Thank you Marc for this. Very easy to follow and to learn with this format. This song is one of the most beautiful of their all discography. There is a timeless elegance in the chord progression, the orchestration. It also features the most emotional guitar solo of any of their songs in my opinion.

i ve no idea how to play music, but as all of you the last part of this song makes me fly, i am waiting till my 60s (bacause i am studing deep learning now) to start with piano, and i wonder if can i use my left hand to play string part and my right hand to main line? thnks for all
cheers! Yeah I think you can about that multiple ways, for example some keyboards allow you to split the sound between left and right (e.g. play a violin sound on the left, and piano sound on the right). Or you can also multi-track, like record the violin part and then on-top of that play the piano part
@@3minuteswithMarc great thanks 4 anwer Trying the split aprouch, how difficult could be? What keyboard can use this feature? What keyboard can y choose to start With (With split method or without if it is difficult
@@genkoBA Hmm I think many keyboards can, but you will be able to see that on the keyboard features. Doing the exact replication would be very difficult and might not even sound good, but making an arrangement to approximately get the overall harmonies could work
Thank you!! Kind of a technical constraint, I keep the images consistent across each vid, but when filming the piano I change the zoom/angle depending on the song and sometimes it doesn't align with the image
How would you explain the Fdim chord in this song? Is it an example of modal mixture, secondary diminished, or something else entirely? I am really struggling to figure out how it's functioning in a song that seems to be in Am.
Hmm if you look at it as Fdim7, I think that chord progression has been used before (in the reverse order) by Alex, for example in Sweet Dream TN or in Four out of Five, but it's definitely an interesting one!
@@3minuteswithMarc ahh i see cool, nice video dude love it, just i was wondering because thats the chords i play on guitar while playing along to this so i was just wondering aha
I love how creative are the chords on this, definitely one of the best progressions in the whole album
One of my fav songs from the album!
Love your tutorials Marc! To me, they seem the most comprehensive and accurate on RUclips : )

Can you make a tutorial for from the ritz to the rubble by arctic monkeys please?
Perhaps in the future, but right now I'll be focusing on The Car!
@@3minuteswithMarc thank you! I'm following your tutorial on body paint at the moment haha, they're always so accurate!

i thoguht after Am it was Cmaj7 then C7 not G6 Gm6
Bass notes are playing G, hence why not Cmaj7 & C7 (bass note would play C in that case)
