@Reign Ray yup, have been using Instaflixxer for years myself :)
This a stellar vid. For those of us diy folks that don't have access to a ac machine. Remove the passenger side radiator shroud with fan. Qty 4, 10mm bolts and one wire harness to unplug. Bottom 2 bolts only need be loosened. The wire harness plug also clipped to the shroud so you have to unclip that as well.
FINALLY. A proper video and description for a mechanics video. THANK YOU
Thank you for this video! I was able to replace mine in just over an hour after watching your video. I removed the fan because I didn't have the equipment to evacuate the AC.
How did you get the clip on the bottom of the fan off? Stuck on this part. SO frustrating.
@@kimberleesouthern8775 I used a pair of long pliers with 45° tips and a pair of short needle nose pliers. I covered both tips of both pliers with electrical tape to protect the electrical connectors. From underneath the car, I held onto the top connector with the long pliers and used the needle nose pliers to press down on the electrical clip and pull down on the connector to disconnect the two.
Great video, just replaced my alternator yesterday, this made the process very simple. Only thing I would add would be remove the rf wheel/tire to make routing the serpentine belt
Great video bud, Denso alternators and starters are the only after market supplied ones I like to use
Thanks man I was just able to do this on a 2012 with minimal hassles !! Great tutorial !
Great video until you reached the part where the decision has to be made to either unhook A/C or pull shroud. I literally threw up in my mouth hahaha thanks great video very informative and not full of useless Info thanks again!!!
Haha I felt
Yeah, I definitely don't have an A/C evacuation device & I ain't gonna buy one either
I was thinking the same thing. If you have the equipment to evacuate your AC, are you seriously going to RUclips to learn how to take out your alternator!?? LOL
Did similar job on 06 acura tl. In my case removing the fan is the way to go. Takes less than 5min.
EXCELLENT VIDEO, ONE OF THESE I HAVE SEEN
This video is gold thank you ❤
Great video many thanks. Question, Can those alternators be repaired? Many thanks in advance
Nice Video! Great work! 💡👍🏻🧰
Thank you!
I changed the alternator successfully. I did remove the fan. I hooked all the connections back up. Jumped it to start. But then within 2mins the temperature garage drops and the car stalls out. Thoughts?
Not sure if that Honda has a factory radio code. So, I would recommend an OBD2 setting saver plug and battery. I would have pulled the fan(s)... But to each their own. Thank you for your usual great content.
TOP OF THE LINE MECHANIC IF WE WERE IN THE MILITARY I WANT THIS GUY IN MY TANK
Did you put that belt tensioner tool directly onto the pulley. I'm trying to replace the serpentine belt, put a 19mm on a spot that is on the bracket and it rounded out and I had to replace the whole tensioner. It looked like you put it right on the bolt that goes through the pulley and mounts into the block. Even with the new tensioner, im struggling to get the serpentine belt on. I'm about to light the car on fire.
Great video! Helped a lot! Curious though, what trim tool is that you have?
Thanks for the video! Will the pulley from this Denso 210-0774 fit/run in a 2010 Crosstour or would I need to go with the Denso 210-0645 model?
please send me a link for that tensioner extension tool
GreAt video thanks!
Thank you!
When I tried to take the tension off the belt, the 14mm bolt loosened. 😣
did you replace the timing belt at the same time?
great video
You should have watched the video

Tank you
Good video but no enough description how to remove timing belt. I am trying to do that i cant really see which bolt you hook it on to make it lose. I have an issue with it, because someone strip the bolt(lever) for it and i am looking for secondary options how to make it lose and i didn't see it on your video.
Myroslav Kuznyuk i’m putting that tensioner tool on the Bolt going through the pulley. Standard ratchet four-inch will work just as well.
Since home mechanics are probably watching this removing the AC is not very practical
Amazing video as always!
Thank you!
Wait why did you go through the trouble of touching the A/C system? Couldn't you just remove the radiator fans and it will pull out?
MrRangerZr1 Yes you can remove the fans. For me since I had a machine it’s a matter of pushing a button and taking off two screws.
Cuanto cuesta honda crossour 2015
What is the average life of alternator? 100k, 150k?
Most I see is around 100k
@@HowtoAutomotive .. I replaced my alternator in my 2010 crosstour about a year and 3 months ago and im having problems and it not charging my battery now my battery light is on and everything got dim last night and the car almost cut off so not I have to put another alternator in
@@hollywoodthedj1673 A lot of these alternators are remanufactured and not new. And it is a good possibility it went out again.
@@HowtoAutomotive .. yeah and it just happened to be the stores brand of alternator something made in China I got from bap geon here in VA so I took it out and took it back and ordered a denso alternator this time even if it’s a reman at least it will be done by denso
@@hollywoodthedj1673this is exactly what mine is doing. Did you just replace the alternator?
How much should I pay for someone to install
I had mine replaced a couple years ago and it was around $600. They did replace a couple of belts or something I thought it was a lot of money personally. I won’t do it again.
@@garbs310 .. $600 is way too much to replace an alternator
Damn, so you basically charged the customer to evac and recharge the ac system when you could have just taken the fan out....
The tensioner pully is definitely not a fucking 14 mm
Number 1!
Hey im in San Diego as well. La mesa
Nice. Nothing like SD!
