To watch these all too fleeting moments of Tamara Toumanova, Tania Riabouchinska and Irina Baranova, when little more than mere children, and yet simultaneously so seasoned and adult, at the very beginning of their illustrious careers, is to be swept up into a dream like state that defies description. The images are said to be of the three baby ballerinas in 1932, but it is obvious they are much older than 12 or 13.
