I immediately subscribed as soon as he broke that first bucket and kept it in the video (keeping it real) haha I love it! Thanks for this awesome video! Don’t stop keeping it real!
Excellent video. I was ready to press the order button on some cones and my wife sent me this. Easy to follow and saving me quite a bit of change! Appreciate you taking the time to share. Also appreciate you keeping the blooper in. Every other video is always so polished and most people don't like to include the struggles so it makes you, the consumer of the video, feel as though you can't get 'it' together so thanks!!
Haha that looked a bit old and brittle but glad you included that in the clip because if you had said not to use an old bucket there would always be someone who wouldn’t listen. To see it happen is always a good teaching tool. You could always use the wife’s blow dryer to warm up the plastic a little making it more pliable
So easy, my 12-year-old made two in one afternoon. But due to inflation, the buckets are over $5 now =P THANK YOU for this easy and honest tutorial. Going to butcher our first round of meat birds this weekend!
I am impressed with the antlers in your barn. As a fellow hunter, I know the work that went into those. Even a chip shot in your back yard, still has plenty work involved.
A Large size at Mann-Lake (Stromburg) is like 54 bucks, people say the medium is kinda small for broilers. I think the plastic cones cost more than metal. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
Well I bought one from TSC and it was about $50ish and was for 8-10 lb birds but I did get the red bucket lol same idea there , so it’s off to TSC tomorrow because most of my birds are half that size and want to slide threw my metal cone, I will make a few in different neck sizes , thanks so much for sharing :-)
Old sun baked buckets like to shatter like that.. they get brittle in the sun... My friend used to stand on those when he did framing.. until one day one shattered while standing on it and the bucket cut him from his calf to his knee... got a sheet ton of stitches on that one.
I took the real cheap route. Road marker cone, mounted to a fence rail, enlarged the hole, oval shape, pointy end of the cone, with a box cutter/ stanley knife, 30 second job. Can do chickens, larger road marker cone for geese & turkey.
We’ll done man! I am gonna make a few of those today. I may try using rivets. I wonder if using a heat gun to fold could help in making the plastic more malleable? Way to go!
This is a great video. My wife and I think that we've found my doppelganger! You look JUST like me! (Or do I look like you? I don't know which) LOL But anyway, this is a great video and you saved me some money. I'll be dispatching my first 8 meat birds next week, so I figure one or two cones will be enough for me. Thanks again for taking the time to show us.

I was looking at the reviews for them on Amazon and somebody suggested checking out this video😂

Lol, if the wife allows that. True that, about seeing the old bucket breaking.
When the bucket broke I lost it lol. That's about my luck 🤣
Good job bro! I like that you left the fail in ❤

So that gave me the idea to use a few safety cones I have kicking around! Thanks!

At 6:35 you say you use an angle iron to cut the bucket. 😂 That made my day!
You are so genuine, really enjoyed and learned from your video💕
Lol love this video! Gave me some good laughs! Thank you for this video! I’m making one today!
Well, that saved me some money. Thanks for the idea/tip, Amigo ! -Cheers from San Diego.
Thanks for sharing! Will be making a couple tonight for butchering on Saturday.
Yea! I like this idea and it sure beats the $30-40 each price on the stainless ones.
Yes it does!

First year processing chickens and we used this video to make our cones. Thank you!!!
Thank you for this. I was just pricing out kill cones 😱💵 to make life a little easier on the farm. Every time I process I try another diy 😂
I do the same thing
This is great. Thank you so much. I got a couple roosters that just out their welcome. When after my little girl so they'll be in the pot
A very good video! I will process some rooster chickens next weekend and I will for sure make these cones until then. Subscribed! =)
My wife just asked why I bought new buckets.. Then 5:00 happened.. So I subscribed

Info.i really needed. Confused though. Is this a separate channel ? Sage ?
Enjoyed this! We only have my social security for income so any way we can save is gratifying!
That first bucket got a little too much sunshine! UV breakdown is a bummer. Great cone though, thanks for the easy to follow instructions.
Nice video!! I have subscribed, liked, and hit the Alarm - All option. Thanks.
That's about how it goes in my shop lol
Great project. Our roosters are starting to get fiesty with each other. First time butchering but i like the cost of this much more.
Did they work well during processing?
I’m going to try this but think I will use 10/32 screws instead of zip ties of course I will use a counter sink bolt
That was awesome
Great video! Thanks for not editing out the snap😁
Thank you for this video. New subscriber.
One recommendation. Please wear safety glasses.
Great video!

Do you know whether your 4" opening is large enough for muscovy ducks?
Do you have a suggestion on a reasonable priced butchering knife?
just purchase a filet knife from walmart for fish

"Thought somebody was sneaking up on me." Hmmm
The price of 5 gal. buckets have gone way up since this video was made but, it's still way less expensive than buying galvanized cones.
Why not get old street cones?
Same buckets are $4.99 today.
Angle grinder.
Ok...ok..ok...let's see these comments! Lmao!!
Angle grinder? Or angle iron???😂
Thanks! 2 stainless cones are $60!
Looks like Santa
Where are your gloves and eye protection sir?? Ppe, please don't take chances with eyes and hands
Perfect example of inflation... The Tractor Supply bucket was $2.99 at the end of 2020. By the end of 2022 they're up to $4.99. Let's Go Brandon!
bad camera angles
Scattered thoughts, unprepared tools and poor material. Appreciate the effort but painful watch.
