Never have been able understand the death pile . I list the same day the inventory is purchased . It’s shocking how many items I’ve sold within hours of listing .

Listening to you I realise my lack of growth on eBay comes from me emotionally fighting with them. Buyers that lie in order to get items for free and eBay bending over to help them drive me crazy and I spend weeks angry and stop listing instead of getting on with it.

Thanks for the recap. I have seen most of them. I'm about 7 months into Ebay. Growing a "1 🛑 Mens shop". Clothing, cards, fishing, coins, etc. Sold all my PS and Nintendo stuff to kick start. My money now in in inventory. I am cycling thru double checking shipping/returns/comps on stale items. My new stuff is selling great. Avg COG $6.5 avg sale is $30. I found a new thrift that doesn't mark up brands and doens sort vintage. I pulled a Harley JE morgan thermal for $4. And a Gore-tex 90s hat $1. More brand knowledge is my biggest opportunity I feel, but im finding my bread and butter thru my regular thrift rout. 5.11, patagonia, kuhl, rhone, levis 527, prana, primo. Thanks again!

For me, this multi-podcast recap was the best in that it brought to the front of my mind everything that I've learned and implemented in my growing business from watching and listening to you and so many others in the group AND reminded me that I still have work to do. I love that you consistently point out that certain areas has different stuff. That is one point I think is consistently missed when picking niche is that sometimes your area picks your niche for you. Glad you mentioned that. I think it goes even further that your sourcing method could end up dictating your niche ie locally vs online or thrifts vs flea markets. Go with what you have the advantage on such priceless advice.

How do you shut your brain off when its time for bed..I get to griding...listing processing everything and end up staying all night..working all day and have a hard time stopping. My husband doesnt like it as he is worried about my health...but I get more done at night when the house is all quiet...have 4 kids of my 7 living at home.. thoughts??
As a New seller there are selling limits so you can only list consistently until you reach your selling limit. You then can list for days or weeks until your limit is increased. Do you have any advice for this?
When looking for sale through rate say you have a ralph lauren polo xl, do you do your sell through on ralph lauren polo, or do you do the sell through on ralph lauren polo xl? have been trying to figure that out for a more clear sell through rate for spreadsheet. Thanks
I think he would say sell thru rate depends also on the size because a polo Ralph Lauren shirt size small and a polo Ralph Lauren size 2XB is not the same sell thru so I would sort my sell thru by the size as well

My daughter started an ebay store again 2 weeks ago, (she had an account before but it's been a couple years) She made her first sale since starting on June 6, it says estimated release of funds on June 19, is this just because its her first sale, I'm not positive on how often your funds get released normally. Thanks!
On a mark down strategy, is there a way to set items to automatically go on a deeper sale as they age? Like when new items hit 30 days they automatically go on sale for 10%. And when that item hits 90 days it automatically drops to a 20% sale, and so on? Thanks

The belief that inventory is limited blows my mind. Yesterday I picked up an entire car load of books from another reseller for free. I did worry that I’d be picking up rubbish but since going through the mountain of boxes I’ve realised we just deal with different genres. It was obvious they wanted nothing to do with cookbooks, textbooks, biographies and spiritual material.. all things that sell really well for me. Heck even going to a thrift store before closing that’s been picked over I can find valuable things. If people aren’t finding stock they need to educate themselves more. It’s everywhere.

You can list every day even with selling limits, do good work, have happy customers, get the limits extended
