The Doc Wheelo move is his R2 +X +X (The superdash behind on regular characters) All giants have that move and can do that "combo" to some extend, but for some reason wheelo's is just incredibly fast and unblockable. Giants are usually fairly fun to play against/As but wheelo is agony. It's a strong move on giants, but it's not really all that spammable unless you're on wheelo Wheelo's supers are also really strong(I think he has an unblockable super as well), his grab just looks like a regular punch, has a massive hitbox and does a lot of damage and his punches themselves are fairly fast and hard to perception out of. A lot of the yajirobe players migrated to Wheelo after yajirobe's nerf
"Giants are usually fair" *Immune to 90% of your damage options or super armors through them and kills you in two heavy swings* They also can do the same thing Dr. Wheelo can with the dash tech.

They’re immune to, rush attacks, super armor through everything with the range to keep you from touching them if they’re smart. Can’t grab them, perception use on them waste a skill gauge and that’s from regular attacks🤦🏾♂️. Vanish is ALL you can do. Either perfect vanish the already almost instant dash attack or get infinite and possible have a whole HP Bar taken in one swing from a heavy. Don’t even get me started on the grabs. You cant tell if they’re grabbing or attacking because the animations are almost the exact same. But aye man it’s “my char”. Never said I struggle with them but Giants are basically “Ik you have a whole move set but… let’s take away half of it JUST when fighting me”

But good on you for being able to press R1 at the right time everytime he uses that 1 move. I keep saying Dr. Wheelo because GIANTS are not the problem. Dr. Wheelo is the problem and people only pick him for giant chars BECAUSE he does all this broken stuff ALONG WITH the dash attack semi infinite. Oh it ended? Great now I can switch or finally charge up my ki….and he’s in sparking and I have no more ki to vanish ggs. I’m glad I learned how to counter this because some dude said “you can vanish the dash”.

Argin sama, i just want to say this Press down on the analog stick when someone ends their combo on you. When your character starts twirling and spinning, flick down on the stick and you'll recover. Im not sure why they dont outright tell you this, but this single piece of tech has skyrocketed me to A1

One thing I've been doing to play around ultimate spam is to literally fly straight up and down. Superdash doesn't take that much ki and flying up and down counters them trying to fly to your back. It's very disorientating for them because their camera will not follow you if you're directly above or below them.
2:22 A little tip: Ki Blast skills are best used when the other player is on the ground and you have the high ground. This is because all of your Ki Blasts will hit them and if they don't, they will hit the ground so you won't have the problem of being stuck due to your character's stunt animation
This is an example of how poor, short-sighted game design can ruin an otherwise fun experience. I don’t blame these players, I blame the dev team for not play testing every single game mechanic thoroughly so that things like this wouldn’t be possible.
And then we got people saying but but they said it would be unbalanced excusing this, its like they want this game to die in a month from people getting tired of cheese

I love this game, but cheese has always been rampant in BT. Some characters in BT2 had infinite armor (actually infinite duration armor that only went away if you did a blast skill), some characters did unholy damage, Videl and healing characters have always been stupid, etc. People suck the fun out of any game in order to win.

I mean, there are plenty of fighting games that are balanced. This series isn’t really meant to be competitive, the mechanics have always sucked. Dont throw sparking zero in with the rest of traditional, well thought out and balanced fighting games lol
Just play singles, it’s better because dp battle is not worth your time especially in higher ranks. People ragequit once they find out their team of 5 (all with afterimage) is losing and quit last minute making you do all that work for nothing. Atleast with singles you get more time saved.
I feel like the simple fix to the insufferable meta teams (or 1v1 matches) is to either nerf the op characters or have some characters restricted in ranked. Or make it so you get more points if you play specific characters for a week and update it weekly Edit : Most non meta characters have 3 health bars and the most used characters can take 2 or more health bars with only one ulti. This has to change aswell
What I usually do is to stay as close as possible so they can't use those giant superdash move. Besides that you can also knock them away and spam super moves. And, yeah...S-rank players are all using those cheese teams. I've yet to find someone using a normal or tematic team above A rank.
No even that is safe cause I discovered a new cheese strat from an ape vegeta player that he just spams down heavy smash until he wins but unfortunately for him I’m playing as great ape baby.
How to beat giants, especially wheelo : 1 - Have a character with a "power level" equivalent to Super Sayien 3, so you can pass his giant's armor. 2 - HARASS THE SHI OUTTA HIM : Usually, giant players are monke who just spams their shit, I had to harass and non-stop punch them in order to get some dmg 3 - Abuse Perception : If they don't grab, they try to get combos and run into this unblockable dash so they can cheese you the most they can. Perception every attack they try to do and send them fly away, then throw a super blast to have more dmg 4 - If you have a character that can go sparking mode instantly, abuse it. Sparking mode are really effective against giant, especially if your ultimate is a blast type and not a melee type. To all wheelo players reading this : You're not fun, you deserve to be abused with every annoying mechanics in the game. I hope everyone will learn to counter yall's ass. Great video btw !
Please ArGin for the love of Zeno, run either Slug or Scouter/Baby Vegeta so if you run into a giant you can match their freak. And if you don’t want to play a giant know that any character with a power level of Super Saiyan 3 or above can stagger giants.
This is why DP battle has to be the most annoying mode ever. they just need 15 points 3 V 3 at this point because stall is why the bean dad had to be nerfed ANYWAY.. it was pointless, especially if you know your fundamentals.
Ever since the update my combos have been dropping. It’s like there’s an invisible wall that doesn’t allow me to continue. It even happened to Argin @2:00. It like after you do the overhead to continue the combo, you can’t move forward to continue. Sometimes it happens sometimes it don’t. But it was happening a lot against Gotenks when I was using Hit.
To deal with Wheelo, you MUST be a lot more offensive close combat wise. Just dash attack them. Dragon dash from a far or side dash and attack. The first hit staggers them that way.
ArGin idk if you are going to read my comment, but you should use R2 + L1 or RT + RB. Fly high up to dodge Brolys ultimate especially if you’re far away from him.
I have a question: Can Explosive Wave counter an after image strike?! Suppose the other player activates the skill and you are already aware of it, so when you hit and see that the player is already behind you, you immediately use explosive wave to counter it... Does this work or has anyone not tried it?
22:35 The yajirobe patch gives me hope that the devs are aware of the issues with the game and are working on ironing out the toxic characters. Wheelo's gimmick could be fun as a fast giant, but it's overpowered in so many ways rn. I'd rather slow patches that perfectly nerf a character than super fast patches that just wind up making everything more and more unbalanced and cause more issues. Better to spend a few weeks dealing with some bullshit than months/years/forever (in some games) dealing with bullshit
There's some counter play u can do vs giants that spam the unblockable superdash, u can try to time a vanish and hit him after the vanish,perception works as long as u have meter, u can try superdashing backwards and then superdashing again to catch them if they miss time there spam,u can also go all the way to the top of the map and the giant superdashing gets weird up there
Argin if you start your combo with a ki blast you can hit a person using after image strike. Also you have to perception giants it doesn't need skill points just ki. ALSO Z COUNTER! KEEP TRYING IT EVEN DURING SPARKING BACKSHOTS!
i don’t think wheelo can cancel that dash attack into a block so ur free to throw beams or perception when u see him start the animation. once he’s scared burst dash behind to throw hands and get ki rinse and repeat
to fight giants u have to rush them down.. i know it sounds ridicoulous but once they have ki and skill points its hard to fight. to stagger them a sidetep rush attack will do it everytime. so get close, watch for grabs and sidestep their charge attacks and rush attacks. once u get the sidestep down they r so slow u can infinitely hit them. gg
Honestly I get it, I used to be the same way. I don't do this shit in ranked games but just know that if you don't submit to the META than you either can't play the game or you can't have fun. The Videl thingy he did in the beggining is not actual cheese cause you can just sidestep and attack her, or wait for the attack to hit your block then side step and attack her... That person maybe hasnt encountered someone yet who knows how to counter that, now the Broly UNB? Na that thing is crazy! I still dont know how to play around that!

Hey ArGin there is a couple ways you can beat this you just need to get on his ass and dont let go pause. When they spam the unblockable from far away you can counter it with a beam attack he will run straight into it. Also flying all the way to the top of the map will make the character useless basically. Try to keep your ki at max at all times and if you see him trying to go max power send a beam. Also never vanish fight with it it will drain your ki and then if you get hit and sent flying he will go max power it only takes 3 skill points.
Dr Wheelo players had me searching all over RUclips for tricks and tips to handle the annoyingly annoying giants' gameplay. The worse thing to do against Dr Wheelo players is to run away. The will always catch up to you with that unblockable z-burst dash. But that unblockable z burst dash has a weakness. When you are right in front of him, if he does it, it won't work. You will only see the animation for that z-burst dash and it will seem look a glitch but it won't deal any damage or even stutter. So against Dr wheelo players, you want to be as close as possible and use their slow speed against them. But hitting and vanishing as much as possible behind them. You should also try to be as much as possible on their feet. Staying and hitting them at their feet level is pretty effective. If by some chance you get far away from them. There is a 90% chance that they will do that z-burst dash. Hit them with beams. Or if you don't have beams, use a skill count to super perception their sure-to-pull z-burst dash. That way they are near you again and you can keep the hitting and moving around NEAR them. If you character can't stutter him, try to focus on short dash + hit. It breaks the armor. Or use one light attack into heavy triangle attack immediately because you don't want them to profit from their armor. If you manage to get to sparking mode, spam the ki blast. OMG spam the ki blast like never before because it is insanely effective against since they are big and cannot dodge easily. Note that ki blast do stagger them when you are in sparking mode.
It sucks how the reputation of giants are because I love the giant characters because we never get to play them in any game, I always thought Wheelos design was awesome and there’s no other game to play him in other than this one and Great ape Baby is technically in Fighterz but he’s just a super cutscene and I just love the designs but since they’re giants they’re unanimously hated because how they are and it bums me out

I play roshi, final form frieza z, ssj1 broly z. Not for cheese strats. Because I like running a full combo, transforming and regaining all my ki, to then continue the combo
Tbh roshi put in work in the top i think he should be strong. maybe make after image strike like 10 secs instead of fifteen. But it cost three points it should be strong. Like instant sparking is really strong at 3 cost as well. Its kind of a counter to instant sparking now that i think about it😮

The cheese matches are hard to watch. Even that s rank player was just cheesing.
Most of them are cheesers, hence why they are that rank. Same goes for any ranked game, if there is a meta, expect it.

I feel like the simple fix to the insufferable meta teams (or 1v1 matches) is to either nerf the op characters or have some characters restricted in ranked. Or make it so you get more points if you play specific characters for a week and update it weekly
Edit : Most non meta characters have 3 health bars and the most used characters can take 2 or more health bars with only one ulti. This has to change aswell

Also the stagger for Giants/Apes is Super Saiyan 3+/ Androids 17/18, and some other I have yet to find yet.

What I usually do is to stay as close as possible so they can't use those giant superdash move. Besides that you can also knock them away and spam super moves. And, yeah...S-rank players are all using those cheese teams. I've yet to find someone using a normal or tematic team above A rank.
No even that is safe cause I discovered a new cheese strat from an ape vegeta player that he just spams down heavy smash until he wins but unfortunately for him I’m playing as great ape baby.
How to beat giants, especially wheelo :
1 - Have a character with a "power level" equivalent to Super Sayien 3, so you can pass his giant's armor.
2 - HARASS THE SHI OUTTA HIM : Usually, giant players are monke who just spams their shit, I had to harass and non-stop punch them in order to get some dmg
3 - Abuse Perception : If they don't grab, they try to get combos and run into this unblockable dash so they can cheese you the most they can. Perception every attack they try to do and send them fly away, then throw a super blast to have more dmg
4 - If you have a character that can go sparking mode instantly, abuse it. Sparking mode are really effective against giant, especially if your ultimate is a blast type and not a melee type.
To all wheelo players reading this : You're not fun, you deserve to be abused with every annoying mechanics in the game. I hope everyone will learn to counter yall's ass.

Please ArGin for the love of Zeno, run either Slug or Scouter/Baby Vegeta so if you run into a giant you can match their freak. And if you don’t want to play a giant know that any character with a power level of Super Saiyan 3 or above can stagger giants.

Ever since the update my combos have been dropping. It’s like there’s an invisible wall that doesn’t allow me to continue. It even happened to Argin @2:00. It like after you do the overhead to continue the combo, you can’t move forward to continue. Sometimes it happens sometimes it don’t. But it was happening a lot against Gotenks when I was using Hit.

To deal with Wheelo, you MUST be a lot more offensive close combat wise. Just dash attack them. Dragon dash from a far or side dash and attack. The first hit staggers them that way.

I have a question: Can Explosive Wave counter an after image strike?!
Suppose the other player activates the skill and you are already aware of it, so when you hit and see that the player is already behind you, you immediately use explosive wave to counter it...
Does this work or has anyone not tried it?
I think i have seen a bardock player do this with his max power explosion... i mean you could try in practice mode
It works but you could just manually vanish instead so why waste explosive wave on that instead of when you need to escape from backshots
22:35 The yajirobe patch gives me hope that the devs are aware of the issues with the game and are working on ironing out the toxic characters. Wheelo's gimmick could be fun as a fast giant, but it's overpowered in so many ways rn. I'd rather slow patches that perfectly nerf a character than super fast patches that just wind up making everything more and more unbalanced and cause more issues. Better to spend a few weeks dealing with some bullshit than months/years/forever (in some games) dealing with bullshit

There's some counter play u can do vs giants that spam the unblockable superdash, u can try to time a vanish and hit him after the vanish,perception works as long as u have meter, u can try superdashing backwards and then superdashing again to catch them if they miss time there spam,u can also go all the way to the top of the map and the giant superdashing gets weird up there
Argin if you start your combo with a ki blast you can hit a person using after image strike. Also you have to perception giants it doesn't need skill points just ki. ALSO Z COUNTER! KEEP TRYING IT EVEN DURING SPARKING BACKSHOTS!

i don’t think wheelo can cancel that dash attack into a block so ur free to throw beams or perception when u see him start the animation. once he’s scared burst dash behind to throw hands and get ki rinse and repeat
to fight giants u have to rush them down.. i know it sounds ridicoulous but once they have ki and skill points its hard to fight. to stagger them a sidetep rush attack will do it everytime. so get close, watch for grabs and sidestep their charge attacks and rush attacks. once u get the sidestep down they r so slow u can infinitely hit them. gg
Honestly I get it, I used to be the same way. I don't do this shit in ranked games but just know that if you don't submit to the META than you either can't play the game or you can't have fun. You can dodge unblockable moves by doing square and X to teleport! I found this by fighting super buutenks! Hope this helps!
The Videl thingy he did in the beggining is not actual cheese cause you can just sidestep and attack her, or wait for the attack to hit your block then side step and attack her... Hey ArGin there is a couple ways you can beat this you just need to get on his ass and dont let go pause. When they spam the unblockable from far away you can counter it with a beam attack he will run straight into it. Also flying all the way to the top of the map will make the character useless basically. Try to keep your ki at max at all times and if you see him trying to go max power send a beam. Also never vanish fight with it it will drain your ki and then if you get hit and sent flying he will go max power it only takes 3 skill points.
For what i know, go sparking mode and spam ki blast on them.
Dr Wheelo players had me searching all over RUclips for tricks and tips to handle the annoyingly annoying giants' gameplay.
The worse thing to do against Dr Wheelo players is to run away. The will always catch up to you with that unblockable z-burst dash. But that unblockable z burst dash has a weakness. When you are right in front of him, if he does it, it won't work. You will only see the animation for that z-burst dash and it will seem look a glitch but it won't deal any damage or even stutter.
So against Dr wheelo players, you want to be as close as possible and use their slow speed against them. But hitting and vanishing as much as possible behind them. You should also try to be as much as possible on their feet. Staying and hitting them at their feet level is pretty effective.
If by some chance you get far away from them. There is a 90% chance that they will do that z-burst dash. Hit them with beams. Or if you don't have beams, use a skill count to super perception their sure-to-pull z-burst dash. That way they are near you again and you can keep the hitting and moving around NEAR them.
If you character can't stutter him, try to focus on short dash + hit. It breaks the armor. Or use one light attack into heavy triangle attack immediately because you don't want them to profit from their armor.
If you manage to get to sparking mode, spam the ki blast. OMG spam the ki blast like never before because it is insanely effective against since they are big and cannot dodge easily. Note that ki blast do stagger them when you are in sparking mode.
Yo Argin, learn super counters. It’s basically a free combo breaker and it costs 0 resources.
It sucks how the reputation of giants are because I love the giant characters because we never get to play them in any game, I always thought Wheelos design was awesome and there’s no other game to play him in other than this one and Great ape Baby is technically in Fighterz but he’s just a super cutscene and I just love the designs but since they’re giants they’re unanimously hated because how they are and it bums me out

I play roshi, final form frieza z, ssj1 broly z. Not for cheese strats. Because I like running a full combo, transforming and regaining all my ki, to then continue the combo

Tbh roshi put in work in the top i think he should be strong. maybe make after image strike like 10 secs instead of fifteen. But it cost three points it should be strong. Like instant sparking is really strong at 3 cost as well. Its kind of a counter to instant sparking now that i think about it😮
Instant sparking and afterimage strike should both cost 4 skills points theyre both way too strong for just 3 points
