People are getting laid off and scammers are seeing this as an opportunity to attack the vulnerable at their lowest point. Boy there are some nasty characters on this earth
Scammers have been like this since forever. I guess you've never heard of scams on elderly who's on fixed income? Scammers don't care if you're disabled or 90 years old. As long as they get their money, it's all good. It is literally survival of the fittest. Some humans just lose all that makes them human when survivability is on the line.
Tech platforms make all this possible. In the 90s when jobs had to be applied for in person this happened a total of zero times. Tech companies have made our live worse, not better.
I was nearly scammed by the same sort of scam. they asked me for the same things that she mentioned. I gave them expired info to be cautious. I was glad that I did. I could have been out 2-3 grand had I not been extra vigilant. Job searchers, beware!
cant always stop every single scammer, they are a very credible source, these scammers that got through are really good. Cant blame the sites people should know to take extra precaution when given such information about yourself. there are ways to protect yourself and respond to figure out if they are real or not.
They are credible. I've found jobs working for fortune 500 companies using these sites. People need to educate themselves. No legit employer is going to ask for your credit card number. No legit company is going to ask you to buy your own equipment. No legit employer will be asking for you to provide copies of your ID unless it's for the completion of your I9 (which you have to provide 2 proofs of identity for), which they aren't going to ask you to complete until you've accepted their offer because background checks and verifications cost time and money.
I nearly got scammed, they used a real company, had multiple people etc.. but I thought something was fishy. So I told the woman I was instead going to apply directly on the businesses website. She panicked and tried to stop me 🤣
Been getting Indian calls about contractor jobs recently and after they asked for social and information I was like, NOPE. let the hiring manager talk to me and call me and we can set up an in person meeting (that ended that very quickly).
It’s always Indians - 1 Ask them where they are calling from. 2 Ask them what time it is there. 3 ask them to verify the company name again. 4 see if they’ve hung up yet 5 don’t send your resume, send the info of someone you hate
Thanks so much for exposing scammers. They are a plague to this world and what you are doing is admirable and amazing! #Adriannotch I'm your big fan!!!
"The scammed have become Soooo sophisticated!" I mean... not really.. all they did was ask for photos of the front and back of your I.D. along with the front and back of your debit/credit card, why would you be giving that information to someone who you've never even SEEN in person before??
Living under capitalism is being yelled at by your employer that if you’re not happy get a new job and then looking for a new job and having your identity or something stolen because we can’t have anything nice without another 10 people trying to scan their way into money just like every other millionaire billionaire.
I just looked it up and it says it is a real job indeed is on there and BAD reviews about work days SO SHE'S WRONG IF YOU GOOGLE THE NAMES IT'S SET UP TO LOOK REAL YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW
Scammers plays the statistic , theres always ignorant out there who would fall for the scams, this is why I think high schools should add in curriculums real life scenarios like this
They tried on me, I asked for their business license and official website. I told them it's illegal to ask for DOB, they tried to say just month and date. it's just BS
If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Use common sense people! A legit employer will not ask you to pay for equipment, it is provided. A legit employer is not going to ask for a copy of you ID unless it's for your I-9 (which you also have to provide a second proof of identity) or your job requires driving company cars/trucks. A legit employer is not going to ask for your credit card number. They may perform credit checks depending on the job, but you can leave a note on the application letting them know you do not feel comfortable providing your SSN this early in the application process...are people this dense?!
This is due to a lack of access to resources, education, and opportunities that are readily available to those with higher socioeconomic status. Additionally, systemic issues such as discrimination and unequal distribution of wealth further perpetuate this cycle of poverty.
*Adrian notch* consistently delivers some of the finest content on this platform. This particular recovery was absolutely mind-blowing, and it seems like each recovery surpasses the previous one, continuously improving and exceeding expectations.
People I know didn’t give out any personal information beyond name and email. No jobs taken either. Scam of buying gift cards. All nearly scammed but didn’t fall for it.
The scammers are not sophisticated at all yes things may look legit but nobody and I mean absolutely nobody in the history of the world has had to pay to get a job the job pays us so as soon as any jobs okay you got to pay for this to get the job you know it's not a job it's a scam. The end
It's just common sense. People should not provide any information beyond their name only after talking to the interviewers and have received an offer so they can do I-9s.
@christianc6941 thank you! You don't give out that information until you received an offer and a legit company woll not ask for that information until you've accepted that offer. Then they complete their background checks and verifications (I9). I'm amazed that people don't know this or how this process works. You should not be giving out PII (such as SSNs, credit card numbers, DL numbers, EINs) on job applications! And no legit company will ask for your CC number or ask for you to buy your own equipment.
I love this *Novacyber* and, you are a freaking legend dude! I love the recovery's ‚videos and the angry scammers and the hacking of their wallet but I absolutely love these videos where you help the victims in real time. I don't have much confidence in this scammer "coming to the good side" so to speak but I hope you come out with more ideas like this, stopping the scams with the victims involved'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know the best way to avoid job scams online. Apply for jobs in person.
I was nearly scammed by the same sort of scam. they asked me for the same things that she mentioned. I gave them expired info to be cautious. I was glad that I did. I could have been out 2-3 grand had I not been extra vigilant. Job searchers, beware!
I’m surprised how linked and indeed allow this to happen, these sites are supposed to be creditable
They are credible ya Fool! Ya cant stop all them! Scammers everywhere….. stop blaming the sites all the time!

Exactly. They don't care or check.

I reported one of these scam listings to Indeed and they didn't even respond!
I nearly got scammed, they used a real company, had multiple people etc.. but I thought something was fishy. So I told the woman I was instead going to apply directly on the businesses website. She panicked and tried to stop me 🤣
NO one should be taking your ID or info, until you are hired and in the building.
Been getting Indian calls about contractor jobs recently and after they asked for social and information I was like, NOPE. let the hiring manager talk to me and call me and we can set up an in person meeting (that ended that very quickly).
My friend, my friend, my friend! You were almost a victim of a Vindaloop
It’s always Indians -

It probably isn't very hard to get one over on a social media marketer. Your whole degree is based on a hustle.
There are also many real companies who don't pay after weeks or months of working.
Thanks so much for exposing scammers. They are a plague to this world and what you are doing is admirable and amazing! #Adriannotch I'm your big fan!!!

Dont click on the scams
No, the online job sites don't. They don't do anything!! These site don't care.
😂 if getting the job is that easy and the job looks enjoyable, you’re getting scammed. That’s the way I look at it.
I just looked it up and it says it is a real job indeed is on there and BAD reviews about work days SO SHE'S WRONG IF YOU GOOGLE THE NAMES IT'S SET UP TO LOOK REAL YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW
I've been trying to scam scammers and haven't found any takers.
Scammers plays the statistic , theres always ignorant out there who would fall for the scams, this is why I think high schools should add in curriculums real life scenarios like this
Just recently had Indian scammers ask for my SSN, DOB and full name to “submit me to a job req” yeah okay. Watch out guys, it’s rough out here
They tried on me, I asked for their business license and official website. I told them it's illegal to ask for DOB, they tried to say just month and date. it's just BS

Watch out for Aerotek
How are they a scam?
Yeah this has been going on for YEARS !!!!!
This is due to a lack of access to resources, education, and opportunities that are readily available to those with higher socioeconomic status. Additionally, systemic issues such as discrimination and unequal distribution of wealth further perpetuate this cycle of poverty.

ya i got scammed before, finally they said something about!
Those scammers must be part of the findom community.
Must be from India
People I know didn’t give out any personal information beyond name and email. No jobs taken either. Scam of buying gift cards. All nearly scammed but didn’t fall for it.
Did she check on BBB?

non sense! seeking for easy high paying job and not expecting its a scam?
I don't think the scammers are getting smarter. I think the "college graduates" are getting dumber.
You're the dumb one if you think it is only college graduates who have been scammed .
Very True!
Agreed!
as if you wouldn't fall for it
More desperate...
So scary. First time hear this. But make sense. When you apply for job, you provide all your personal info to them. Including your social security.
It's just common sense. People should not provide any information beyond their name only after talking to the interviewers and have received an offer so they can do I-9s.

Only provide social #, bank account, ID after the job offer is officially extended with a contract, usually 30 to 40 pages to sign
this ain't nothing , i got credit card skim out of thousands ... that's more worrying cause u don't know it until yr money is gone
