions warranty cost a mere $9,000 And much like the Evo In this vid, there won’t be any more TDI imported to the US, so every year the rarity will increase...
Thats what im thinking. I have never understood people who rich enough to purchase car over 20000$ and still purchase boring toyota, volkswagen or skoda. When, or if i someday have enough money to purchase a car of that price, it will be some exotic car

If you buy premium segment car that is over 10 years you probably cannot afford to maintain it. Does not matter that now it costs 7 000 euro because the cost to drive it each year will be almost as the price of the car
its not used but its 27000 dollar and 300 horsepower AWD its a seat Leon Cupra but you can find it in saloon or used or even 280 HP FWD for cheaper OH and the 300 hp one has an audi engine whitch cost over 25000 how awesome is that (there is a hyprid one but its trash so dont look at it) an easily tunable a small chip tune and boom 380 hp and you can beat amg mercedes Maybe if you are a good driver
Saw a ram srt10 for $13k locally in Atlanta. Mitsubishi is officially dead. They could have brought back the 3000gt and Galant vr4. Fun fact you can get an 06 Mercedes s65 amg tuned twin turbo v12 for under $20k.
