i like hongdae too..i normally book in that area for my bnb..lively place...try also seongsu area..it is called the Brooklyn of seoul korea..may mga hand-made to order shoes in that area...
One day the world might really run out of green tea leaves... Was that a dachshund on Ann's lap? He/She was really behaved and cute. My undisciplined dog just keeps jumping wildly on me all the time... Another day, another adventure! :)
I've never been to Korea myself but hearing from my friends' experience.... the locals are not very keen on being hospitable to tourists.... even when you made it clear you only speak English coming from US, they still wouldn't care and go on & on in Korean while losing patience.... but if you were white, maybe they would be nicer.... again, that's the consensus I was getting from most people I know that have visited.... People in Japan on the other hand would always try to help despite language barriers
