I only use the Xpert for conservation hunts when I buy cases of #2/BB. I hand load my sub gauges with TSS for regular duck season, especially when the birds plume out pretty because the #9 TSS doesn't tear the birds up as bad.
Great video. Wish I would have watched this before buying a case….. but I’m only using it for hunting on small tanks with 30 yards being the max distance.
Thanks for watching! 30yds and it this will be good stuff. I/C, maybe mod (pattern some....you got a case) You should have no problem killing birds 30 and in with steel shot. Actually that's all I use on small tanks in TX when I know shot's will be close on small tanks.
This is why I reload. I know that my loads are zinc plated steel and TPS wads with LiL Gun or 20/28. The loads are always the same except for pellet size. I’ve never been happy with any X-pert product.
After watching this video shame on Winchester. Short on payload and inconsistent shot never a good outcome. So happy to hear you are close to the Win AA HS 2.5” tss duplex load. I enjoy your videos best on RUclips for sub ga….
It is a shame. The crazy part is with all the negatives....this shell will take many ducks and pheasants this year. With a good I/C or Mod choke over decoys.....it will hammer ducks.....as ugly as it is on the inside. It still amazes me what a pattern that shot produces.
I may take you up on that. It seems some folks have good luck. I may just start working up some data with steel shot or TSS for them. Let you guys have some fun
1350 ps ses lent pour l acier ses pas pour une bonne penetration minimum 1450 ps pour une belle penetration 1350 ps its slow for steel its steps for a good penetration minimum 1450 ps for a good penetration good video
Don't know about their shotgun stuff but the worst bullets I've ever seen were some .357 125gr nose was so miss shaped could not be crimped and 22 55gr boat tails crooked bases and some bad primers.
Typical Winchester steel shot shenanigans... Tom Armbrust says 1/16oz (25-ish grains) variance is the industry standard. His words not mine... you should call and talk to him. You and him would be on the phone for hours taking ballsitics-- I talked to him for 3.5 hours one night. Good guy to brain pick... I send him a lot of my testing these days. Let's me send 3 shells over 6 at Precision. Keeps the cost down when shooting in the dark with a new project.
Wouldn’t mind buying it for the hulls, but expert steel pellets are horribly inconsistent, out of round, not the right size, not even worth trying to salvage for hand-loading.
After messing with the hulls.....I think they will be fine for an actual 3/4oz steel load and I'm sure other offerings. It's a nice hull....but just like the 2 3/4 it doesn't have the room of the Fiocchi....the Federal 3" hull (from what I'm seeing) has more room but also a paper base wad. so I'm not sure what that will do for pressure. I'll find out. Thanks for watching.

Out side taper is most important for feeding in auto loaders
As always good stuff 👏
I'm wondering if Winchester is using the same bushing they use for lead shot, to answer the light shot loads?

This is why i reload also. I wasn't real familiar with "Xpert" brand....but now I am.

Emailed you (correct address?) regarding your 410 duplex loads, but havent heard back.
info@bullet225ho.com is email. I just looked and seem to have responded to all questions. when did you send it?
Lol I will take your federal top gun hulls. I've been using them with a PC28 wad and having good luck shooting collard doves.

LOL!! Tom has made me late for dinner a time or two. He's tested some of my stuff. He's full of info for sure. Thanks for watching.
I have 2 28ga's. One is 2 and 3/4 & the other is 3". Depending on who you talk to my 3" really isn't a 3". Lol
Steel shot will change that in the 28. 7/8oz of steel is coming. Trust me.
