Thankfully I had full coverage insurance on it. And flood damage was totally covered. It's my first time dealing with something like this, I'm gonna contact the insurance company if that is still an option. And thank you. It was all cosmetic because the engine and everything else was actually well maintained. The replacement 08 luxury trim one I have now is really nice but the previous owner definitely only had oil changes done for maintenance. I've already cleaned out the totally gunked out throttle body. It was terrible. O2 sensors are half done. And I'm most likely going to need to replace the exhaust manifold with the bank 1 cat converter. And I have to look this weekend but I might even have to replace the motor mounts. And lastly tomorrow I'm getting the oil changed and the coolant flushed and filled. I work 85 hours a week at 2 full time jobs. Saturday afternoons is the only time I have off and I spent it wrenching around the hummer and Sunday my 5 year old son and I go on adventures with it. Thanks for the comment. @@EDMTMLFilms Very cool they covered it! I actually just got rear-ended by some dude in a Jetta and his insurance already paid me a bit for it, thankfully. Insurance sure is a nice back up for these sorts of things. I'm happy you have a 2008 model! The PCM's are much more advanced than earlier years. Sounds like you are super busy, and I bet your son loves the adventures! I'm excited to hear about more updates on your new H3 🤓

But I look forward to my weekends with the hummer and my son is the reason I even got an adventure vehicle. When the first one was flooded I let him choose between a pick up truck, a wrangler, or a different SUV he said he definitely wanted another H3. And I'm happy to oblige.!
