I went back to through your videos to see the overhead look of the tree, if you disconnect your fence, you could dump it to the right bottom corner. Then clean up the three piece as it on the grown. 1. No one goes up a tree, 2. Safety on the ground, 3. It would be less work and less stress on your back… good luck with your projects.
Good Morning SLR, I feel for you Gary, I spend one day working out in the yard and my lower back is toast. Listen to your body.. I'm 70 and ignored it and now it repays me in ten fold some times. ;-) Love following your dream of homesteading.
Mel, take care of your back , I'm 76 years old and have worked hard for 50 years ,and now my back is cuput, use a wheel chair , love seeing your family doing the dream ❤❤❤
Good morning Gary and Mel! I am enjoying this weather. The fencing for the goats looks great! It's ok about the footings at camp life. Use your instincts and rest your backs. You can go back. Love you all... ❤ 😊
Good Morning guys! I was wondering how you thought working in the brush would rest your back for footings. LOL I gone down that road before, it's just that there is work that will always be hard on the back! I think y'all did an awesome job on the fence. You two are so funny🤪. I think you ought to do whatever you want. Don't let people talk ya into doing something that your not ready for. Your journey is all about you not us, I'm just glad ya like to share and teach about homesteading. Your also teaching how to raise kids, cook, and live an awesome life.
Don't push your backs, you don't want to cause more damage. Make sure you are 100% back before you start the cement work. Take the tree down will still be alot of work. ❤ the Tree is kind of more important to get it down.
Y’all do y’all and stay safe ❤. Sending Love from Kentucky to your whole family ❤. Sending love also to Anthony, Roxanne, and Wyatt! You all are amazing and we love watching. The girls were really working hard. Abe was really getting it in❤. Love watching ❤ Stay Safe and TAKE CARE of your BODIES ❤.
I definitely understand the heat! It's been crazy here to. We keep breaking high temp records every day. The whole country is burning up. Our electric company is asking people to conserve as much as possible! Today will be 105. I'm glad to hear ya'll will be cooler today. It's hard to work in this heat!
Best of luck no matter what you choose to do today. The tree is daunting. 😊 Shoveling is just really hard on you. Maybe a break is needed. So take off for the weekend. Spoil yourself and reward the kids.
You feel best, but it is not bad to take a rest for a few days, and recover. I can live with that. By the way I am happy that you and CRC are 4 hands on one belly. Feels like me and my sister. Keep that. It is gold.
I say do the tree. It all has to be done eventually. Who cares what job you choose? It will all get done. With "skeet skirting", you won't get sick of working on the same project every day. We get a variety in what we watch. Thank you for taking us with you. XOXO ❤❤❤❤❤ 👍👍👍👍👍
I say you do what you want to do. It's your life. Satisfy yourself. Don't let people you've never met control or manipulate you with critical comments.
hi there slr. i think the tree comes first because it is that time off the year where the storms are coming so it have bigger chance to make some of the branches falling off. and you do not need to cut the whole tree, you can just pick of the limbs that can break off and hurt someone or something. and if you do it correctly then you can cut it in that way whit lines and diffrent notches so it falls like you want. and you can take a day or two to rest up also if you do the tree instead. but that is what i think, have a great day!
Do that tree you guys. Listen to your bodies and do the easier task as the bodies heal up. The footers are another project that can wait till your bodies are up to it. Stay safe you guys on the 41.36
I vote for tree as its a safety item!!! But the "Bing bonging" around is a good thing cause you have several projects to work on when or if there are missing items !! Let me add another for the raining day you can set up and run electrical and plumbing in the upstairs part to keep that moving also
By the time I had a chance to watch your video, your work day was over. But I hope you took the tree down. You know how dangerous it is, and you never know when it could come down on its own. So, I believe it's your biggest priority right now. Stay safe and rest your backs. By the way, Gary did not lie. When your health is involved, sometimes you have to choose your health over your plans. Stay safe always.
Greetings from Northeast Ohio. I care about you guys so much. Have a professional do the tree. I’ve had several trees taken down by professionals who have the proper equipment. Big difference.
Note I am not an expert but my Son's would Tie off that branch someone on the ground pull it so when it falls it goes where its tied not on your patio. Again what I have seen the big timber guys do.
Sorry guys but the gazebo should come after the footers for the mud room. Or do all the footers on the same day😅. The tree can be done while the footers are drying ❤
You can get that tree down. Gary and Mel take care of your backs. The tree is better gone and used as firewood then taking up space. This is an old video I did not see. Nice job on opening up the space on the top tear. You rock.
I think u all should just do what will b easiest on ur body's, nothing wrong with taking it easy recoup from previous strenuous work. Love ya guys love all ur video's
Since you have the committment with the company, do the footers and then during the curing, go to the chiropractor and then take care of the tree. Just my opinion. :)
I understand why you don't hire a company to take down the tree. I was quoted $1500 for a tree in my yard. That didn't include hauling it away! Be careful!
Remember wat you said mel, this life your leading is not a marathone or a race.you can only do what you can do.with your physical wel being allowing . I will watch you an follow you both for ever how long it takes.good Lord willin an creek don't rise. My mom use to say that, that is where i learned it from.my mom an dad both taught me to be humble an respect others, and just treat others as you would want to be treated.well like you say i squirreld off. Get some rest an take care of your backs. You both are amazing. You are so funny mel when you are teasing Gary. But i know you are only kidding with him. ❤😊the light work my heart gos out to gary, because of his back.😊by guys. Have a good one.
Ya’ll are amazing…wish I had done what you guys did. I was chicken 🐓 so all I did was flip houses. Keep up the great work and make plenty of videos for us. Hugs 🤗 to you and the kiddos. God Bless.
Is that my coffee? lol I will be joining you on the Zoom call. I am excited to see what it's all about! I am all about local, made in USA products. See you then.
Leave the tree alone until you can get some help with it. You need to be at your best for work like that. The same goes for the concrete... get some help... a tractor with a bucket would be ideal.
Hello! Personally I feel like the USA and Canada are like sisters. I have no problem with Canadians or products made in Canada. In my opinion I believe that products coming from countries like China simply are not worth the price we have to pay.
Take care of your back in any way you can what's the score when you're done I'm 78 a female used to work hard but when you start having problems with your back not good treat it good don't overwork it
Do the tree. Once you start theen as you keep working on it then its gone you can step back and say' well thats another thing that needed done and TA DA it is done ....great job
Hello Mel and Gary, the sore back issues arise again, mmmh, not good. Still learn what the limits are now and work within them, that is a must do. I have commented on back care in a few videos as it is a sore spot for me, pardon the pun. I recap a friend wanting to show someone how to do weight lifting. I asked that he warm up first, but no he didn’t and on the first left his muscles in his back spasmed and he was done for a few days. You may think it nuts to make stretching time before a stint of physical Hakka but it will help improve your muscle movement, better that than the alternative. Shoveling rocks, using D handled shovels will be better for you, and not those huge square mouth shovels. I shortened long handles and added D handles so I put my back at less risk. You could look at ergonomic shovel handles to see how they work for you. Take care and stay safe.
Hey Mel, I am making something personalized for the kids, Can you tell me if I am spelling the kids names correctly, Julia, Charolette, Gabe and what is each of their favorite color?
i wouldn't climb that tree cut it one time and make sure it will not damage anything when it falls down climbing that tree is super dangerous because it a dead tree my uncle was arborist he was professional tree trimmer he climb up in a dead tree the tree fell down and killed my uncle my uncle had 5 children and wife my aunt just be very careful Gary that's super dangerous thing to do
Take care of your backs, you have to live with your backs for the rest of your lives and back pain is no fun. The trees are dangerous. Those trees could smash your hard work in a blink of an eye.

@@RealTalkwithSLR I already did with crc about 2 months ago
I have a job fair to be at.
Sounds like Amway
I vote for the tree! Before it does damage. You know Murphy's law if you put it off!!!!

Always Safety first, biggest regrets are not attending to safety before disaster strikes. No jinxes, 🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️
I'm sure monkey Mike will be happy to help you cut it down lol❤❤😂
You don't work for us. There's no whip in our hands, but "WHEN,WHEN,WHEN!!!
I wish you could have the help of David and Mike and Anthony with that tree !keep safe !
I say you do what you want to do. It's your life. Satisfy yourself. Don't let people you've never met control or manipulate you with critical comments.

Do that tree you guys. Listen to your bodies and do the easier task as the bodies heal up. The footers are another project that can wait till your bodies are up to it. Stay safe you guys on the 41.36
I vote for safety on the homestead. Get that tree down before rainy season comes! Texas Deb ❤️
Do what YOU feel like.
My husband and I pour a total if 277 60 # bags of concrete Patio is awesome…. I am 66 and hubs is 64. …. Never too old.

You need the Rice Krispie treatment at the ol' chiropractor! Yesirree, Bob!
OMG, DONT beat yourself up!! Life gets in the way. If viewers don't like it too bad. Once you wreck your back it will haunt you for life.
You guys are so funny do what you want😅😂love ya
Mel and Gary may I suggest to that you do what you want to do. LOL LOL
Need to check the dogs often for ticks now that they're in the woods.
Note I am not an expert but my Son's would Tie off that branch someone on the ground pull it so when it falls it goes where its tied not on your patio. Again what I have seen the big timber guys do.
It's your life , keep it simple.
Sorry guys but the gazebo should come after the footers for the mud room. Or do all the footers on the same day😅. The tree can be done while the footers are drying ❤
I’ve done trees before and concrete both kill the back for sure and i see no difference. Whatever it is I’ll watch
God bless you 🙏

Get containers. Mark 1 2 and 3. Write projects 1 2 3 on paper. Can't decide. ? Have kids draw one. Be sure related ones on same page.
Start with the 🌳 tree
Since you have the committment with the company, do the footers and then during the curing, go to the chiropractor and then take care of the tree. Just my opinion. :)
Go to the doc guys NOW❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You guys need to go to Houston Texas to the Align Clinic chiropractors
Hello Mel and Gary, enjoy your day and good luck!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
I understand why you don't hire a company to take down the tree. I was quoted $1500 for a tree in my yard. That didn't include hauling it away!
Be careful!
I think you may need the day to do something non-stressing, like slapping more wood thru the mill for the playroom project.
Take care of the danger first
Remember wat you said mel, this life your leading is not a marathone or a race.you can only do what you can do.with your physical wel being allowing . Did you hear about the illegitimate rice crispy? he had a snap and a crackle but no pop!!!
Gary...can you put a come-a-long with some straps to put tension away danger...then do your cutting
I agree. That tree really needs to go. Before a big wind or the kids are in the back yard.
Your going a great job on your homestead, me personally I would deal with that tree to make it more safer then you could finish it of later.
❤ I sat it's you're choice for yourself.
Like you said, Mel Gary, give a squirrel a seed, and you run with it. Lol. Squirrel !
Take down the tree before a storm decides to make you wish you had. 🤗
Do the tree, it could do a lot of damage if it isn’t taken down in a controlled way.
The chiropractor may help, but have you thought of physical therapy for your backs? CN help you prevent future injuries.
Hello 👋 Mel and Gary 👍
Is that my coffee? lol I will be joining you on the Zoom call. I am excited to see what it's all about! I am all about local, made in USA products. See you then.
Welcome aboard! Sounds great! 😃
20:39 id do the tree first, you will be glad it’s gone before winter.
Leave the tree alone until you can get some help with it. You need to be at your best for work like that. The same goes for the concrete... get some help... a tractor with a bucket would be ideal.
Good afternoon guys. 😀😀it's 👌 take your time be safe like want yall did with the dogs and great. 😇👍❤️❤️
I am Canadian and I do not support that BS. We have to buy American goods so you can buy ours.
Hello! Personally I feel like the USA and Canada are like sisters. I have no problem with Canadians or products made in Canada. In my opinion I believe that products coming from countries like China simply are not worth the price we have to pay.
❤Squirrels love trees!❤️🙏😘
I think the tree needs to be done before someone or something gets hurt or damaged
Well, it is later in the day at this point, but I vote for the tree!!! 🌳 😉 😀 😅
Do the tree!! That’s more of a threat to your family than anything around you!! Do the Tree
Do the Tree!! 🌳😊🤷♀️
Take care of your back in any way you can what's the score when you're done I'm 78 a female used to work hard but when you start having problems with your back not good treat it good don't overwork it
If you follow, its been said they are building on cash only. No loans and no day to day employment.
what are you goingto dowith the goats(milk eat ect)
The tree 🌲👍👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🤠
Do the tree. Once you start theen as you keep working on it then its gone you can step back and say' well thats another thing that needed done and TA DA it is done ....great job
The tree is important too!!
Do the footers, then the tree, then the footers for the mud room 🤔
Mud room footers are already done. We just need lumber and to build it up there 💚💚💚
Don’t do anything, rest your backs another day
Hello Mel and Gary, the sore back issues arise again, mmmh, not good. Still learn what the limits are now and work within them, that is a must do. Concrete ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Anthony has been talking about this for a long time and now you just started to talk about this wow just jumped on the train.
Absolutely! 💯
You got to take time and relax at time's 😊
Footings first (weather) , then the rest while concrete cures.
Hello Mel and Gary I'm down in my back I feel your pain Mel
Hey Mel, I am making something personalized for the kids, Can you tell me if I am spelling the kids names correctly, Julia, Charolette, Gabe and what is each of their favorite color?
👍 The best plans of man never survive the first step lol 😅
Advil is a miracle med for sore muscles.
Push through it. Do the concrete.
The weather is always so changeable. The tree is dangerous. I say get it down ASAP.
i wouldn't climb that tree cut it one time and make sure it will not damage anything when it falls down climbing that tree is super dangerous because it a dead tree my uncle was arborist he was professional tree trimmer he climb up in a dead tree the tree fell down and killed my uncle my uncle had 5 children and wife my aunt just be very careful Gary that's super dangerous thing to do
Sorry, I’m late watching this, but I would vote for the tree. Its still hard work, no matter what. Take care!
The tree....
Do the tree or do footers then tree while footers cure
The 🌲 but neither is easy😂
Take care of your backs, you have to live with your backs for the rest of your lives and back pain is no fun.
The trees are dangerous. Those trees could smash your hard work in a blink of an eye.
Hello both of you
