Heartgold and Soulsilver are Gen 4 games. If you think it's the second introduced region, and therefore gen 2, you're wrong. Regions and Generations are completely different. The generation of a game depends on when the game was released, and not the region. For example, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are Gen 6, and not Gen 3.

Even though the orange island league has the word "league" in it, it was really more of a tournament and was not affiliated with the official league system, so it doesn't count. Ash has never won and official league, and he never will because that's how they keep the show going.
1:45 was hard. 2:19 was also hard but I got it right through sheer 1/3 chance. 3:28 was actually quite easy if you red the manga and haven't played the games, he had an eevee that evolved into Espeon, snorlax and pikachu easy enough as well as the three kanto fully evolved starters! 1:58 accualy, if you watched the gen 1 from the first episode to last (skipping banned episodes) youd know that ash acculay won the orange league, from the orange islands where he met tracey
But the orange league was an actual Pokemon league Drake was the last gym leader in the Orange islands and if you beat him that means you beat all the gym leaders in the island giving you a trophy you won't be champion that's not how it works even Ash stated it himself he doesn't count the orange league as an actual league victory fun fact I found out about that this year
