At work when we had to cut lettuce like that I was always taught to slam it into the counter on the core to knock it our of there. it always worked well. I definitely never punched it lol 🤷🏻

They are hilarious but I don’t click on them right away because the title makes it sound like it will be kind of boring. Then I remember it’s Rachel’s video so it Will be funny. I worked at the salad bar in a Ponderosa steakhouse when I was a teen (now 65) ,we slammed the lettuce butt on the counter & it fell out easily. I had to rip 5 20lb. for every dinner!
A garlic farmer posted the best way to peel garlic. She said to microwave the garlic for 5-10 seconds. I’ve been doing it this way and it’s SO easy!!

I don't get butter boards either. That sounds gross, especially if it's a warm day and the butter melts everywhere.
Are cob loaves a "thing" in the US? They're all the rage here in Australia.
Take round loaf (cob loaf), cut the lid off. Scoop out the insides. Make cob loaf filling (usually it's a cream cheese and spinach type dip thing, or bacon instead of spinach). Put filled cob loaf in the oven, along with the "guts" and "top" of the bread, until the goo is heated through and the bread bits are a little toasted.
Dip the bread bits into the warm goo in the middle of the loaf (instead of into butter). As the delicious cheese stuff gets consumed, you can start to pull chunks out of the side of the loaf to dip into the remainder of the cheese dip.
Of course there are people trying to bastardise the cob loaf and put their own twist on it, and I have some opinions about it. Make a sweet cream cheese dip and put it into the centre of the loaf as chilled and no baking? No, that's gross. Garlic bread cob loaf and other baked deliciousness? Hell yes.

I was born in 1967 and as a in I have distinct memories of my Mom taking and slamming a head of lettuce on the counter and her pulling the cone shaped root (or whatever you call that center gross piece) out. And she told me if you use a knife to cut it out the edges will get spots on them and that you can't eat those parts.
That was only 7 photos of the buyer board. I feel cheated.

Peeling garlic hack: chuck the bulb in the microwave and nuke for like 15 to 20 seconds. It's the only trick I've tried that actually worked.

Dr pepper has a mixture of 23 flavors so just putting some cherry flavoring in sparkling water is not going to make it taste like dr pepper.
