I watched someone talk about keeping her glass jars and after cleaning them, she fills them with water and keeps them on shelves. All sizes and shapes. Because water. And I live in the country but, you know, winter is coming and I'm restocking (again).
THAT'S ANOTHER GREAT IDEA!!!
I wash and save my ‘Simply Orange’ jugs. Once they dry I have them all hung on a rope in the garage. When the tornados came through Arkansas a couple of months ago, my daughter had handy free bottles of water for the entire week they were without services. I add another jug every week.
My husband and I had the seamless vinyl coated guttering system installed by a company that had the rollout machine in November 1981. That guttering is still on the house and working well. An occasional pressure washing keeps it looking good.
I’m sorry for my negativity but I’m so discouraged today and it’s only the first of the month but my retirement check just isn’t going very far so I’m sad

My Aunt and cosin live in Newport Tennessee they finally got water back on today. Drinking water being delivered. Preparing for anything is always wise. ❤

Any time you get a buck is the best time to stock the freezer.
I ordered my monthly groceries today from walmart and they were completely out of paper towels, toilet paper, water, butter all paper plates and paper products. The girl that brought out my groceries said they now are out of. butter and lots of groceries. Its crazy most of the things they are running out of don't even come in on ships.
I blame that on the manager who has a store that never orders anything and they just take whatever they get off the trucks
Not to scare anyone, but I just remembered this happened.
Yesterday when us girls were in town for the dentist and our girls day, Gary had asked me to stop at Walmart for some hunting laundry detergent (it's special stuff to ward off scent to be more stealth when hunting) and we pulled up and Walmart was closed. The workers standing outside not letting anyone in said at first they were having power outages, then said it was communication/Internet.. and the food coolers weren't staying cold. That they were rotating things from the back to the front because too much time passed & it was going bad. They would re open when that was done and power/Internet was stable. We were like that sucks but okay. So we left and went across the street to tractor supply to look for the detergent. They had it, but when we got to the register, they had the same problem. Internet communications and registers wouldn't work. Lady at the register tried to call the main office and that number wasn't working. No one knew what to do. After a few minutes of watching workers scramble and customers all being confused wanting to pay and leave but just looking at each othed, we just decided to abandon the detergent and leave to the next lil town (on our way home) and stopped in at a true value store. They had the detergent and everything was working fine for them. When checking out I mentioned to the cashier about our mission we were just on to buy detergent for Gary and the worker laughed but did say they too were also having the same problems earlier in the day. Isn't that weird? I could see locally the Internet and electric having issues at the same time.. but what stuck out was the 800 Number to the MAIN office for all tractor supply stores also being down at the same time too? Isn't that hub in some other state? IDNK. Weird.
I really enjoyed watching you guys get your windows and door for the mud room and I can’t wait to see how Gary progresses on the mud room/ porch I know it’s going to be amazing

It’s been really sad to hear about the people that lost their homes and families and some lost all of their personal belongings too all their pictures and sentimental stuff that they had held onto it breaks my heart and some of them said that they needed everything because they had lost it all in the hurricane

I am watching this a day after as I have been canning and not watching any video's and you brought up to go get your meds if you can to be prepared. It reminded me I needed to go online and order some of mine. Thanks for the reminder. lol
Not here you can’t depend on Walmart to have it in stock I can only get with what I have money for and it’s getting harder for me

Gary best advice I can give you on hunting. 1 hour before daylight & 1 hour before dark. Keep eye on pattern of when they show up on game cam. This is coming from someone who sat in a blind everyday from September to February for 3 years.

We had a big 12 point that has been roaming our property. Some loggers cutting on the property next to us said he got hit and killed by an 18 wheeler.

The Bible says to trust in God for everything. We aren't to worry about clothes, food or anything. It says it, so 🤷 we need to adhere to it being believers. There's too many people that can't buy extra anything. We need to be saved, and this country needs to pray to Jesus and stop the hypocrisy.

hi there slr. (this is only what i think and you can take the hunting/fishing i write about whit a grain of salt or remove my comment if you want)
i think hunting is like fishing, i have never hunted but i have spent years fishing, but like i said i dont know anything about hunting.
what i know about fishing is that you want to fish in the morning or evening or at covered place or were it is deep.
becasue fish are most active when it is cold and the fish are were the food is.
early morning or late evening is when it is cold and they can spend less energy hunting what they are hunting, and when it is later in the day and it is hot then they hide in cold/covered places to not spend so much energy. another thing they are hiding from is predators so if the fish hunt in the morning/evening and hide in covered places can mean that less predators are were they are.
this is what i have learned from fishing but hunting can be similare, so that is why i think hunting in the morning/ evening or try to look at covered places could be your best bet to get a animal.

LoL! Dogs and cats yes, farm animals no. Hopefully the infrastructure we built them would hold up.

I really think you should contract the roofing you'll get the full warranty and the worry that it is done by a pro. The warranty will pay for itself in the long run. I know you guys can do it but a crew can knock it out in a day and you guys can focus on the interior of the cabin the electric and water install. Have you guys figured out your kitchen 😅

My daughter had a retainer for day and night the one during the day is clear and the other one at night is a wire
Mine at night is a clear mouth guests, the retainer is supposed to be used all day and removed at night to be put in a mouth cleaner.

Lay out parts screw lightly.. then tighten up. Hubby had to loosen bolts acouple times to make connections fit...
