- In honor of the 10th anniversary of Big Beat Mario, I've uploaded an HD version of the classic YTPMV!
While I do have the original Vegas project file, it unfortunately doesn't sound quite right in my newer version of Vegas. But I've done the next best thing and made a 720p upscale so you can get the biggest beats out of the original render. Enjoy!

I love how the crustiness of the original clips is what makes this YTPMV so great. I wonder how this track would sound with HD rips of the same clips.
I actually had these games on CD-i and did some 720p rips back in the day. I thought it made it better, tbh

I've only done the first 50 seconds of it, though without the drumbeats (as those I think don't come from Hotel Mario). It's really time-consuming.
My favorite thing about this RUclips Poop song is that it follows a lot of elements of big band, swing, jazz, electro swing, and the likes. It has scatting, the brass instruments, the tempo, the end tapping, different phrases. I could easily hear it as a big band piece. and yet it's made only of Hotel Mario clips.
It sounds and feels both nostalgic and timeless and that's probably why it's my favorite YTPMV ever.

I've been heralding Big Beat Mario as one of the finest YTPMVs around, even to this day. Ironically and unironically I've loved it since the first time I saw it a long, long time ago.

Feels like yesterday this was getting praised by everyone on YouChew. Can't really be understated just what an amazing labor of love this was and still is
this ytpmv is a fully engaging, three-act song and has such masterful editing that I can't even believe it.
There's a metric ton of YTPMV's that really amp-up the flashiness factor, the works of OctagonCollaberation are a good example of that. But this one excels at just being a solid piece of music, and that only.
I mean, the visuals are good too, since they get the job done and don’t overshoot the flashiness
damn, 14 years later and still an absolute banger, I was worried it wouldn't be as good as I remembered, because we view the past with rose-tinted glasses, but it looks like my glasses were crystal clear haha
Still the most legendary YTPMV of all time. I remember when I first saw this, I was in middle school and showed my then-girlfriend and she remarked that this was "really impressive", it still is! Now let's get ready to catch her!

after all these years i still admire your editing skills, this video is one of my biggest inspirations to make my own ytpmvs, i can make those now just because there are tools that makes my process easier but i cant imagine myself making a full ytpmv manually, especially the syncing part, note by note, i tried it once and im never going to do it again, it was painful
