Brief Description: With a growing population of older adults, it is increasingly
important to focus on strategies that promote healthy aging. The use of technology now is becoming ubiquitious in everyday life, even among older adults. This talk will highlight the trends in use of technology among older adults and discuss the evidence-base for using technology to improve one’s health. I will focus on elements of the design process and provide a use example of a system targeting an older adult's physical function.
