You gave me your monies worth. Your effort has been rewarded by some great footage of the train. Sad to see in the first location the signal box has not been saved There was a campaign to keep it after closure. Really liked the pass at speed too which sounds great
It is yes My Aunt lives close by and sent me a news cutting about the box I remember when the station had wooden buildings and the branch line to Peterhead was open
What is all the fuss about. An HST is a glorified DMU. Just don't get it. No locomotive, just a rake of coaches with a motor at both ends. Crikey, I can't begin to imagine how these enthusiasts would have dealt with the end of the A4's and A3's in the 60's. A4 versus HST? Talk about chalk and cheese!! Time to chuff chuff out of here!
Nick Hales Oh I don’t know, maybe because the HST revolutionized rail transport, put Britain’s railways on a faster, progressive track out of the 1960s and into the 1970s and beyond?
I’m hoping that entire set gets preserved. There’s nothing more beautiful than the 125 when it comes to the UK.
Fantastic video. I will miss the 125 dearly. It holds a special place in my heart.
Great video...
Gonna miss Class 43 😢
Lovely memories
Very professionally shot. Well done :)

Is sir Kenneth Grannge still alive, this train in this livery still looks modern today, the best train we ever had, sorry to see them go.
Subbie fo life right here bro
Legend! Likewise :)
The East Coast Mainline is not the same without the HSTs
Thanks! Fab success story. Does andbody know the RAL colour code for the yellow on the front ends?
Did they repaint an entire hst or kept one for all these years and polished it?
Repaint, its consist was 2 power cars and 7 carriages, nothing more was repainted,
British Trains Hub ah ok thanks mate 👍
It’s a shame they couldn’t fit valentines engines in and refurb the coaches to their 1970s condition
It is a shame but it was still a superb job done im sure you’ll agree :)
Great video
BR blue and grey never looked so good.
