Great video. Simple, straight to the point. Made things look so easy and doable. Tips on pannier locks and packing for the trip was also spot on. Keep up the good work. Happy riding ...
Grazie, molto utile.
Many thanks for this, I have fitted mine today, to my Thruxton RS couldn't get them for £117 though. The instructions made it easy and the security aspect really helped my confidence in the product. I wasn't quite expecting the suspension bolt to be quite so hard to shift.
I've seen a pair for sale with the fitting kit. The instructions say that they won't fit if you have done the fender eliminator conversion. I'm away from the bike at the moment, but trying to figure why, as the nylon lugs fit to the top rail and not underneath. Any ideas please?
Great video my man. I have a silver Thruxton R 2017 I've been looking for some panniers that would not spoil the looks of a magnificent looking motorcycle. I have a tiger xrt for a long trips but once in a while I would like to carry something on the Thruxton. I'm wondering what those Chrome brackets would look like painted flat or gloss black if they would stand out less and be less noticeable...
I was thinking of getting some plates welded on the inside of the frame with a union jack on them to make a feature. They only take 5 minutes to remove if you only use them occasionally. I have been looking at the Tiger 1050 for longer journeys but not ready to buy yet.
Thank you for an extremely helpful video. I'm planning to buy the same panniers, and wondered what make are your combination padlocks with steel loop. Would it be possible to know please? I've been googling for hours! Thank you.
Thanks for the video. I have these fitted to a thruxton i bought. If i want to take the pannier frame off, do i need the nice orginal bolt with the hex head, or can i use that ugly bolt that comes with the kit? Are they different length bolts or something? Tia n merry xmas!!
You can use either of them but I leave the rails on. I thought about getting an insert for them with either a number or a Union Jack on them to make a feature of them.
@@upnorthbiker Thanks for the reply. It is a pain to take them on and off. They also come in black and i thought about just swapping them out as they look a bit less inconspicuous vs the chromed. I actually found some nice aftermarket bolts also from Raisch
Excellent video, very detailed. I assume setup is the same for a T120. Do the panniers not move too much when you ride on bad road ? Thank you from Switzerland.
Hi Thanks for the feedback. I would think they are very similar on the T120 however Givi now do a rack for the T120 so you can fit Givi side cases to the Bonneville. Regarding the panniers, yes they move a little but do not really affect the handling on medium speed, 60 MPH, twisty roads. I have not been on a motorway with the panniers fitted but as long as you are not going crazy i don't think they are heavy enough when loaded to cause major handling problems.
@@upnorthbiker Not so sure on the rare, approx 85K made and over 50% still around but 80% did go to US when made. Panniers are replacing a rackbag for day runs but do get some miles in going to Classic TT which is pencilled in for 2023.
IF YOU LET ALL THESE THREE LOCKS ON THE PANNIERS DURING THE VOYAGE -- THEY WILL CRAMBLE AND DANCE ON THE PANNIERS CAUSING DAMAGE TO THEM AND A HELL OF NOISE !!!!! IF YOU DONT THEN YOU HAVE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK THEM EVERY TIME YOU STOP -----

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you found it useful
Ta for clear instructions. I’ve just gone and bought the same for my bike! I look forward to using them in the summer
Glad you found them useful. I am really looking forward to getting away once we can travel out of the area.
Thank you for taking the time to do this - well done! Also thanks for the link to the instructions - mine did not have any included in the box.
Glad it helped!
A load of great information there mate! Especially on how to secure the panniers form thiefs
Glad you found it useful

Excellent stuff! Thanks so much for taking the time to fit, remove then refit - all for our benefit. Thinking of getting these for my 2021 T100.
Thanks for the feedback. Keep an eye on prices as they vary from £120 to £300
Thanks. Found on the bay new for £139. The Hepco & Becker ones look OK too but rather bulky and a lot more money
夏にStreetTwinを購入しました。その時注文したパニアキットは最近やっと届きました。
これから取り付けますがとても参考になりました。特に両側のパニアをワイヤーでつなげるアイデアはとてもいいですね。ありがとうございました。

Glad it helped, i have used mine a lot and they seem quite durable.
Had a silver thruxton once but that green looks the goods 🍻
Solid touring tips there too 👍🏼
Yes I think the green is the best colour. I have not seen the chrome ones yet though
Great job mate! Thanks!
No problem 👍
Good genuine DIY video…👍
Glad you liked it
Great video. Very clear and informative. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I can't see why they wouldn't still fit, the fixings are to the suspension, the foot pegs and the frame under the seat
Hi, good video I’m looking at getting these but can the pillion get feet on the rear pegs
Hi Mark I can’t answer that one as I only have the single seat but I think it would be tight for pillion space
Thanks just looking in way of the rear footpegs
Thanks, great vid UNB, very informative. Like your natural video style. Subbed.
Thanks for the sub!

Where can you get the panniers cheaper? Sorry didnt catch that part
I got mine from total triumph I think. Keep an eye out for offers as they occasionally drop in price

Will the bags fit a helmet?
Unfortunately not they are quite small. 15L capacity I think which is similar to the size of a large tank bag

Just fitted these to a 1974 Commando, the security info will carry across too.
Wow a Commando, beautiful bike and rare now. Are you touring on it?

Hi the panniers are nylon so there is no noise or damage. Agree it would be no use with hard cases
