You are so fortunate I was raised Catholic and an avid church goer. But, my father was not Catholic and my mom was an adult convert. I was the first real Catholic in my family I made my first communion at 8. I was confirmed at 16.
It's been hard to be obedient to my faith knowing that it's right while my mom just picked and chose some of the rules based on "feelings" we would disagree on these issues frequently. Much division was created in our family. It wasn't easy I knew the right thing to do.

I attend the most amazing FSSP parish ever. We've got the most amazing priests, parishioners, altar servers, and the church itself is divinely beautiful. Occasionally we see Fr Rippenger attend our Easter or Christmas Masses and sometimes even other big time trad people. I attended so many years of Catholic education in my life and I am learning so much more everyday at my parish through our priests, like I never even knew the faith before at all. The FSSP is very special and I very much appreciate everything they've done for my family and I. Their priests are forever etched into our hearts. Fr Rippenger has taught us all so very much. And I thank God everyday for Steve Cunningham for Sensus Fideleum for making so much information and wonderful sermons so readily available. I thank God for having known gentlemen like Jonathan Arrington who is a wealth of knowledge. And ladies like Jodi Lacroix who brought beauty to our beautiful church and are a wonderful testimony of keeping the TLM alive! I urge everyone to watch The Mass of the Ages documentaries. Those people in those videos are so real and genuine and rightly ordered to serve the Lord.

...that demons hate hearing the Latin language during exorcisms and how much a part our Lady plays in the process. Convicted after learning how demons behave, I immediately learned how to pray my Rosary in Latin last year because of Fr. Ripperger.
Many lessons for Latin can be learned on YT beginning with Dr. Taylor Marshall. Slowly it came to me and now it is 2nd nature. With such gratitude I am strengthened by all of your testimonies and by what is shared on all of your channels. Now I share that with others.

Fr Ripperger is the reason I red-pilled. I was attending the TLM but did not know anything about Traditional Catholicism, and the rest of the Trads at the TLM did not tell me as they assumed I already knew. I was side by side involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Thanks to Fr Ripperger, I found out the errors of the Charismatic Renewal (esp tongues and lay deliverance by strangers). Simultaneously, I took his advice on praying to Our Lady of Sorrows for revealing to me the problems with the Charismatic movement and I left the Renewal. I also red-pilled on the true Faith - Traditional Catholicism, the crisis in the Church, how badly catechised I was. Those days I was unemployed as my company had gone bankrupt, the pandemic had started, Masses had stopped. I had time on my hands, I watched hundreds of Traditional Catholic videos, a lot of them talks by Fr. Ripperger. Best time of my life! I thank God for Fr Ripperger, all the Traditional Catholics in social media (youtubers incl you Deena, spotify, etc).
He is a humble priest and also very good at explaining the Faith. I have greatly profited from all his videos. I learned how to pray (esp mental prayer) from him. I learned about the Virtues from him. Also about Our Lady of Sorrows from him. About how to be a woman from him. God bless him.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm glad you both got to go and thank you to the parish and priest who hosted you all and Father Ripperger. The notecard question format at the end was wonderful! I watched the full video, thank you for sharing where to find it. I love the part where this great priest talked about emotions and the culture is empowering the demons because people are more following emotions over reason is disordered. This is also why there are so many things being so called "normalized" in the culture. Do this, do that, excuse this evil thing, make this concession, etc.
What is the most important thing Fr. Ripperger has taught me? Many things I have learned from this wonderful priest- prayer, spiritual warfare, how to pray and keep things rightly ordered. It is him that my prayer life has greatly improved the last few years. I could go on for paragraphs and paragraphs about the things he has taught me by watching his videos. He is also helpful to my family as well! Thanks to you, I first learned about him several years ago when you first mentioned him. I am so happy that you shared about this great and holy priest! I am so happy to see wonderful comments below about him and how he helps others. The way he explains things is honest, upfront, truthful, and I love how you described his talks- so true!
It no longer comes as a surprise to me that with all that is going on, the culture and politicians don't like people over 18 staying within Christ's Catholic Church. This great and Holy Priest talked about it towards the end of the video in regard to the culture in general not wanting us to stay under the traditional family structure. So it should be no surprise to me personally that the level of attacks ramp up inside and outside the Church in this regard towards my family and I and others who live under this structure.

Many Catholic women are married to Catholic men who are not leaders in their homes and who don’t follow the teachings of the church. How are we supposed to let them lead and submit to them when they are not well formed and could actually lead us astray and they are not repentant?

    • @ACatholicWife
      @ACatholicWife  Год назад +3

@Geneive Cano I am so sorry to hear that this is your situation. What I can say is that we have a responsibility to protect ourselves and our children ESPECIALLY if our husbands are doing something that is against the teachings of Holy Mother Church.
Men who fail to serve their own families through a death to self is an abdication of their duty, a sin against their wife and children, and is *an offense before God*
Lord have mercy on every man who fails to lead his wife and children to God.
I encourage you to listen to the full talk that Fr. Ripperger gave (it is linked in my description box) - around minute 34 he talks about authority in the marriage and in this talk (not sure if it as this point or elsewhere in the talk) he talks about what is a wife to do if her husband is not leading (his example I believe was in reference to an alcoholic husband). I hope his advice is helpful to you.
My recommendation to you is PRAY & FAST for your husband. I would recommend a 54-day rosary novena w/ the intention of your husbands conversion of heart and that he would grasp the true meaning of being a worthy husband and father.
I would consider prayers to St. Joseph and St. Monica.
If at all possible, see if your husband would watch/listen to the talks Fr. Ripperger has done on marriage (especially his talks directed at Catholic men).
There is no easy fix. This is a heavy cross the LORD is allowing you to carry. Carry it well and offer up your suffering. That said, protect yourself and protect your children BUT don't think this means you are not called to submit to your husband when it is not something sinful or against a teaching of the Church.
This is a good video on submission:

This is a good video for your husband (even if he won't watch - it is important for you to watch)

I’m curious what’s on the list of unapproved topics at his talks. It would not surprise me to hear that the unapproved private revelations or so-called apparitions at Medjugorje and Garabandal are topics on that list due to political considerations. I’m a big fan of Father R and use his book “Deliverance Prayers [for the laity].” My local NO parish is so alarmingly infected with Medjugorje worship that it’s insufferable. One of the so-called visionaries spoke at the parish about 20 years ago and to this day the apparitions are widely promoted and accepted there by most people, despite the FACT that it’s not approved and not dogmatic to believe. It’s gotten so bad that it’s impossible to reason with these people including the pastor and simply focus on authentic traditional Catholicism, so we drive an hour to attend diocesan TLM. My guess is that Father R deals with this by not giving these topics much, if any, attention at his talks. The lust for private revelation by so many to fake apparition believers is creepy and stronger than their obligation to respect the rights of Catholics to reject such unapproved private revelations. Comments are welcome but don’t expect me to believe in any of the unapproved non-sense and please respect that iwe have a right (perhaps a duty) as a Catholic to reject and not seek unapproved private revelations.

    • @ACatholicWife

@Brian Burnett it is my understanding (as to
unapproved topics) no request was made to avoid discussing unapproved apparitions.
I personally am *wholly uninterested* in Medjugorje and find it to be a most problematic “apparition.”
His request of questions he wouldn’t answer had more do with the current situations happening within the Church (example TLM persecution).
My husband would be better able to answer your question as he was the one who received the email directly.
I’ll ask him to read your comment and reply to you.
      Have a great day 🙂

The list of topics they wanted us to stay away from included TLM vs N.O., any discussions involving controversial prelates, or Pope Francis’ restrictions on the TLM.
There was no prohibition against asking about Medjugorje or other apparitions (and I agree wholeheartedly with you on that!).
As an aside, I knew the whole Medjugorje thing was false when one of the women flinched while supposedly in a state of ecstasy and tried to explain it away saying she thought our Blessed Mother was going to drop the baby Jesus. Wow!
