That 2nd amp setting you demo’d (black w/green line) is a Trace Elliot sim from the look and sound of it. Seems like another cool plug-in from Tukan to try once it’s released. Thanks for the video!

Great addition to the Tukan plugin collection. John does an incredible job for the Reaper community ! And as a bass player I will enjoy it even more ! Thanks for this review Myke !
Please create some presets representing some 70s and 80s bass tones as well. I find it strangely hard to dial in amp plugins and am often hindered by the emphasis on metal tones in many free amp Sims. I could really use some examples to start with. Thank you for reviewing this and for the great content in general.
@@LetsTalkAboutReaperI am apparently living under a 🪨. Thanks for taking me out of the stone age, can't wait to check out some of these newer JS plugins.
Nice song choice with Dawn Patrol, Mike!! That's rad. Also, thank you for making videos about reaper. You've helped me learn a bunch of things about it. You actually influenced my decision to switch from Reason to Reaper. I am super glad I did too. I still use Reason for a couple of things, but with Reaper.... There's no comparison really. Thanks again!! >M
Are you on the Discord server? I'd love to hear more about the conversion story and why you were looking for something different. I've never used Reason and know nothing about it. It's always interesting to hear what brings people from one DAW to another
Ok so, I downloaded all these plugins and have been using them the last few days. Lots of cool stuff in there, but oh my goodness this plugin crosses off a lot of boxes for me. Multiple heads, cabs, effects, microphones, and a compressor to boot. Now I can practice bass and have an all-in-one creation station at my fingertips. The only thing that's missing is a reverb and delay, but I'm already in the daw so that's not a biggie. This would be amazing as a standalone application , but I'm very lucky to get my hands on this for free ninety nine so no complaints from me. I've wanted Neural DSP to make something like this for bass for a long time but Tukan beat them to the punch.
Hey that plugin seems pretty sweet. Like an idiot, I wasn't paying attention at the beginning when you mentioned you were "previewing" the plugin. As a result, I went into ReaPack and started updating, installing, and reinstalling the Tukan plugins and wondering "why doesn't the bass plugin install?" But now I'm subbed to John's youtube. And also, now I have the Tukanoplex, which is pretty sweet too. So, I guess, not a total loss.
nice riffing! Awesome plugins. I wish there were more tutorials on a few others. I use the turquoise peak limiter on my mastering chain. Not sure if that is what its for but I can accurately dial in true peak and luffs better than I can with others Not a base or guitar player, but like designing plucks and base with Vital and processing them with the Tukan guitar rig and/or tape delay, etc... to get that 'analogue warmth'?
I got a copyright notice on this video for another song I played that I felt wasn't close enough, but on the flip side, was kinda flattering. I'm no Cliff Button 🥹
I’m having difficulty installing TUKAN in my new windows 11. I had it in windows 10, but I had to replace that computor because the processor became not powerful enough. I downloaded TUKAN, and tried to move it to User Plugins but after restarting Reaper, it doesn’t show up in my FX window. I accepted Myk’s invite to get on discord, but they couldn’t help. I have gotten Dell support to help get ReaPack and SWS installed.
I pinged you on Discord (just got off work). If you're available, I'll be around a few hours and would be glad to do a remote session with you. Based on the Discord conversation I think I know what's going on. We can use QuickAssist (built into windows 11, it's a Microsoft tool) for the remote session

Hi man, see if you can help, please, I have a notebook with a low screen resolution, 1366/768, do you know if there is a way to increase the resolution of the reaper... or how to make the tracks smaller on the mixer panel, because with the low resolution they are gigantic on the screen... thank you in advance.
Good morning (or afternoon?) to you! I'm in clinic all day today (day job) but if you would, hop on the Discord server and some other other should be able to help a bit more quickly. I won't have access to my REAPER system for a bit and didn't want to leave you hanging waiting on me.
I'd actually recommend just adding Tukan's reapack repository and installing that way. All that said, I can verify the manual install path a bit later, if no one beats me to it

Like so many channels doing this type of thing.. the time between the clean sound and the processed sound gets mucked up with needless talking. Do an actual A/B comparison.. it's not hard.

Some of that may be the dead strings on his bass, and the back pickup.
