We wanted to cast a spotlight on the performing arts students at Halinda Special Needs School Mt Druitt. The students are given opportunities to shine through a variety of music programs across the week, including dance, signing choir, drumming, karaoke, Islander Dance and music for relaxation and therapy. Through music, we can see the amazing talents of the students as they learn and perform with the same expectations and standards of any of their peers. They have showcased their talents in eisteddfods, community performances, school concerts, Shining stars drama at NIDA, disability day concerts in the community and recently, several of our students have been selected for School spectacular.
