8 years later this video is still impressive, dude. As a fellow C.O.B. fan, I'm beyond impressed by how convincingly you nailed these. Hate Crew for life!!!
El Estepario won in playing drums and You, my brother won in playing guitar. I'm not only inasanely impressed by the way how You executed those solos, but the thing You transitioned it all to your own tuning hypes me even more. I play 7string as well and never thought about that way. Changing tuning while playing in a band really stopped me from covering many of my favourite bands. Also, if you did the backing tracks mix it's another thing I'd like to bring up. It's awesome and I even connected with them to this level that I knew what's gonna happen next, if we're going straight into that solo or do we want to start next song with a riff. Man, that brought me joy! Mad props from Poland, dude. I hope You're still on guitar, that would be TREMENDOUS waste knowing that you've stopped. Take care!
Nastyyyyy. To think he’s gone just kills me but to see how many he’s inspired is just absolutely amazing, this exists because of Alexi. This dude learned from the best. Keep shredding cuz you’re killin it.
I've been play guitar for 12 years now and I know my way around the instrument and I got some Bodom covers too on my page too. Just want to say that what you did in this video is really really impressive. Not only are you a dedicated COB fan but you got some amazing dexterity to do that many Laiho solos in a row, I am impressed.
what can I say? Alexi is a psycho on guitar and keyboard solos! to me all solos are the best from all the albums, it's hard to choose just one. but from follow the reaper album definitely "kissing the shadows" takes the prize. it blows your mind away! no doubt
Dude your a great guitar player alexi music is no joke but you nailed it. I'm really on to children of bodom right now and I know first hand how hard this music is to get right. It takes time and lots of it. But I must say you did a fantastic job. There was a few muffled Notes and a late bend or 2 but I must say your are an excellent guitar player anyone who has negative comments to say are just jealous. Rock on bring. P.s. you kinda look like Kirk hammit
Awesome, amazing, perfect. I am amazed you learned all those and did them all in 1 take. If i would have underlined that 1 thousands of times i would haha.
Thank you a lot !! I have been seeing your COB video ten times a day for two weeks ahahah. You are great really, I wish I was playing at half level as you do ;)
Astounding dude, never heard anyone play those solos better part from Alexi himself, where did you find the tab for the mask of sanity solo, I've been looking for one for years and cant seem to find an accurate one, can you help me out?
Do you think you'll ever do Are You Dead yet, Blooddrunk, and Relentless Reckless Forever? I know you're busy with your own music these days, but I figure it's worth asking :P
Awesome dude, though i was disapointed you didn't play my very favorite parts from Taste of my scythe, Hate me, Northern comfort or even Kissing the shadows, but still thumbs up for the vid ;)
Between 2:45 and 3:06 did you use a delay? Good job on the vid, I reckon with a tab I could do some of yhose solos but to do all without a tab takes skill. Well done
@ArmsterCommentaries it's waaayyyy easier to learn stuff like this by ear rather than tab, man. Once you learn the scales, all you have to do is listen closely for the pattern used and you've learned yourself a solo
dude, after playing that much technical shit without stopping, his hand was probably cramping something fierce. i agree though, there's a bunch of cool stuff he left out. it's hard to blame him though, he did a great job.
Hey! really nice, I have some skills of improvise but i wanna focus in alexi's style because it's more technic than others, do you know any books, DVD, lesson, any thing can I use to improve my skills? I preciate that, man
The way you, specifically, play the notes at ruclips.net/video/XDebcv2mJqQ/видео.html is forever burned into my brain as one the greatest moments in guitar history. it sounds a bit like you screw up because of the way it squeals but if that is your own intentional, personal touch then its absolutely genius. Love it.
it doesn't matter, he wrote it, one thing is for you to play calmly in the studio to get it right, another thing is the adrenaline of the stage, in the middle of drunkenness and totally agitated, don't compare one thing with another
Whenever I watch your CoB videos from time to time, it makes me want to pack away my guitar. Like...what's even the fucking point of me playing at all? LOL
alexi was only 20 years old when he wrote this masterpiece
he was only 20 years old when he died

Kissing The Shadows has the best fucking guitar solo of all mother fucking time and beyond. Really. HOLY MOTHER FUCKING SHIT.

very good job mate !!!!! your videos are great !! ( also great job with the tuning it must be hard to figure all the songs in one tuning :) )
u deserve like 1million views
i had so many reruns on this video :) PLEASE do one with the are you dead yet album!!!!
For example from 3:48 to 4:02 that's D (3rd fret on the low B-string and 5th on the E-string). So it must be B Standard. But yeah anyway.
can't believe you did this all in one take
So amazing!
Pure Talent..
Congrats.
Thank you a lot !! I have been seeing your COB video ten times a day for two weeks ahahah. You are great really, I wish I was playing at half level as you do ;)

Sweet sweet work, keep it up 💪🏻
Oh my God dude... You are totally awesome!!!!! 5 stars
best cob album.....and ur the best cover man:)
Wonderful
Pretty sure he's playing in dropped A (7 string), you can see him barring 3rd fret on the low B-string to play C chords
Astounding dude, never heard anyone play those solos better part from Alexi himself, where did you find the tab for the mask of sanity solo, I've been looking for one for years and cant seem to find an accurate one, can you help me out?
you - God of guitar!
When I watch this I not only adore the skills but it makes me wonder how the fuck Alexi comes up with this shit.
I think this is one of the best CoB cover solos i`ve seen. Could you give me Kissing the shadows Tab you used to play it? please?
awesome man! tumbs up for ya, keep rockin!

Dude that was awesome.. being a guitar player I know how hard that is
Awesome dude, though i was disapointed you didn't play my very favorite parts from Taste of my scythe, Hate me, Northern comfort or even Kissing the shadows, but still thumbs up for the vid ;)
I'd like to see some wintersun solos but I know that's like asking for the impossible, not that it is but wintersun is a whole nother level .

Is there anyway I could get this in a download? I would love to be able to listen to this on my iPod!
nice playing can you tell me how you do this cool backround please
dude u´re amazing, keep with that.

dude, after playing that much technical shit without stopping, his hand was probably cramping something fierce. i agree though, there's a bunch of cool stuff he left out. it's hard to blame him though, he did a great job.
It sounds like he did. Just guessing. Only because the sound did change, looks like he stepped on a pedal and does sound a lil delayed.
