I remember watching the NBA finals couple years ago and the half time show was literally who would be a better coach for the Lakers. I was like WTF. The NBA and media continue to push Lakers and LeBron down our throat.
Reasons NBA Failing 1. Players are entitled - Up until Kobe, Duncan actually the lebron generation seem to think it is their right to play. Money is all that matters....Lebron, Embid. Players like Westbrook and Curry still seem to realize they are here to ball. - e.g. players wanting more money to play in all star game? 2. Players disconnected with fans and city - Players should always keep in mind that they play for the fans...its entertainment. 3. No genuine rivalry - NFL and Football(Soccer) is built on intense rivals that the players themselves understand 4. No more dynamic duos - 2 stars or superstars per team 5. No loyalty to the team/city - duos or stars would stay on a team for a long time - it would be their city. deep rooted connection with fans. this makes moving to rivals unthinkable. e.g. Durant, Lerbon, Kawai, Harden, AD, Westbrook constantly moving. For a league to have 6 superstars in the prime of their careers constantly moving from franchise to franchise shows that something is wrong with the league. If a superstar or star spends 10 years in a city and is on the decline and moves to another franchise that is understood 6. Style of play - Physicality lacking....very very soft Three point shooting - - - I cannot fully blame Curry. He is a generational player. And weaponized his skill. But yes players are looking and settling for only 3s. Not even Steph does this. When I watch him play he does much more than settle for 3s. He drives, dishes dimes. So the one dimensional nature of the game is also a factor.
As a soccer fan I feel like u guys are just way too nice with the basketball players I saw a lady run around trying to get a pillow for AD to sit on 😂I was like wtf and u got a bodyguard running around the soccer pitch for Messi 😂like why where the heck they do that at and the worst is load management
Thats what is sad you no longer see the love of the game like Byrd, Magic, Jordan and Kobe etc. they LOVED the sport! They loved competition! All of that is gone now..whats left is greed
Hard to disagree with any of your points here. I was a huge NBA fan growing up as a kid in LA in the 80s and 90s I had good reasons to be as well with those great Lakers teams. The rivalries and personalities of that era were fierce and epic. To me the flow has been altered so much due to ‘load management’, the over emphasis on stats (3 point volume) and almost non-existent defense. It’s simply become boring to watch. Given the rich history and tradition I hope it can be fixed. I want to have genuine rivalries and loyalty but as you said it’s hard to engage with the modern NBA when almost all the modern players act as mercenaries to be paid by the highest bidder and demonstrate no city / team loyalty. When I think back you nailed it spot on - Boston was Bird, LA was Magic, Chicago was Jordan, Detroit was Thomas, Utah was Stockton/Malone and their surrounding cast mates were mostly stable. It made for bitter intra-city rivalries which were unbelievably exciting.
@@dfoleyusaI could not have stated it better bruv! Modern NBA is full of Mercs for hire basically. Like hiring contractors who want to stat stack and stack greenbacks $$$. Those players and the rivalries you/ I spoke on were like a "Soap Opera" type story (yes I know that sounds cheesy lol but its true it got dangerous sometimes) A rivalry that went hard! Players having to be sent out the back because of the opposing fans going ape shite. Brawling on the court in Detroit I mean it was gladiator time. I can only imagine how it was growing up in LA at that time bruv! I bet that was crazy! I grew up same but in NC which is more College Balling.
@@LionKing-hs3hgyep, and the refs calling fouls for staring or showing passion. America is bent on destroying masculinity so that they are allowing for this to happen. Rivalries begin when players are at each other's face, in turn that shows to the fans that the player is committed to the cause.

For me, it was the league getting too political virtue signaling, ( LeBron, Steve Kerr woke shit ect.) then it was every team shooting 300 threes a game. I can't make it through a game, so stopped following.
I’m sorry but none of this has to do with the downfall of the league. The truth of the matter is that the overall toxic culture in the NBA from the league, teams, man-boy players, politics, refs, commissioner, former players, fans, media, it’s toxic and immature. It’s not a man’s sport anymore. I don’t sense any maturity or accountability. And did I mention the politics, oh dear God. Anyway, the NBA is destined to fold, it’s a matter of time. I give it 7 years.
Yep. It's also "stop hate" when you have loooooooosers like the queen going on rants about the police and white people. It's teams like la la land paying money for nepotism. It's also lack of ability to watch any team play. It's favoritism to specific teams. NBA is the joke of sports.

Defence has changed as well, I.e. when a player in the 90s and 00s drive to the hoop, a defensive player comes to help, there’s a collapse of the D. In today’s game, there’s none of that! It’s just an open lane to the hoop!
See u nggas don’t know basketball at all. First of all the reason why that is is because everybody can shoot. You could do that in the 90s cuz nggas couldn’t shoot that good outside the 3 😹.So u can’t collapse unless u want to leave another guy open. Second of all they do collapse you idiot u just don’t pay attention
The sad truth is that the NBA could have zero viewers and they will still be profitable because gambling revenue has taken over and doesnt require viewership.
The NBA is killing itself with endless threes, whistle happy refs, and pricing fans out of the game. Adam Silver’s leadership is all about profit, not the love of basketball. Maybe it’s time for players, not suits, to run the league...
The officiating ,bad calls, cheating rules it ruins the spontaineity of the game, they obviously rig for someone. theyh need to change the face of the league,it has become scripted and a reality show! just stop catering for labron! So why play sport if theres no resitance, the beauty of defense to allow creativity going to the hoop theres strategies move you can do,if your just shooting 3's then it becomes a routine it becomes predictable, mjority dont wana watch that shit!
Woke? First sign of either a closet racist or a brother that is fighting against his own cause. Black people voting, if the word woke was used back before black people were able to vote, would have been used to describe it as being "woke" by racist. Which are you? And why do you think the NBA is "woke"?
Why didn’t NFL ratings tank after Colin Kaepernick kneeled during the national anthem? Do you think that conservative NBA fans would really completely stop watching the sport after Greg Popovich said negative things towards Trump? The problem goes deeper than this.
This is the most ignorant comment on RUclips right now. People who say this don't know anything about basketball or the NBA smh. I played high level and the reason has to do with the game because I'm not even watching. Only people who are committed to looking at everything through socio-political lenses would say this.
All the white fans who had to stomach LeBron and BLM plastered on the jerseys, not to mention the kneeling to protest the George Floyd falsehood. That did it for me as a proud patriot and mex-American.
These NBA players literally live in mansions, have multiple luxury cars and wearing watches more than most people annual salary. These players are literally the least oppressed people in the world and then calling the majority of their fan base their wicked oppressors. They demanded their fanbase to believe in their crazy ideas and to take a knee. It is super insulting especially if the fans are working hard with low income. Now these players are faking injuries and litterally said they're not playing back to back. They making millions of dollars and dont even want to do their job. It shows how much these players dont like basketball and it is contagious. If the players dont like basketball, why should the fans. This why views are down. These players are the most unlikable and unrelatable people ever.
You guys are just expressing hot garbage. This video isn’t well researched either because the NBA in general averages more viewers per game than any other sport outside of the NFL. Anthony Brian Logan has the best video explaining the state of the NBA. He talks about all the points made in this video, as well as one of the elephants that this video ignores: the politics.
@@henryt9281Anthony Brian Logan is an idiot and so are you. The NBA has the second highest ratings behind the NFL and has a market share of over $168 billion dollars in merchandise sales. They cater to the market that pays their bills and it’s certainly not you or anyone like you. And this video is hot garbage 🗑️
Things that the NBA needs to fix: 1> The Gather step. Repeal it. Its called Travelling. Call it. 2> Bring back Carrying the ball. as a violation Its been gone since Iverson started playing. 3> Establish the pivot foot. Yes,a stepthrough is Travelling. 4> Stop calling Ticky Tack fouls. But all you fans are sheep and will continue buying, hats, jackets, cards, going to games and idolizing this athletes. You fans make me sick.
It's bad because defense is not rewarded because of the refs. Look at what James Harden got away with until they figured it out. The refs are a huge problem so players are going to take advantage of that and also, will have to play around that by being less aggressive. And yes, I do believe some of these refs are gambling because of these horrible calls.
It's not, "the refs". They get their orders from the league office on what to call and not call. If the NBA wanted games to be officiated better, they could take actual steps to do that, they don't.
The NBA hasn’t alienated anyone, especially those who never watched a game anyway but want everything catered to them because they feel they are the MAJORITY but they’re not lol 😂
@@gregd4633 When the league started embracing progressive causes supported by players, I stopped watching. I do not watch games to be lectured by a bunch of hypocrites.
@@manny1up The league always been progressive, it’s just your excuse for not watching something you never watched anyway. And the league has the second highest ratings after the NFL and all teams have an average attendance percentage of 81.4% percent. That’s why this video geared towards people who wish the league would fold over because it doesn’t cater to their narrative, even though nothing has been proven correct and no research has been conducted. The fact remains that the NBA, NFL and NCAA sports is stronger than ever before and it’s nothing more people like yourself can do about it. All this video has shown is a slight glimmer of hope that doesn’t exist 😉
A hot take here: The NBA just signed a $75 billion dollar TV deal. They are saved. The ratings are down yes, but that's the problem of the TV networks.
That’s great for the players that will continue taking in bullshit money, but meanwhile ratings and viewership will steadily drop until something changes. This will only get worse as our media consumption options increase. If things stay like this no one will be watching the NBA in 10 years. So ya that might be “fine” in terms of profits, but who really gives a shit when the sport has been destroyed lmao
Players are better offensively this days and nobody plays defense. This FOOL said this in one sentence. These players aren’t better than the past players. These guys are terrible
The NBA is dying because the league thinks that the Lakers are the Harlem globetrotters and every other team is the Washington Generals, last year the lakers shot 1000 more freethrows than any other team, people are getting tired of all the league and all it's laker licking.
No one talks about how Chicago can't watch the Bulls no streaming or cable are picking up the games it's insanity to not have one of your largest markets just blacked out.
Bad refs, refs playing favorites, zero defense, flopping, traveling, constant 3s, entitled players, load management, virtue signaling, stars team hop, games aired all over the place.. I quit watching in 2020

Hope you get what I'm trying to say, don't be mad at me please
Curry is a PURE shooter I don’t see a problem with him shooting 3’s but when you got Embrittle, Wemby, and players that have ZERO business shooting 3 that’s the issue
Overpaid players, no loyalty, to many money grabs, difficult to watch games, terrible refs, horrible foul calls, zero defense is allowed, techs given for ANY kind of drama (fans want the drama), no more rivalries, stupid rules, too soft, star players jump ship to much and players just don't want to play it seems. This pretty much sums it up. Basketball isn't Basketball no more. The best more recent basketball was the Lebron vs Curry Warriors and Cavs rivalry. Since then, it's just not as good and only is getting worse. Instead of adding tournaments and such, how about fix the things that need fixing 1st and then do all that extra stuff.
They need more DRAMA, LET THEM PLAY, tough inside play, let them celebrate dunks and show more emotion without getting a technical foul, let their personalities show!! Move back the 3 point line, lower the amount of fouls called, speed up the free throw timer, make load management completely against the rules unless you have a verified medical issue. Make the games more available to watch on streaming. There are so many obvious ways to improve the product. If they really wanted to go wild, have a 4 point spot way deep at the logo, but it only shows up for a couple minutes each quarter. Have dunks count as 3 points, more incentive to drive to the hoop and DUNK.
Wow, I did NOT know about what Matt Ishbia was doing in Phoenix for the local market with the free antennas. Viewership would definitely go back up if this was across ALL of the NBA markets since the games would be a lot more accessible
The problem is not the players or gameplay, it’s the schedule and the pricing to watch. The NFL own sundays and people look forward to their favorite team to play. In the nba it’s a lot of games and random days. They should adopt what they did for Christmas when we have several game back to back on a Wednesday but move it to a Saturday. On Saturday we set time aside to watch several games and more viewers.
Doesn’t change the reality that the players will still choose to sit out, shoot threes, flop, shoot threes, bitch about not getting a foul then not getting back on d, shoot more threes. So yeah the main problem is the players. But you can point to many other factors that help with its downfall. Refs, silver, league pass, cost etc
I’m a Lakers fan with NBA League Pass and there is still about 1-2 games per month that are still blacked out. It’s ridiculous. I’m a paying fan that no longer lives in SoCal and I can’t watch every game despite paying for everything I can.
Hey Spex, subscriber from the Philippines 🇵🇭. I have to disagree with the three point line being adjusted to the bench corner. That will just incentivize the players to shoot even further which could split the defense if the passing option is used. Creating even more boring offense especially when the refs are calling so many fouls that prevent the defense from working well. Adam Silver should retire and give the reins to Mark Tatum. Whatever he will be is just going to be based on hope. He will not deviate that much but I want to believe that he will take suggestions and improvements to the game from reformists like Mat Ishbia on making the game cheaper to watch. My preference is that the NBA court be shrinked into a FIBA sized basketball court. Then shrink the three point line on the curve length. Keep the corner the way it is. This incentivizes players to shoot threes nearer the shortened line because they think that the ball is more likely to go in. Instead, the defense is even more organized and can block a nearer three point shot. That way, it wouldn't take Wemby to be the only one to block threes. Other players can do that more easily and get the fastbreak. It makes the game far more entertaining. They should also get rid of the defensive three second violation. That just makes boring offense make buckets. Also, obviously the refs should call less fouls. Maybe change the rulebook on what constitutes a foul. Fire refs who constantly violate the new rulebook. Removing the defensive three second violation also means better defense. Making the game better and more entertaining to watch.
The NBA got less and less interesting since Kobe retired. There’s no one else who can match what he did, skill wise. Players don’t want to play all 82 games anymore and just want to load manage while making millions.
Another thing is that these players believe they are "more talented" while disrespecting previous generations. The question is that they score a lot because the rules let them. Freedom of movement, no handcheck, no additional action (cannot be expressive), hanging on the rim gets a tech (regardless of intent) makes it a shootout league where your best offense is better offense. No challenging, no competition.
To me, the easy money system the NBA has developed is the trigger for the rest of the issues. I don't think it will recover until the whole system starts losing big money.
Refs protecting Wemby is a disaster that’s only just beginning. The league needs him to be the face and can’t have him get hurt. The NBA is a disgrace to the game once loved.
Imagine it's 2007 and you're about to go to school....lmao, I know who the creator is catering to here. I was a grown man, out of college and starting my first job in 2007, not some kid in pre-school.
Good breakdown my friend! I think we are all kind of looking for specifics or minutiae that are responsible for the game's decline when, to me, it's more the fact that the game is simply in decline culturally because, like individuals, families, institutions, and civilizations- they all have their birth, growth, peak, decline, and death stages to them. The game has been played-out and has oversaturated the American public for decades now. It's a "been-there, seen-that" mentality! The freshness, novelty, and intrigue are gone! No amount of "tweaking" or gimmicky rule changes will alter that. In many ways, it's the people who have outgrown the game and, that's not going to change! I myself use to be a diehard who had HUNDREDS OF GAMES on tape from 1984-2005. I would watch obsessively for years, whereas now, if I miss games- it's no big deal. I still mildly pay attention and watch more during the playoffs but, the game is secondary in my life now and, I think that applies to countless other people as well.
I'm not surprised about the precipitous drop in television ratings. The problem with the NBA is its culture, and leading the forefront of it is: Money! With the league being at an all-time high economically, professional basketball is reaping the benefits, while sacrificing its integrity. The past couple of its Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), along with corporate sponsorships through its television contracts, has given the players enough bargaining power to demand not only guarantee money and incentives, but to get out of the deal if they chooses. That within itself is one of the biggest reasons why its players are spoiled brats, because there is no entitlement. I could go on and on!
One reason teams took fewer 3's back in the day was the physicality on the perimeter and no protections for the shooter. If you were going to shoot in someone's face, they'd undercut you and higher probability you would be rolling your ankle. A guy like Steph Curry wouldn't have lasted with those glass ankles being defended as tough as those guys used to get
I agree with everything except the cable argument. After you’ve been with them for a year or 2 they raise the prices significantly. Specifically direct and dish. After you’ve get all sport channel packages it raises the price. I have 3 receivers so you have to pay the equipment fee they charge to. So it’s like 140-150 a month.
The irony is that fans and retired players shit talk Tom Thibs style of actually playing his best players a ton of minutes while demanding their engagement on defense. More ironically the NY Knicks are now the most fun team in the league to watch due to this mindset and collection of high end talent that plays hard every night.
Its wild too because from my prospective LeFlop....I mean Lebron, is up there with some of the most disliked players currently. I could careless about what him and his son are up too. However, they just continue to force him in front of our faces. There's so many stars and stories they could be covering but they just dont. Giannis is amazing and his game has taken even another leap. Instead they talk about LeBron taking a nap or his son playing in a G league game..yeah its a joke. We need more likable stars promoted better. People don't want to spend time and energy cheering for these arrogant cry babies that make Millions upon millions just to shoot three pointers all game and flop around. Flopping is not part of the game, its cheating. Period.
It's easy to shoot 3s when you are not tired because you don't play defense and nobody is playing defense on you. Bring back all the rules pre 1997. There. I fixed it for you.
The marketing in the NBA is terrible. They have no one but themselves to blame. I don’t know if they’re being or the NFL is just different, the same Stephen A Smith was asked on First Take last week, “Do you want to see a Chiefs 3-peat or the Lions/Bills won the SB?” He said I hope the city of Detroit can bring home their first Super Bowl because all the suffering they’ve been through; and he also talk the Bills redemption since the 90s. Imagine the NBA version of this question….he probably wishes the Lakers/Warriors/Knicks win every year, but in the NFL, no one is promoting the Rams/Chargers even though they have superstars. Rivalries can be generated, the only one NBA knows is Steph vs LeBron
Why are ratings down? People hate change. Sports, like other things, evolve. Baseball and Basketball have both changed. Football and hockey will also change. Just adapt and enjoy it.
I want to say my reasons why NBA is trash nowadays: 1)Referees suck 2)Advertising being shoved down our throats so much 3)No defense or physicality; also the flopping 4)3 pointers/memechucking 5)Load management/lack of effort 6)Delusional players completely out of touch with reality 7)The players running the league 8)Adam Silver being a spineless coward 9)Woke-ism 10)Too many channels to try to find your team play
This started when the NBA decided to be political and chose a side. When NBA people started kneeling during the start of 2020’s fans that wanted to watch sports to get a break from real life voted with their remote controls.
Why not adopt fiba rules, I remember watching it and seeing some of the nbas “stars” look real mid in fiba rule setting. My homie said we’re watching real basketball when they play in the Olympics
Uhhh... actually it does. The rating have dropped over 50% and that means that the people paying for marketing dollars, are not reaching their audience. Which means there will be a correction at some point in the near future.

There are many reasons why fans have been losing interest in the NBA, but we can take comfort in the fact that the Celtics are the current champions. In fact, the BOSTON CELTICS have won 18 NBA Championships, while the LOS ANGELES LAKERS have won only 12 NBA Championships (1972, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010, 2020*).* Covid Bubble Year
I kinda disagree with some of your points personally. You say things like "did you know the okc thunder were in first place in the west, did you know the cavs were 26-4?" Yes I did. I did know this already. I don't rely on lame talking heads to tell me whats happening in the NBA. Casuals however do rely on that. And thats part of the problem. (There are many problems but thats one of them) Too much catering to casuals, thats what made the nba legislate defense out of the game, which is a another problem. Casuals are just that, CASUAL. Meaning they don't watch consistently enough to stabilize ratings. However non casuals are losing interest because the things that made them love the game and watch on a daily or weekly basis are going away or already gone. There are other problems, but to me this is one of the biggest.
Its analytics, media and politics. Those are the reasons NBA isn't worth watching a full game today. Gameplays all revolve around 3pointers, refs whistle blowing so easily, and media talk too much about mj vs lebron rather than nba today
Just be more lenient on defense, allow a little bit of physical contact and hand checking. If that happens, coaches will be forced to formulate excellent plays so the players can escape the lockout and traps. As well as skilled players will be able to utilize all skillset on making a play. And those 3's and flops will greatly diminish.
The 80s, 90s and 00s were the greatest basketball 🏀 I’ve ever seen, having watched the NBA since 1975. The 10s and 20s are the worst. It’s not even basketball anymore. It looks like an exhibition game. No defense, 40 3 attempts.

The Jordan era built the NBA into something great. The LeBron era destroyed the league.
Adam Silver is the worst commissioner in the history of all SPORTS!
Agree, and by far.
I remember watching the NBA finals couple years ago and the half time show was literally who would be a better coach for the Lakers. I was like WTF. The NBA and media continue to push Lakers and LeBron down our throat.
Reasons NBA Failing
3. No genuine rivalry - NFL and Football(Soccer) is built on intense rivals that the players themselves understand
4. No more dynamic duos - 2 stars or superstars per team
5. If a superstar or star spends 10 years in a city and is on the decline and moves to another franchise that is understood
6. Style of play -
Physicality lacking....very very soft
Three point shooting - - - I cannot fully blame Curry.

Why don't you just watch games without lebron?

For me, it was the league getting too political virtue signaling, ( LeBron, Steve Kerr woke shit ect.) then it was every team shooting 300 threes a game. I can't make it through a game, so stopped following.
They lost half their audience because of politics and I promise the NBA that those people are never coming back. I hope it was worth it.
@cotati76 after the Milwaukee Bucks stood up for the thug woman beater I was on the way out, maybe checking in on the playoffs, now I'm done forsure.

@cotati76 Says alot that caucasians want us black folks to go back to sleep & not be aware of the system around us.
U no idea what they'll do to keep it going
Yep. It's also "stop hate" when you have loooooooosers like the queen going on rants about the police and white people. It's teams like la la land paying money for nepotism. It's also lack of ability to watch any team play. It's favoritism to specific teams.

They still DRAGGING LEFLOP’S LONG BORING CAREER with the LONGEVITY CRAP😂😫
Defence has changed as well, I.e. when a player in the 90s and 00s drive to the hoop, a defensive player comes to help, there’s a collapse of the D. In today’s game, there’s none of that! It’s just an open lane to the hoop!
See u nggas don’t know basketball at all. First of all the reason why that is is because everybody can shoot. You could do that in the 90s cuz nggas couldn’t shoot that good outside the 3 😹.So u can’t collapse unless u want to leave another guy open. Second of all they do collapse you idiot u just don’t pay attention
Well if you do a hard double on a drive now you’re going to leave open a player who will shoot the 3
The sad truth is that the NBA could have zero viewers and they will still be profitable because gambling revenue has taken over and doesnt require viewership.
The NBA is killing itself with endless threes, whistle happy refs, and pricing fans out of the game. Adam Silver’s leadership is all about profit, not the love of basketball. Maybe it’s time for players, not suits, to run the league...
They never call traveling or double dribble though.
Sounds like trying to make the most profit is not always the best way to make a great product….
The officiating ,bad calls, cheating rules it ruins the spontaineity of the game, they obviously rig for someone. theyh need to change the face of the league,it has become scripted and a reality show! just stop catering for labron! Black people voting, if the word woke was used back before black people were able to vote, would have been used to describe it as being "woke" by racist.
Which are you? And why do you think the NBA is "woke"?
Exactly. Everyone is avoiding the real issue here - they turned Trump fans completely off and that's more than half of the country
I've said for a while now the BLM bubble sure didn't help much.
You guys are just expressing hot garbage. This video isn’t well researched either because the NBA in general averages more viewers per game than any other sport outside of the NFL. They cater to the market that pays their bills and it’s certainly not you or anyone like you. And this video is hot garbage 🗑️
Every time a player makes a 3. They feel like they just did a 360 windmill dunk
Zero defense, zero skill, no inside game and too many three...
GTFH nobody missed your viewership anyway and your opinion doesn’t matter either 🤣
That the thing I truly hate basketball. The refs have too much power. These technicals can be literally can on anything now too.
When you alienate half of your fanbase due to progressive politics, the league will suffer a traumatic drop
The NBA hasn’t alienated anyone, especially those who never watched a game anyway but want everything catered to them because they feel they are the MAJORITY but they’re not lol 😂

I blame it to the ref also. Because of their bias call for foul. That's why all the player don't want to play defense under the rim
Super team, 3 pointers, politics, bad refs, star players sitting out games
The NBA is dying because the league thinks that the Lakers are the Harlem globetrotters and every other team is the Washington Generals, last year the lakers shot 1000 more freethrows than any other team, people are getting tired of all the league and all it's laker licking.

Your NOT getting a big contract for playing great defense...you get paid for scoring, stat padding, getting yours
The NBA got less and less interesting since Kobe retired. There’s no one else who can match what he did, skill wise. Players don’t want to play all 82 games anymore and just want to load manage while making millions.
1. Adam Silver
2. Referees
3. Defense
4. Three points
5. Load management
Barkley is completely right teams don’t know how to play bball
Another thing is that these players believe they are "more talented" while disrespecting previous generations. The question is that they score a lot because the rules let them. Freedom of movement, no handcheck, no additional action (cannot be expressive), hanging on the rim gets a tech (regardless of intent) makes it a shootout league where your best offense is better offense. No challenging, no competition.
To me, the easy money system the NBA has developed is the trigger for the rest of the issues. I don't think it will recover until the whole system starts losing big money.
I’m gonna say that it’s accessibility. The product has changed but the affordability of content in today’s time is not cheap.

Didn't know basketball was still on tv........
Nba doesn't let players play real defense. The NBA CEO Adam silver commissioner is horrible
The ONLY thing that matters in the NBA is money. Money is the Association’s driving force.
What about load management, player movement, lack of competitiveness and ridiculous ticket prices? Those are all contributing factors.
Bro was spitting pure facts on this video great work 👍
The irony is that fans and retired players shit talk Tom Thibs style of actually playing his best players a ton of minutes while demanding their engagement on defense. More ironically the NY Knicks are now the most fun team in the league to watch due to this mindset and collection of high end talent that plays hard every night.
The team that wins the 2028 championship should be the team that represents us in the 2028 Olympics.
Period.
The game is boring now...I watch mens and women college ball over NBA
Cuz your a weak person
It's easy to shoot 3s when you are not tired because you don't play defense and nobody is playing defense on you.
Bring back all the rules pre 1997. There. I fixed it for you.
No u didnt u clown 🤡. You want guys to be tired??? Also there is defense but yall are so brainwashed and braindead by nostalgia to see it
The marketing in the NBA is terrible.
Players soft. They wouldn’t survive in the old days when it was PHYSICAL BASKETBALL
Why are ratings down? People hate change. Sports, like other things, evolve. Baseball and Basketball have both changed. Football and hockey will also change. Just adapt and enjoy it.
The solution to the free throws problem is easy. Just abolish them and just automatically give 1.5 points to the team that was fouled
I want to say my reasons why NBA is trash nowadays:
1)Referees suck
2)Advertising being shoved down our throats so much
3)No defense or physicality; also the flopping
4)3 pointers/memechucking
5)Load management/lack of effort
6)Delusional players completely out of touch with reality
7)The players running the league
8)Adam Silver being a spineless coward
9)Woke-ism
10)Too many channels to try to find your team play
it's the rules , change the rules . It's not the defense , it's what's allowed on defense
This started when the NBA decided to be political and chose a side. When NBA people started kneeling during the start of 2020’s fans that wanted to watch sports to get a break from real life voted with their remote controls.
The intro LeBron clip always gets me 😂😂😂 mans was tweaking
LeFlop running the league
Why not adopt fiba rules, I remember watching it and seeing some of the nbas “stars” look real mid in fiba rule setting. My homie said we’re watching real basketball when they play in the Olympics
Mike caught a stray 😂
NBA fan here. Still watching. Just because you and others aren’t doesn’t mean it’s “failing” 🤣
Uhhh... actually it does. The rating have dropped over 50% and that means that the people paying for marketing dollars, are not reaching their audience. Which means there will be a correction at some point in the near future.
Imagine being this delusional 🤣
You being a Hornets fan, how do you feel about the PS5 incident. Where they "gave" a kid a PS5 for Xmas. Only for it to be taken from him behind closed doors and away from the people
Steph Curry is the worst thing to happen to the NBA who plays just like a WNBA player. I don’t know how that’s good for the sport as a whole.
Only watching you because you seem to be one of the only basketball channels that aren't ai generated. At least i think your voice sounds like a real human...
There are many reasons why fans have been losing interest in the NBA, but we can take comfort in the fact that the Celtics are the current champions. In fact, the BOSTON CELTICS have won 18 NBA Championships, while the LOS ANGELES LAKERS have won only 12 NBA Championships (1972, 1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010, 2020*).* Covid Bubble Year
The NBA commissioner should be blame in all of this happening!
I kinda disagree with some of your points personally. You say things like "did you know the okc thunder were in first place in the west, did you know the cavs were 26-4?"
Yes I did.
Get rid of the commissioner
The players value profit over passion.
I enjoyed when Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy were game analysts. They were tradition.
The goat is back 🐐
Bro - you lost me when you mentioned Legend of Winning. He is the JJ Reddick of youtubers..RUclips... and that is NOT a compliment
