Thanks so much for watching! - I did a lot better on the deal then I thought -
Glad you're going to do okay on the Star Trek lot! "I don't think we're gonna lose money..." - just what Kayla wants to hear a minute after a huge buy. Ha, ha!
Phewie! So glad! ( :
Please don't start making these video, Enjoy the insane prices rising up because of these type videos. Wasting your time driving around for ebay prices. I wish i can block all these channel. But my adsense blocker is on so these video don't get any adsense revenue
@@troll101trollyet here you are….
@@troll101troll you do realize that anyone can look up prices. You don't need a video for that.
I loved how you backed up at the first sale when they mentioned EBay. Smart move
Once the seller mentions eBay or has papers with comps on it, I’m outta there.
I always want to tell people to go sell it on eBay then. Of course I never say that, only think it. 🙄
@@OGTallis I din't think it's a bad thing to suggest they do so or ask why they don't. I say to them, "Oh, you should!"
I Love the way you guys echo each other, now that's what l call a match made in Heaven!! I Love you guys So much! It's nice to see a couple that goes to Church and you don't curse, nor bicker, you actually enjoy being around each other, God Bless You Guys!
The All-Clad kitchen tool is Called a sous vide (sue-veed). It’s used to slow cook, say, a steak, to a chosen temperature so it’s evenly cooked, normally to a set temperature, then pan seared or grilled and seasoned. You vacuum seal the meat and put it in water in the tub -the machines don’t normally come with a tub, you can just use any container.
Yep! I use my Breville Sous Vide all the time. I use a little torch to brown meat afterwards. The secret to tender, juicy well done meat. 😂 I will only eat well done, but prior to this method, it was always too dry. I know chefs dislike us “well done” people.
Chicken cooked sous vide comes out juicy and tender. There are cook books for the method or recipes and instructions on line.
The All Clad Sous Vide thing is a way to cook meat in hot water. You put the meat in a heat proof bag & cook it at a low temp. The meat supposedly comes out very tender.
Love using my slow cooker for that.
*water proof bag
Wow have you found beautiful thing. I loved the turtle shell on the stand. The crab was beautiful. Each sale have had great things.
I always want to say, then sell it on eBay not a yard sale ugh I hate that too
lol me too
I haven't run into that situation yet but it would be funny to play stupid (I MAY have experience with that, and say "OH! Are you selling it on Ebay? No? Oh! I misunderstood! Would you take $___??" You gotta do that in your best Elle Wood from Legally Blonde. In fact, I'm gonna do that.
I always say, well why aren’t you selling it in eBay? They always say, it’s alot of work! NSS! Or I say, is that what it sold for? Their response, uhm, I don’t know!🤦♀️
I have some Star Trek toys still in original packaging and thought, "Ooo, I could make some good money on these; time to get rid of them!" Turns out they don't bring much at all (under $8 each). Called a collector reseller to see how much he would give me for his store and he told me under $5 each. Crappola... Maybe I'll just give them to my grandkids.
Had to come here and post because you had me rollin when the lady mentioned what the veggie blender goes for on ebay, and you turned and walked away! I thought i was the only one who does this! I dont give them an extra second of my time. Lol. These other resellers who are like, "no reason to get mad, people can charge what they want". This is true but take into consideration that people like this lady waste peoples time with their exorbitant prices at a YARD SALE. Its a waste of time and gas. They also waste their own time being lazy and not doing the work to list it on ebay their selves. They end up bringing everything back in the house at the end if the day. People dont go to yard sales to pay at or just under retail. Be for real. Great job leaving her to talk to herself. Lol
I was sooooo yelling at the screen trying to tell you not to buy the Star Trek lol
Still a fun haul❤❤
You could always whatnot the Star Trek stuff so you don’t have to spend so much time listing it.
I collect the Syroco/ Taco national park dishes that look like pottery. I have about half of the national parks -- most of the ones I've been to.
@14:50 The "vide" in "sous vide" (that cooking technique where you put bagged food into hot water) is pronounced "veed" :-) I took lots of French in school :-)
awwwwww a chicken with dangling legs!!!! broken beak but I would have bought it!
You’ll make money. I’ve not ever seen you doubt yourself. You’re freaking me out😳⚡️🤣🤣🤣
Good video, we cant win every time. But the lesson is priceless..
Find Arthur Court paper towel holders like that, they are good money
That is definitely an onyx apple. It’s gorgeous 😊
how cool is that apple =)
Thanks for helping with the star trek haul as i seen that there were some Micro Machines and i have a heap of loose Star Wars ones with the stands so i now know what they are.. 👍🦘🇦🇺
The snag in the blanket is an easy fix, thread a needle through the 2 layers of material and pull the snag thread through. Great video hopefully you make your money back on the toys.
excellent info on that for the snag =) we did better then i thought on the toys i think everything was listed for around $975
❤❤❤@@beardedthriftmachine
Also on the blanket take a small crochet hook and weave the pull into the blanket. That is what is done when you add thread when crocheting.
Look at it as a learning opportunity.
I enjoy the videos. I like that you took a chance on the Trek stuff. The guy offered you a little better deal than the other buyer was offered. Seller probably thought he was getting a fair price and also cutting you a little deal. If every yard sale had one dollar playboy lighters, they’d only be worth a dollar. It’s an impressive business model you’ve created when $325 is considered a big investment when, after all, it’s only one playboy lighter. Any job requires a level of exertion and no doubt you two have it by the bucket load. I hope it’s still fun for you. I’m pretending it is because it’s why I enjoy watching.
I bought a mostly Star Trek storage unit from the actual owner so, I knew what was there. I paid $1,000.00 it had EVERYTHING, complete sets of Hamilton pewter figures & ships, all the collections even the collector plates 🤪 lots of Hallmark ornaments, comics toys etc. one of the really good sellers was the TMN Turtles toy set as Star Trek characters. The toy figures & plates were long tail but I ended up doing really well with everything else also, it had full years of playboy mag’s from the 60’s & up to 80’s, various collector cards, sports Hallmark ornaments. I think someone worked in a store because it had displays and multiple quantities of hallmark stuff. Anyway, I was yelling at my screen…” no, don’t do it” but in the end you’ll at least make your $ back.
Thanks for the shoutout brother! It was great meeting you guys.. Happy Yard Sales!!!! -USEDCLEANSTUFF :)
awesome meeting yall!!
I believe those figures used to be lamp bases.
Fun video. More than once I've walked up a driveway where the homeowner asked if they could help me. They were NOT having a tag sale. Super embarrassing everytime! !
Hah, we did that the other day. Dude Har like 15 totes pulled out of the garage with a couple bikes and couple bags of golf clubs. This was literally in the middle of a community yard sale. We were going through totes when he came around the corner and said "can I help you". I asked how much for the set of Callaway clubs and Scotty Cameron putter. He said ," I'm just cleaning the garage". I was like what, during the community garage sale. He laughed and was like yeah this was the worst time to clean my garage huh. We both laughed and he actually sold me a different putter he said he never uses. Lol, he got helping cleaning the garage and I got a nice Ping putter for 20 bucks.
😂😂 Wouldn’t bother me a bit. My husband would be mortified. Lol
I walked up to a house once, was milling around this guys driveway looking at his stuff. He came out of the garage... "can I help you?" I said no, I'm just looking around. He said "what are you looking for?" I said, just odds and ends. He said "hey man nothings for sale!" I said it's not a yard sale? He just pointed across the street to the actual yard sale... oops!
lol how funny is that - i totally understand
Oh nooo! 😂😂😂
Our neighbors across the street were moving and had put out a lot of big items curbside to be taken by bulk trash pick in the morning. This included furniture, boxes, home and sporting goods of all kinds, a lot of stuff. In their rush get things out of their house before the move the next day, they'd also brought out a bunch of other items they were going to keep and put those in front of the garage. So, there were two separate groups of things, about 20 yards apart, but still in view. Maybe you can guess what happened. Pickers will come around our community early on Friday mornings once a month to check for interesting bulk trash. It seems a number of them wandered up to the garage area too and were helping themselves to the keeper stuff !! I'd heard a commotion and came out to see my neighbor in her robe screaming hysterically at what was happening. People were taking everything as they thought it was all being discarded. Her hubby had slept in [exhausted from moving things the night before] but he finally came out and tried to help his wife while they called security and the police. A few people were even going inside the garage through an open side door that had been left open. It seems someone had posted on Next Door about the items being put out, so many more pickers than usual had came from miles around. Police and security finally arrived to help keep people from going through the non-discarded items by putting a rope around the area, with a hand printed Do Not Take sign. Still, our neighbors had already lost a lot of their property to the pickers before they were stopped. They'd made a huge mistake putting the good stuff outside. Police wouldn't arrest anyone because folks were honestly confused, but they did help retrieve some items from pickers.
The sous vide would be a good pick up for your own home cooking.
Good words to live by...lol. Definitely like those EVERYTHINGS A DOLLAR sales.
As a toy guy I was like Nooooo! The handheld props are good but the figs are slow and low
Awesome as usual ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Kayla I love the ring on your forefinger is it for sale?
It probably is now. 😂🤣
Dang good toolbox too!
Wow 😂😂😂 that lighter is worth alittle more than a $1.❤❤❤❤
those were lamps. martha and george washington lamps - missing the lamp parts
Best way to clean that hat get it wet with warm water then spray it with clorox claen up scrub with a brush rinse put on a pot over night will be like new in the morning. I had hats that dirty greasey did that to it and it was like new
You might not have looked good in that T-shit/Dress getup, but would have been worth the price of admission to see you try it on!!😂😂😂
Sorry for your experience on those Star Wars items. That stinks when you get lied to! I wish you would have looked them up. If you don’t look them up there go to your vehicle to look. I’m sure they would have still been there.
Your shadow's walking funny with that toolbox 😂😂😂
lol that shadow is weak LOL i was walking just fine
That cow milk jug is cute too 🐄
We try to educate people on "listed comps" versus "sold comps". Especially when they are that far off... Occasionally we get attitude because we're basically proving to them that the item isn't worth what they think it is, when that happens we just say "ok, good luck getting that price for it" and walk away. I don't listen to someone telling me I can resell for a ton of money anymore, because I've learned the hard way it's usually not worth it and if they know it's worth that much, why are they selling it so cheap? Hopefully you were able to make some profit off of that stuff.
Playboy lighter??HOW MUCH does it sell for?? Oh my. goodness!! Hope you get that amount.
we have ours listed for $300 lol
Great buy on the Playboy lighter!
Hell YA brother! another Cleetus fan
do it for dale =)
A lot of stuff for $50!! Heavy too 😂
Love the Wizard of Oz magnets 🥰
I hope you can get the Dolphins hat clean.😊
Wow all that trek❤
Did you pass on the 🐢 turtle 🐢 Hero in a Half Shell ?! You most definitely could not pull off the T shirt dress .... and there's your comment 💙
i agree on the tshirt dress LOL
Those knives are awesome!
I was wondering why you didn’t bring up the value of the play boy lighter?
omg, all the time on ? are they cleaning out their garage or having a yard sale... i just don't stop anymore unless they have a sign lol
I know right - it’s always the question - like Saturday cleaning or you wanna sell some stuff
I have gotten some good stuff from people cleaning just because they didn't want to haul it back in the garage
😁👋👍👍👏👏💕🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing your day. As well as the lessons learned. I hope it goes better than you expect. ❤
That's happen to me before...kinda funny...and a bit embarrassing lol
Did he see you coming with the Star Trek stuff
i actually have everthing listed for appro $975 and sold $125 so far so a little better then i thought
How do you forget your wallet? I always check three things before I lock my truck- wallet keys and phone.
Did she forget Toto?
😊
Thanks so much for watching!
😂still fun watching you guys thrift. Sorry about Star Wars stuff.❤
Just sold 2 of the Amazon home one for $27 and one for $28
Thanks for the video! I've emailed you 3 times, I must be in your spam folder! :)
let me look in the folder - if you can anyway you can send a message through the website not an email - those are going through fine - we are fighting the email thing
@@beardedthriftmachine Gotcha - WILL DO!
@@beardedthriftmachine Sent!
Sorry you faced a scammer.. You learned the real price on the $350 offer.. Good luck from now on..
All clad?? Not a scooby 🙄
When they say that something sells for so much on eBay, I would be tempted to say, "Well you should list it on eBad instead of selling it a garage sale." They never look past the ridiculous new listed price to see the prices realized on sold items. Stoopid. Sorrry for being so snarky. Some times sparky has it's place.
I would have paid $50 to see you model that t-shirt lace dress😂😂
The best way to clean a ball cap is to set it on an upside down colander strainer) in the dishwasher, I have a small one that works perfectly!
“Mostly junk” 🤣
People need to stop referring to ebay at yardsales . Once they mention ebay, I stop listening.
I want a sticker❤❤
💥🤩💥🤩
You guys have just become my number one RUclips seller surpassing Commonwealth picker…” that ain’t too shabby” Keep up the great videos.
Commonworth picker is a nice guy on surface but a true relentless scavenger. He will ask for a dollar off of $2 items and act like their best friend till they accept. Truly degenerate behavior from an adult.
I do like that CW Picker does the more informative style videos. However as far as finding items and learning what things to watch out for The Beardies have him beat.
@@trtr5586lol, can’t tell if you’re joking or serious. If the alternative is coming off as a jerk and being disrespectful; I’d rather be around the people acting nice.
@@fpgaruda9966 No, the alternative is being nice and respectful without trying to nickle and dime everyone.
Why don't you look up the tags you aren't sure abt at garage/yard sales?
Alpaca throw for $2! Wowsers!!That’s a steal of a deal !!
i know right! we are keeping that LOL
Couldn’t you hear me yelling, don’t do it, don’t do it :). Star Wars stuff
Me too!!
Wow, that alpaca blanket was a great score. That is the warmest wool. It was probably hand woven. Keep it (or all it to me).
The two Renaissance ceramic "candle holders" are lamp basses for the boudoir
I'm honestly not sure why you are so against looking things up at garage sales especially when it involves a big investment. Of course don't be a scumbag that openly scans every item in from of them and lowball, but there are discreet ways of doing things that makes sense for both parties. For instance, these are classic resellers that know the online market and have them priced just below second hand online market aka minus fees/shipping. And before people say, "he did scan/look them up". That was one item listed for $80 and sold comps over $100 on ebay. Not trying to be a hater. Just saying don't feel weird/pressured to not do research before a big purchase. Love the channel!
I'm just like you. As soon as I hear Ebay I lose interest.
I hope you make a good profit on the Star Trek lot.
better then i thought i listed everthing for a value of $975
I know you don’t like looking up stuff at sales but if you’re gonna spend that kind of money…take a second and look them up.
Really liked the onyx apple, nice find.
Volume on low.Babysitting my 4 year old grandson Max. He’s fast asleep. Definitely don’t want to wake him.
I have a son named Max. Always loved the name. Enjoy him while he's small! ❤
Like i tell my son, its time to get some Man Shorts, your not a NBA plyer. Lol
Here first and still love ur ending! Somedays your video is the only reason I smile love y’all

@@OGTallis thank you
#18.33 did one of the baseball caps have the Olympic games logo on. If so it's the Olympic games summer Olympics in Paris and winter Olympic in Italy
Sorry about the Star Trek stuff. You got some other great stuff, though. Fun day!
That pair of renaissance figure could have been lamp bases..
I think I saw a cup-like holder on the back? If so they were made originally to hold tinder on mantles. Many have been converted to lamp bases, and eventually they were made as simply lamp bases.
One time my Dad saw a garage with the door opened so he stopped and was looking through the stuff and the Owner came out and asked what was he doing in their garage! That was Not a Sale!
Just curious, why don’t you look things up before you buy them?
i looked one up then did fast math - at 6.5 each and i scanned one at $110 i thought it was a win
Soooo-veed it’s a French cooking method
Just sold a veggie bullet on June 4, 2024 for $104. I had never heard of it either until a month or so ago when we found one to buy.
For the Star Trek toys go to a comic book store / game store and sell them. I bet that you will get more money back for them. Because as a toy collector myself they sell like hotcakes at comic book / game stores.
Star Trek figures are very poor sellers. The phasers aren't too bad. I overpaid for a Star Trek lot once and never again! You live and you learn. You'll probably be ok at the $325 price though.
Crab holder could be turned into bracelet and ring holder
That alpaca throw is amazing! I bought one in Peru for my mom and someone stole it.😢
That puppy was a Rempel Perky The Puppy. I’ve sold them in the past on Etsy. They sell pretty well.
Don't put Oxi on that hat. Just wash it. Oxi will make that green underbill bleed into the white part of the hat. I was hoping you would make them an offer on the entire box of hats. Why didn't you hear me yelling. Haha.
Everything a$1,!!
i know right my type of yard sale
you were right to feel that way you knew it and when that guy was so firm on the price he knew what he was doing. The only money to be made on that stuff was for him-put in the money listing, shipping them out probably be at a loss. be interested to see how it ends up. bummer
What happened to all of Dad's hair?!
you are the first to notice LOL he got a hair cut after 2 years
Those Wizard of Oz magnets are great 😊 I'd love to have some 😁 I really enjoy the yard sale videos. So much fun! Y'all have a great weekend!
they sold super fast - and for decent money i think we got $20 for them - they were super cool
I think some Micro Machines may still sell well-not sure about the Star Trek version though. I had a bunch of my son’s from the 1980’s, listed them on an eBay auction a few years ago with a buy it now price, & they sold immediately at the BIN price. I obviously listed them too cheap!
I saw the micro machines and it made me excited. I played with my brothers all the time as a kid.
That puppy is sooooo cute 😊
