Shiki is most likely fine. The profile for the reaper who has the Mr. Mew hoodie states that she is a huge fan of a new brand called Gato Nero that popped up sometime between the two games. My guess is Shiki started her own brand that is just starting to catch on.

If you have a switch go buy the remaster of the first game "the world ends with you. final remix", that one has more story at the end and that one connects with this game. If you have a Nintendo DS or 3DS then buy the orginal version because it is the best way to play the first game. If you don't have any then buy the game for your cellphone. If you don't wanna buy anything you can always try to download the APK for the phone, or if you want to experience the original version but don't have a DS then you can always download an emulator and the ROM, it plays wonderfully in a pc

I mean, they aren't, in the second trailer he appears this way and Rindo calls him Neku. I believe it is related to something with Rindo. I have the theory (SPOILERS FOR FINAL MIX) ....that they are the same person, or something like Neku was divided in 2 after he was killed again at the end of the final mix, or maybe something related to his entry fee. I mean, there are some hints at this. At the end of final mix, Neku is killed so he can enter the reaper's game again, Minamimoto is brought back so he can be Neku's partner; but we see Minamimoto with Rindo in the trailers; like, why??? Also the girl with Mr Mew mistakens Rindo with Neku. Rindo is obsessed with finding Neku. They both are wearing facemasks, and they both have blond hair in this game. What I find interesting is that Neku has his mask up while Rindo has it under his chin. And obviously the developers aren't hiding that he is Neku, so maybe the thing is to hide how they both look alike a lot? If you see the design from Neku in the first game and Rindo, both faces are pretty similar. And to finish with, in this opening movie we see Neku glitching, that means there is something off with him, something failing. Maybe it is that he isn't complete? Maybe his entry fee was a part of himself?
If Square wasn't going to bother do some proper marketing for the title, I wish Nintendo had the opportunity to market this game. The game oozes with the development team's heart and soul, a true passion project. A competent story, A LOT of subtle details, and overall a cohesive work of true craftsmanship. It's criminal that it sold miserably due to an effective marketing sabotage.

In any case, Square knows this and acknowledged in an investor report that the game rated and was well received by fans and its sales were hampered by poor marketing.

I don't know if this is a reach but I'm pretty sure the melody around the beginning is a riff on "It's So Wonderful". @@Webster2000 I think technically partners could stay in the background, like Pokemon Trainer. They don't have to do a lot, maybe have a smash attack assigned to them. How you switch partners though, I don't know. I think it should be random and only affect the appearance of the attack, not the hitboxes or strength.

Go play the first game, you can play it on DS, 3DS, android, iOS, Switch, and if you don't have any of those, or don't have any money on you you can alway download the APK, or a DS emulator and the ROM on your PC, it plays wonderfully in PC

1:00 Neku, we know that's you. I don't even know why they're bothering to hide him.
I mean, they aren't, in the second trailer he appears this way and Rindo calls him Neku.
I believe it is related to something with Rindo. I have the theory (SPOILERS FOR FINAL MIX) ....that they are the same person, or something like Neku was divided in 2 after he was killed again at the end of the final mix, or maybe something related to his entry fee.
I mean, there are some hints at this. At the end of final mix, Neku is killed so he can enter the reaper's game again, Minamimoto is brought back so he can be Neku's partner; but we see Minamimoto with Rindo in the trailers; like, why??? Also the girl with Mr Mew mistakens Rindo with Neku. Rindo is obsessed with finding Neku. They both are wearing facemasks, and they both have blond hair in this game.
What I find interesting is that Neku has his mask up while Rindo has it under his chin. And obviously the developers aren't hiding that he is Neku, so maybe the thing is to hide how they both look alike a lot? If you see the design from Neku in the first game and Rindo, both faces are pretty similar.
And to finish with, in this opening movie we see Neku glitching, that means there is something off with him, something failing. Maybe it is that he isn't complete?
Maybe his entry fee was a part of himself?

If Square wasn't going to bother do some proper marketing for the title, I wish Nintendo had the opportunity to market this game. The game oozes with the development team's heart and soul, a true passion project. A competent story, A LOT of subtle details, and overall a cohesive work of true craftsmanship. It's criminal that it sold miserably due to an effective marketing sabotage.

During "E3" season, Square's digital presentation contained ZERO seconds or any acknowledgement of NEO: TWEWY despite the game releasing the following month. Square's presentation was almost purely centered on a Marvel game. In Nintendo's Direct of that season, NEO showed up merely in the B reel of the Japanese direct.
In any case, Square knows this and acknowledged in an investor report that the game rated and was well received by fans and its sales were hampered by poor marketing.

Twewy series is meant to be a picture into that point in time in shibuya. It’s why they had that AR and promo anime playing in shibuya along with a cafe
And so what if it wasn’t in E3. The game surpassed the Zelda remaster. It just so happens that squares expectations for the game were for it to sell like 7 rebirth
Also the game released the same day as its anniversary and you can’t give up that release window

Especially the anime; they're definitely not advertising its sequel in the anime adaptation. And TWEWY is an adaptation of a cult classic, meaning it's not going to gain good viewership to begin with. Events where you have a lot of eyes like a Nintendo direct, that will gain orders of magnitude more than those events combined.

If people didn’t see the anime while walking across shibuya crossing and if it didn’t catch there eyes and if they didn’t noticed all the QR codes that promote the game across the city. Then I don’t know else you can do to catch someone’s attention. Along with having your own cafe
And again the anime along with kingdom hearts was used to bring interest back into the series

1. THE WORLD IS YOURS. This one's the main song that we hear at the beginning.
2. Twister: Because of course it is.
3. INCONGROUS: This is that "O-ohh, O-ohh, the rhythm's gonna set me free" bit
4. We're Losing You: This plays at the end.
5. I don't know if this is a reach but I'm pretty sure the melody around the beginning is a riff on "It's So Wonderful". If anyone can confirm this, let me know, otherwise I've made a complete fool of myself in front of thousands of strangers on the internet.

@@Webster2000 I think technically partners could stay in the background, like Pokemon Trainer. They don't have to do a lot, maybe have a smash attack assigned to them. How you switch partners though, I don't know. I think it should be random and only affect the appearance of the attack, not the hitboxes or strength.

@@kereminde The main thing I didn’t like was Fret’s remind mini game, idk if it’s my joy-cons or not but rotating the analog sticks to create an image was super annoying…other than that I enjoyed the new touches to the classic format of the first game, but yeah I see what you mean on how the pins to button format can become potentially problematic.

For those who dont know and ive only noticed after replaying the game after beating it on the switch version and has ps extra downloaded onto my ps5 but rindo's pin icon at the bottom changes shape the more you progress into the game
This game was a masterpiece. One of my favorite JRPGs ever. So so much better than the original, which I already enjoyed
