  • JLRRE Passing out Parade 23rd June 1984 was one of my proudest moments. After 12 months of military training as a Junior Leader in Knox Troop, 82 Squadron, Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Engineers (JLRRE) at Old Park Barracks (OPB) Dover I finally made it, my friends and family came to see me at my Passing out Parade.

Did my passout in Aug 72.. I never, ever lost that feeling of pride when marching with my mates, with the sound of the band banging out the time. Still get goosebumps watching it now... Doing the slow march through the ranks.. Trying not to mess up the younger lads best boots and failing miserably...

Hi Andy, I was there at the same time as you mate. June 83-84. Best days of my life. Seeing the video brought it all back. I was 2 troop 66 sqn. Went to Maidstone 36. I passed ACAD like you did. I did my course in 89, left army in 91 sadly. Been a fireman 21 years now. All the best mate, great video.
