My first visit to St Augustine was years ago and we took the horse drawn carriage ride with the very best driver/tour guide. We walked through all the incredibly beautiful churches, walked the old fort when they did a cannon demo. The museum and incredible artwork. The Blvd of shops all over were incredible.... Subsequent trips were spent discovering what we previously missed... So much to see and do there. Christmas time is very important too, very pretty. Needless to say we have walked miles there.
Ice Plant is awesome. I live in FL, St Augustine is my favorite city. Such a great place to explore, and take pictures. Gorgeous beaches, historic areas, great shopping, very arty.
Man! You two are quickly becoming Floridians! Who can blame y'all! It' beautiful there! Except for them gators and humid summers. Can't wait to see where you're next adventures take you two!
New Subscriber, very good visiting a Beautiful Florida Destination, we been many times and going again for our 50th Wedding Anniversary in December 2024, and taking our little Dog. 👏👏
I'm a native born Floridian and I gotta tell ya I'm glad to finally see St. Augustin. It's one of those places as a kid and younger adult that I just wasn't too interested in. Now that I'm no longer in Florida I deeply regret not visiting and playing tourist while I had the opportunity to. I know a 10 hour drive doesn't sound like much but I'm still learning how to navigate with only 1 leg but soon enough I'll b driving again. Happy trails and safe travels to you both!
Who knew that I would enjoy a 20 min video with Jesus and his wife walking around st Augustine at 3 am instead of sleeping but I did and I might do it again tomorrow.
Absolutely LOVE St. Augustine area!! So many excellent restaurants, bars and free music venues. Mill Top bar was a favorite for their food, drinks and music. (Very casual)
My husband and I just purchased an RV and we plan to hit the road soon. We’re in our 70s. Looking at your boondocking from 2yrs ago we plan to try to find a few places. That’s what makes us nervous it not finding a place for the night. I wish you had GPS coordinates in your description so we could find it but understand you probably want those places. Love your videos and especially all the cooking. We have lots of videos to catch up on. Thanks for everything. 😊
I came upon your video after speaking with a friend who has a 2nd home in St. Augustine which he rents out to friends, so I was checking the area out for a possible visit. Very nice relaxing presentation you two produced! So much Spanish history (my ancestry) so I need to go out there and visit. Looking forward to viewing more of your videos!
You guys Rock, walking all day. Cody, you are getting more handsome every video. That food looked yummy. Glad you two can experience these wonderful places!!!❤❤
Lived in that town a few years as a kid, the springs have sulphur in it, makes the mosquitoes avoid you, fountain of youth could be any of the springs on the st. johns river, once you jump into spring water you instantly feel 10 years younger
Grew up in that area and I'm visiting in 2 weeks! If you ever have the opportunity, stay on Anastasia Island, right on the water. Great farmers market at the Amphitheater on Saturdays.
Your in my neck of the woods now. I grew up on Anastasia Beach and we go to StAug about once a month, living just Northwest of there. There is free oversize parking between US 1 and the main parking garage.
Well thank you for the video it's places that I would never see because life gets in the way when my mother was there she took the airboat ride she said it was really fun she was visiting my sister in Florida lots of good food I hear their Seafood is really good but thank you for the video I appreciate😂 you two be safe out there you're in Florida😮 Keep Your Head on a swivel❤
My wife and I enjoy following along as you two make your way all over this beautiful country. If you are planning on making it up here to Jacksonville Florida we would love to pop back to say hi. We just made it home from our honeymoon yesterday or we would have tried to see y’all in St Augustine. Keep on traveling. ❤❤
I love you guys and hooked on all your videos exploring the USA and explaining the history of sites, the food you show in the restaurants you eat and the cooking in your trailer. Well done!
You guys are fun I met you at REI years ago in Dallas, Tx sorry for jumping in on your conversation with the REI dude I didn’t know who you were or.about RUclips until you told me and you were right about making a living on RUclips back then I still know about places in colorado away from people you would like. Life is fun when you explore……
Cody, you have a beautiful courtyard at every campsite and hike you take 😊. We have been to the fort. It is so cool. There were volunteers in period clothes when we were there in 1987. I wish we would have toured more of the town when we were there. It is so cool the way you two always enjoy your food adventures. We feel the same way when we are in campgrounds...our trailer is 21' and looks like a toy next to those giant rigs 😂. Happy camping.
At Augustine is so cool 😎 I LOVE the Spanish architecture and the concrete made from shells !Yall were right! A must see destination in Florida. Not in the summer though LOL! Too too hot ☀️ Awesome vlog! Thanks as always for taking us along. 💜🥰 OH and I HAVE TO mention the gorgeous peacocks 🦚 MAGNIFICO
There's also another fort there called fort matanzas. It's about 30 minutes south of where you were. They take you on a boat ride there and they have some reenactments in the fort and it's all free including the boat ride. I believe it was a look out for the big fort where the inlet to the bay is. There's so many awesome things around there you can spend several days I'm sure you guys probably read a lot about all the other things to do but just didn't have time. Saint Augustine is one of my wife and my wife and i favorite places to go and we live in Cocoa Beach so you were in our kneck of the woods lately!
Um... LOVE Kellie's shirt!!! Back in the 80s Shreveport had a tornado roll thru, picked up a buncha peacocks & dropped them off over the Red River in Bossier City 😁 they were fine* Anywho Safe travels ✌️
LOL thanks for sharing guys, managed property. There for 5 years before I moved back to. The Gainesville -areas- and the waters of fountain of youth,. just a cool display thing lol. And the trolley don’t actually stop n let u get off n check Stuff Out. ,It’s only a drive by tour! CHeck out Ripleys when u get a chance it’s super cool, and make your way over off A1a and down to the st Augustine beach beautiful there too. But yes need good hiking shoes y’all! Lol… also the alligator farm is super cool,Cody would def dig it! We Love y’all thanks for sharing , and we love having u all in our state!! God Bless be safe!!! (Daddy-n-Daughter)
Loved your tour of St. Augustine. You two do the most interesting and fun tours on YT. Kellie, I'm surprised your shoes aren't comfortable for lots of walking. Not sure what brand you have, but mine are Mephisto and I walk all over Europe in them. I'm now on my 6th pair over 20 years! Love them! Thanks for sharing the info on the coquina walls. So interesting and I've never heard of that before. How was the octopus? I do agree every place does it differently!
I remember being at the castle in the 90s and they had water around it..And also if you smell a citrus scent i think it waa..It was the spirit of the wife who was offed cause she was cheating with the husbands friend brother or something like that..if you go at certain times they do reenactments load the cannons and fire them..With blanks of course..Idk if they still do..This was in late 90s..Loved visiting St Augustine..Hope you guy's enjoyed
I thought of a Little Toilet too at the mineral water fountain area. Funky water. I wonder if they have it tested? Peacocks are so cool looking and they sound so funny and tropical! Cool old town. Didn't they just have a storm go through there?
Excellent video! You guys always do such a great job. Trivia fact: Pensacola is the oldest settlement. It was settled in 1559, lasted two years, before being destroyed by the local native Americans. In the meantime, St Augustine was settled and Pensacola was re-settled as a permanent settlement. You said it right though, St Augustine is the oldest continuous settlement, but Pensacola was originally settled first. It's an ongoing debate we like to share. I do like St Augustine, and my youngest daughter graduated from Flagler University there. So, I do have ties, and the two cities have a lot of similarities. As always, enjoy following you and come back and see us again in Pensacola! Don

Told you Jack fish IS totally edible. It needs to be spiced up and smoked, NOT grilled or fried. No sense in wasting a good catch!! Glad y’all enjoyed St Augustine! We were just there for 2 weeks. North beach Rv Resort!!
The street you guys were walking down Magnolia St by the fountain of youth is supposedly where they filmed the scene run forest run in Forest Gump. Either way its listed as 1 of the 10 most beautiful streets in the country.
I've been to St. Augustine twice. Once as a kid with my family and the second time in 2018 while I was in Jacksonville for a good friend's wedding. I also didn't like the taste of the fountain of youth water. It smelled like rotten eggs. 😆 As we stood atop the Castillo de San Marcos fort, the soldiers set off the cannons twice. It was pretty loud and really cool. Definitely wear comfortable walking shoes. It's always hot, humid and muggy there so dress light.
Really enjoyed returning to St Augustine thru yall! So much history and a really fun place to visit!! Cracked me up Cody how you keep driving the water even though it was "fart infused".😂 Great video guys!

The way you casually take another drink. After saying it smells like fart spray and taste like rotten vegetables. 😂😂😂
It's high in sulfur content, thus the fart smell.
@@5Ring yes. I like high sulphuric hot springs
pretty chill
That dip probably contained amberjack, as opposed to what Cody caught, which was a jack crevalle.
Great way to spend the day. Another super video.
