I put it in sport mode, there was no difference in acceleration or handling. I didn't even complete the test drive course it was that bad. The place I was testing at was 0% incline, so there wasn't any incline to struggle on with acceleration. Lesson learned.

I'm expecting more problems in 17k miles when I reach 99k. What happened the 1st time is the transmission seal leaked. There was no warning. The extended warranty covered the $3500 repair. The next time I recognized the light whining and had it checked by my mechanic immediately and saved my transmission. The transmission fluid line house clamp at the radiator wasn't tight and I lost fluid again, without any alarm pee warning. Nissan wouldn't offer me any fixes. I never received any warranty notice or recall notice.

A car failing at over 100K miles probably could last till 150K miles, I wouldn't keep any car beyond that milage. I would not touch a CVT used car.
