Oh yes I needed this video my hair is DRY as a Arizona summer! & I live in Arizona lol!!
Queen Toshe lol
I finally got my twist out method down after almost 5 years. I discovered it works better on dry hair and I have to do 9 chunky ones instead of 20 small ones. Love your technique!
On dry hair I do less twists.
Kayla Shante same my hair always falls flat with smaller twists. 8-9 twists gets the job done now.
ababbajj
Yay! Go US!
Kayla Shante same! Next wash day I want to try on a day old dry wash n go.
Michelle Rodgers Yes! It is the best on old wash n go's! :)
I prefer the LCO method. The LOC never worked for me, and I kept trying but I realized that sealing with an oil worked so much better, and it seems to work really good for LP hair too. I haven't done a twist out in a long time, but I found all my styles works on mostly dry but also a little damp hair and in medium to small sections.
I feel the same about the LCO method, works so much better.
I feel the same about the LCO method, works so much better.
can we get something for 4c hair
Your hair looks so healthy!😍😍😍
low porosity- use lco, high porosity-use loc...great result.
Ok I know you said oil locks in moisture, BUT you have to make sure it is a moisturizing oil and not a sealant oil. Moisturizing oils: coconut and olive oil and sealant oils would be like avocado oil or Jamaican black castor oil.
But isn't avocado oil moisturizing? That's what I read when I did my research on oils....hmmm
You're right
Chanel Valentine is grape seed oil sealing or moisturizer
LOC method all the way. I am low porosity and I had been using the LCO method for a long time. But I tried the LOC method and my hair felt super moisturized and my curls were popping!!!!
What a coincidence, I used the LCO method this morning without realizing it and I noticed a difference. I spray my braids with water, then applied olive oil cream, then tea tree oil before I did the inversion method. My hair was noticeably softer+more moisturized. And we literally have identical hair, the color, pattern and everything! Big help, thanks for the cnfirmation!-New subbie:D
I just tried this LOC method and it really works! Noticed a difference minutes after I did it! I'm 4a and my hair loves it 🤗
My hair loves the LCO as well
Nothing I do keeps my hair moisturizer for more than 30 minutes 😩
I feel you
hi maybe you have low porosity hair , try the leave in organ oil cantu
House of farts once I start deep conditioning twice a week and shampooing my hair clean and not depending on co washing a lot I noticed a big difference
My hair was the same until I recently learned my hair is low porosity. With my new regimen my hair stays moisture!! It's like a new head! Lol
Betty Mathurin what do you do????
looks good, I prefer the l.o.c method
For the C part can you use a leave in conditioner so it’s L- liquid (water )
C - leave in
O - oil
Thanks for listing the other methods at 0:59 LOCO (Liquid, Oil, Cream, Oil) & LCOG (Liquid, Cream, Oil, Gel). When I start back styling my hair in two strand twists I will use LOCO. As of now I do wash n go's and include gel as my styler. I tried the LCOG method a couple days ago and I have nice second day hair. Thank you so much for your tips. It's working out well for my low porosity hair ❤️🙏🏿👩🏿
Been using the LCO method since my relaxed days and as a new natural my hair still loves it 😌
The "oh my god" had me lol
I recently stopped doing loc and switched to lco and I find that my hair has been staying moisturized a lot longer 🙌🏾
Love that you kept the video so simple. So appreciated. Thanks for sharing! Will be using the LCO method going forward.
I use the LOC method using water as my liquid and whipped Shea butter as my cream and my hair loves it
I prefer the LCO method. Since experts say oil can penetrate cream and water. But not the other way around. Hence the saying, "like oil and water".
Great video! Personally, I have to use one product that is capable of moisturizing my hair alone. The LOC, LCO, etc has never worked for me. 😕 My hair would be dry after 5 mins. To moisturize my hair, I apply the Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream to my hair and that's it. My hair is moisturized for days. Any other method or product has resulted in dry hair in seconds.
i must have watched your hair videos a 100 times. i just big chopped. Cant wait for new hair videos! trying to learn abt my new hair. i love your hair... no lie +journeytowaistlength
LCOall the way honey. why would anyone do that LOC how can the moisture in the cream penetrate the oil...
Miss WOG Daily it’s more about creating barriers! There’s a great video about it by GreenBeauty comparing the two :)
Porosity plays a part in it
just started my hair journey. i will definitely be using the lco method first to see what my hair likes.
P.S I See You Queen
I just tried it and I can see a small difference which is great thanks!
I love the LCO method! I just start trying incorporating gels on wash days only and do a LCGO method but I never thought to name it that lol. Love your channel! 🤗💕
Love that brush, most soothing thing ever!
I do the LCOG method and my hair loves it!
I watched all your videos for the first time yesterday I was up until 5am I love your hair and hair ideas
Wow thats alot of videos! Hope you enjoyed them
Do you still do the inversion method?
I love me some juicy twist!!!
your hair is my goals!! so beautiful and thick!! imma go ahead and stalk your channel now! :)
Thanks for showing the steps!
I went from using LCO to LOC and I like LOC more. I think my hair ranges 3c to 4b? Never enough moistureeee thank gods for water spray bottles (I mix Cedar wood essential oil in for dandruff).
love that beat in the background..
Your hair looks so healthy!
Yes that bounce and that definition!!! Beautiful
😍😍😍 your hair
Wow I 💜💜💜 ur twist I 💜💜 Ur hair and thank for this info. Am a new bae in this natural hair world. Am gonna try both LOC and LCO method and see which works well with my 4C Hp hair. Thanx
Love it ! I'm starting my journey as well I just subscribed to your channel can't wait to see more
I tried to do my 1st twist out yesterday/today. I twisted my hair last night, following all of the steps from another video I found. I took the twists down, using the same method as you used (oil on hands, gentle, etc). It was a massive fail! I felt so good about it last night, thinking that it would be really good! I was so excited! Then, this morning, I unraveled the twists and it looked like a hot, flaming mess. 😳 I was so disappointed.
Ashley Bates were your twists fully dry?
Yes. They were dry. Maybe I just didn't do it right? It was my first time trying. My hair is at an awkward length and I was not sure if It was long enough to twist.
After transitioning my first twist out didn't turn out that hot either. I realized later I made the twists too big and they weren't dry when I took them down.
Ashley Bates you could try doing flat twists. when my hair was at an awkward length i did flat twits and my hair came out good
thanks for the advice! i may try that! 😄
YASS, you look radiant!
Her hair looks exactly like mine. Texture, look, length
I have natural 4c hair and I didn't know about the LOC or the LCO method, my hair is always dry, I feel so stupid to find this out now, i really live under a rock
Do you find your hair to have a lot of single strand knots because of twist outs and wash and go's? And if not what do you think 💭 can prevent them?
Try using the blow dry tension method after lco
Another thing to try on my hair
I agree with the LCO method also 👍🏾
Do you get single strand knots as a natural? If so, what can you do to prevent them? I wear a lot of wash and goes and they are my nightmare. Lol
What is your hair type? You hair type look close to mine. I really need a regimen for my hair because my natural could be so fustrating at times. Dealing with dryness and it is the type that can get very tangled like if it wants to locs, make you feel like quitting. This clip is very informative. Thanks
Thank you. You're gorgeous; it reminds me of my niece. Blessings. ❤🙏
Wow, thank you
love your tips, im transitioning to natural..
Have you/ will you try the Cherry Lola treatment again? I tried it last month and my curls were super defined!
I find that the LCO method works my hair as well :)
we have the exact same texture hair and this video( so far cuz im still watching)is giving me hope not to relax it lol.
i have just started going natural and im 6/7 months transitioning , do you have any tips?
Moisture, low manipulation, maintenance, and patience are key for a successful transition. Dry hair leads to hair breaking off and it does feel good, making it hard to style hair. Deep conditioning and clarifying your hair often feels good and gives your hair a clean slate. And protective styling is a great way to retain length, keeping your hands out of your hair but make sure you're always moisturizing you hair NO MATTER WHAT.
+deleted delee *does not
thanks for the tips, sorry for the late reply btw but i will definitely incorporate this into my daily lifestyle :D
The LCO method works best for me
If u wanted a more defined twist out, you would just use gel instead of oil, correct?
Yes
Thank you 😊
JourneyTo WaistLength Is ecostyler gel a good gel to use?
You can also use TGIN twist and define I love that too
+Anastasia K Eco Styler is actually not a good gel even though it gets a lot of hype
I love your videos ❤❤
I have to figure out which method works for me. I think the Lco would be best.
it's so beautiful!
When you were done with your twists I realized you look a lot like Gabe flowers from Gabebabetv lol
yes, I always did say that
iistardustpanda
You have beautiful hair. I thank you for sharing.
Sorry. I didn't see the link to the massage brush in the description box. May you post it again please?
Hi i just updated the description box
i love your channel you have very similar hair to mine. i have been wearing wash and gos for probably two weeks straight now. it had been soft and super coily. last night i used your technique for blowing out hair with low heat and stretching only. i thendid a bantu knot out . last night my hair was well moisturized and sealed. i have found in the past that my issue is that the next day my hair will not be as moisturized, but will still have which ever oil i used to seal. so it ends up dry and brittle, but the grease is still there. how do i re moisturize? or what am I doing wrong?
Hi, i'm from Canada as well and 1) i was wondering if you paid custom taxes at the delivery of the vanity planet products and 2)what's the difference between the SCALP INVIGORATOR and the SCALP MASSAGE SHAMPOO BRUSH. thx
Great turn out!
How often do you moisturize your hair before your next wash?
So I confused to how much I have to do loc method... everyday? if I do it at night do I have to do it in the morning? etc.
Great vid. Had to share!
Great video. Thanks
When you say "See which method your hair likes", what do you mean? I mean I get what you're saying but how do you know if your hair likes it or not.
I find that I absolutely need gel for my wash n go and twists. When should I apply, and do you use gel?
Do a video on how to grow yo RUclips channel and how u edit
Do you LCO everyday or just on wash days? If not what do you do on a daily basis ?
How often should I do this? weekly or daily or every other day?
what kind of oil do u use love your hair💝
how often do you moisturize and seal in between washes?
Jay Jay I use the LOC method every night and it seems to work for me. I also do not use heat on my hair and after washing I use a cotton pillow case to dab my hair about 80% dry. I wash my hair every 10 days alternating with a Protein Deep Condition and an Olive Oil Deep Conditioner. I've been natural since March 2015 and will never relax my hair again. It seems like lot of hard work, but the result has definitely been worth it. Good Luck. ☺️
girl I wash my hair once every week...and only moisturize on that same wash day. I don't do anything to it at all until the next wash day. I was just wondering if I needed to moisturize and seal in between. I have 4c type hair.
Omg our hair is so similar
U only kept the Senegalese twists in for 1 week?
Oops nevermind. I scrolled down😂😂💜
Do you do the LCO method every day? Or once a week?
very pretty ❤
Hi, where do you get the cream of nature products in the GTA
What oil did you use?
how do you keep your look the day after a wash/twist out
Lovely you do this every night? my hair is 4c and would like to know if this work for me also.
+Amada Bernard a few times a week
I'm going to give this a go...! I will let you know how it goes. Thank you :0)
Could you use gel instead of oil ?
Can Shea Butter be used as the cream or oil?
love it
Please explain what LOC LCO means
are you using the Grapeseed oil from the grocery stores cooking aisle?? or Grapeseed oil from the health/beauty/lotion aisles?? thank you😍
i use both. They work the same
thank youuu! I've been trying the one next to the body lotions lol. but you have more hair than I do...and I can't wait to get to your length 😄😄
Does detangler count as a liquid?
if your moisturizer is oil based do u still follow up with oil??
can i just do leave in and oil because leave in is cream and liquid
Was this video made before or after those Senegalese Twist? I am asking BC some YTubers hv pre recorded videos. Thanks!
Before
+JourneyTo WaistLength do u apply the liquid, cream or oil to your scalp or just the hair itself?
Can someone name for me some creams? I get the L and O of the LCO but not the cream part. Thx
how often should I use the L.O.C method after my wash day ?
Depends on how often your hair gets dry. You can try 3x a wek
Hi. It seems like you had a hair cut recently. Did you?
So does this mean I don't have to cut my ends off
Try LOC if you have high porosity and LCO for low
That’s what I did
@@ShaniqueBuntyn I was saying it in general to people in the comments, sorry.
When does the Shea butter mix come in? Can I substitute it for the "C" in the LCO method?
I think shea butter it's the o because it seals in moisture at the end
Shea Butter is the C love!!
Tracy-Ann Smith Its cream
what's the L
It can be water or leave in conditioner.
