Always great to listen to this legend. I could listen to him all day long. I feel like we're always being treated to insider information, and he explains everything in such detail. You don't get this anymore from the corporate types, they're too afraid to say the wrong thing or give too much away. So glad he is still involved with the towers and were not done yet with his amazing creations.
This was so interesting and very insightful it's good to hear he's still able to put some of his ideas and give some advice in future rollercoaster projects while leaving the designing to the new team
The legend himself has inspired many coaster layouts cross the globe and has definitely inspired me and fueled us enthusiasts to keep on riding, he is The Icon of Coaster designers world wide and is an absolutely brilliant man, thanks so much for Uploading the talk
The man whose work and creations inspired most of my own hobbies, my career in film, and the freelance work I've done for Merlin and other theme parks. The early years in his 90s theme park environments were inspirational to me. Thanks for uploading the talk 👌
What an amazing down to earth man . We were lucky to meet him at Alton towers back on roller coaster day in 2019 . He was so generous with his time and took time to engage with everyone who queued in the rain to see him . Anyone who loves Alton towers or roller coasters in general have a lot to thank John for … genius 😍😍👏🏽👏🏽🎢🙌🏽

The words "it is coming along here" has gotta relate to the new ride near Gangster Granny? I dont think its a coaster but some worlds first ride technology
If B&M had a patent on their track design it has expired since (20 years after it was filed), so there must be another reasons nobody (except for chinese manufacturers) is copying that. Does anybody know the patent number? I couldn't find anything regarding the track.
Good question, but not sure on the answer. Love how the older rides still look as good as the new ones as the track design has always been so consistent.
