Computer engineering and electrical engieering are kind of blended together. My degree program is literally called electrical and computer engineering.
And i have Bechelors IN Electrical Engineering and Masters in Computer Engineering
Same
@@ranaharis2420so it is possible to do that , good. My university axed computer engineering the year I got to it (general first year and select discipline 2nd year and it got axed after my first year). So now I am hoping I can do a masters in computer engineering with an undergrad in electrical engineering.
@@reigndrops4090 yes...its been always a best option
After these both degrees you can able to get job in Embedded/Telecom/Software/Power/Control System / Signal Processing and Many more Feilds....
So I can do both or I can combine them
thank you for this video it came just at the right time before college applications open thanks!!
Great video I am planning on getting my Computer Engineering/ Science degree since no schools around me offers Mechatronics. Would love to see more Computer Engineering videos or more comparing and contrasting between the two. I know you have one video that's similar but and indepth one would be 👍🏾. Love the videos and thank you for them they have helped me
Aren't computer engineering and computer science quite different degrees? I mean on one degree, you only learn programming and software side, and on the other, you basically learn how to build your own computer from the ground and up?
@@islandsfuldkorn computer engineering is mostly small electronics, embedded systens and computer science
@@LucinaMeow Yeah that's what I'm saying..
@@islandsfuldkorn they both teach alot of the same core topics , but one teaches more about software and the other teaches more about hardware.
thanks for video!
Nvidia, AMD, Intel, but also Honda and other car companies are obviously using more and more processors and computer systems in cars. Other ones on my list are Boeing and Raytheon, Boston Dynamics, Hanson Robotics, Nvidia, Corsair, IRobot, and the list goes on and on.
Can you please make a video on the mechatronics programs offered in Canada, just like the one you made for mechatronics in USA. Thank you.
This video came in the right time I just changed major to computer engineering. Thanks.
Nice! Good luck
2 years later how’s it going
Hi oliver foote, how long have you been learning computer engineering, these videos are useful for start ups who are studying now. But now I have an amazing desire to learn computer engineering, just what should l learn for computer engineering first. I know one thing, have to be a bachelor degree. Thank you for your answer!
you are a legend sir!
nice vid dude
This video was awesome thanks 👍 please about the city you talked about that affects the payments for computer engineers, which city is good or better for them (Nigeria)
What are the diference between computer engineering and computer system engineering?
Hi everyone.
Is it possible for me to to start with an advanced diploma in computer engineering and then proceed to a masters degree here in Toronto canada ?
Now I have been working on my own for a long time for computer engineering, but I need your help and also information , thanks ahead,
If you want to become open for electrical engineering career paths as a current student finishing his CS undergrad, should you do a masters in electrical engineering or a second bachelors in electrical engineering so as toget the electrical side of things?
I will surely go for Computer Engineering
What is difference between computer science & engineering Vs computer engineering Vs BSc computer science???
Heyy brother .... Sorry in advance cause this interrogation might be a bit discursive ..... I got admits for Master's program [MEng in Mechanical (Mechatronics) Engineering] from these 2 universities and am confused which one to choose - University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) [a.k.a Ontario Tech University] VS University of Waterloo ....... Any suggestions bro?? Thanks in advance :)
Do a resume video on computer engineering and make a portfolio
Awesome vid! I'm currently deciding between Computer Engineering and Mechatronics engineering. I am thinking of doing a masters degree later, so because mechatronics is more general I will have the most flexibility that way. Another type of engineering is super interesting but also confusing that maybe you should do a video about is Systems Design Engineering. Either way, loving the content :)
@Raffaele Cardascia haha I was thinking of doing the opposite. Undergrad in Tron and then doing a masters in whatever I find the most interesting during my studies.
@Raffaele Cardascia same to you :)
It was very useful
Nice video Mate, What's your opinion on Telecommunications Engineering Major?
I think it is still very relevant, the internet wouldn't really exist without people upgrading stuff and working on telecommunications. It's a very big industry.
Hey Is it true that CE is more electrical than programming because I love programming more but I want to do CE because I not only want to program but I want to be able to take the computer apart and fix devices
CE is both Computer Science and Electrical engineering blended if u like both, go with CE of you can Minor in CS
Hello! I have just started my degree for comp engineering (bachelors), do you think I can use this to become a hardware engineer in a space agency?
I don’t see why not all they use are complex computer to solve problems
Computer Engineering is a well rounded engineering degree for those who want to learn hardware and software. Think of it as a combo of EE and CS.
What about electronics engineering ECE.
Thanks
Useful.
Glad it was helpful!
how is AI and Data science degree
I have interest in aerospace, mechanical but also the electronic and software parts. should i try studying mechatronics engineering based on those interests?
Yeah mechatronics is a good bet. You could also do electrical engineering. Depending on the school some programs might have more software than others.
Computer science or computer engineering for digital forensics? I'm 14 and I'm interested in digital forensics for a career but there isn't really a lot of information as it's not a popular subject. Please help
Computer science
@@Uniza_ Thank you
It has really boasted my motivation....thanks dude
If I major in CE, if I want to get a job in software, isn't it ambiguous because I losing competitiveness to those who majored in CS, and also losing to those who majored in EE when I got a job in hardware? It's a dilemma..
Do computer science if you want to do software. Do ee if you want to do hardware. Do cpe if you are undecided. Cs and ee are more specialized. Cs has more demand than any engineering major as of right now.
It depends entirely on you. You can learn CS at home if you have the desire too, not so much with the EE part, having a background on how things work in computers could be very useful as a software engineer, duh.
@@WetPig CE ofters opportunity in both fields you would know more not less. Basically CS= only CS jobs while CE opens up careers depending on what you choose 🙋🏾♀️
@@keicyc4669 I agree somewhat (I study CE, last year), I am currently in a job that isn't that connected to CS, and Im really thinking of going full programmer mode and changing my job. At least it is not going to be super duper hard. And you could always explain in interviews how you know the fundamentals of semiconductor/chips/ASICS as well as programming, I think it only adds points.
U know is Boots camps
People can growing higher past
And also let us know that can anyone can how having normal graduate can they get job and growing to higher position like software architect or being a manager in company
And also let us know now what is the Value off computers science engineering degree is worth it when a common man can lean 2 or 4 language and come and work and grow in I t industry
And also say me if someone have meachina engineering degree can they ger resjeted if 10 guys having computer science engineering degree in same interview that time the guy with machinal engineering degree will be overlooked
Hi I have a question for Computer Engineering can I learning for game developers or designer ?
Thank You
Yes! but probably not from your classes. you'd need to do this in your free time
@@OliverFoote thank You 🙏
Computer engun vs robotucs engineer in salary
Computer Science vs Computer Engineering? Whats the overall best which compliances all the job scopes possible?
did you find the answer to that question because I'm trying to decide between these 2 majors now.. let me know please
@@ThatGuy33121 did you get the answer
Hi, there's no definitive "best" between computer engineering and computer science. It entirely depends on your interests and what projects/ internships you decide to focus on outside of school.
Computer engineering is very broad and during your degree (depending on the school you go to) you'll study topics in both electrical engineering and computer science, as such the computer engineering job market is more diverse than comp sci. You'll need to however, focus more on projects and extra curricular to build your skills up outside of school since a lot of the skills your develop in computer engineering will feel very foundational and surface level.
However, computer science may be more appealing if you are only interested in software, finishing your degree sooner or if you want to have a highly competitive degree with less of the workload.
All of the above points are dependent on the school you attend, so be sure to do your research on your school prior to making a decision.
Tldr: It depends, pick what interests you & not on job prospects. Computer engineering has a more diverse job selection (not necessarily better), consider comp sci for lighter workload & having your degree sooner, do research on the school(s) you're interested in.
In which country and university you did your bachelor's in MECHATRONICS Sir?
canada
@@OliverFoote ok sir
In which university you did your bachelors sir?
@@anitadevigonti4070 He's in McMaster...
pls can you tell me the best engineering university in europe
I don’t know
I am very confused in computer engineering and computer science and software eng, I love to code and i love the chips and circuits and want to do AI , which course should i take
All of those are in computer engineering except AI
However
Computer science might have an basic introduction about AI but it wont really help alot
I suggest picking computer engineering then do masters in Artificial intelligence
Try asking for the curriculum of computer science in your University
Most of the core courses can be learned online
Learning how to code to a professional level or AI level is easier to learn by yourself compared to learning electrical/ electronics hardware
Totally agree with you. I was glad to do Comp Eng in a varsity that provides basic introduction to AI and let's do some cool projects in your final within the field.
|n my college, they offer artificial intelligence courses in second last year and final year if you choose to study Art int among 4 others. I am doing BS computer engineering
Hey after doing computer engineering can we go for core software company (not Integrating hardware) if we develop the additional skills and are from a good univ like u of t
Yeah for sure, there are lots of Comp Eng students that take software heavy roles.
Mas, minta subtitle Indonesia nya mas
And you can build your own company by focussing on the software or building a hardware product related to software you made possibility are already endless.
You kinda look like drew gooden
I thought you were Drew Gooden
