I’m from Scotland and my boyfriend is from Hartlepool. He lives up here in Scotland with me but we always go down to visit my mother in law. I love Hartlepool 😂👌🏼
My favourite thing about Hartlepool is Mr “Get away from me before I start dropping people” You need to find him again. The public wants to see more of him.
Hartlepool yeah, its not the best place but rah it's a close community in most areas I live in London and I go to hartlepool to visit my dad most weeks and the beach to me is a blessing to have up there still💯
Bruh Hartlepool sounds depressing af.😂 I live in San Diego and no complaints here. We have some problems like Hartlepool but at least the weather is nice.☀️🌴🤙🏼
Nice to see you attempting to reverse the negative view of our home town in the respect of that horrid show, at least. Maybe try the station at 17:30-18:00 or 6:30-9:00 weekdays to get the true feel and perspective of this town. There you'll find people who work, are half-educated and also have to work outside of the town they live in to survive due to lack of jobs here. Nice array of public on this one.
As an ex pat I do have many good memories of Hartlepool. The headland, beaches proximity to the countryside thise are all good. However job wise it is dreadful. Had to move to the Midlands to find work. Good luck fellow Hartlepudlians you're gonna need it.
Moved to hartlepool from dorset to be with my wife your right it's a buatiful town but the lack of jobs is ridiculous been up here 6 months now had two jobs but had to travel to Middlesbrough and darlngton and was stitched up by both companies worked for am massively qualified in many areas but jobs advertised don't exist but have to show they are taking staff on. Love the headland ,the architecture ,and what the town could be with the right government backing it.
100% Yeah, favourite thing about Hartlepool - The beach and the sand dunes. Also, like to walk and run up the old lines it's cool man. Also like the cheap takeaways and cheap houses.
What i like about Hartlepool, which i do live here, i like the scenery, people, going to the beach on a hot day and we all polite unless you mess with us which is when we will be mean, but thats what everyone does. We can easily make friends due to us having similar interests, everything. Yes we have the bad stuff, but every town and city does, the town is actually getting better, and plus one of my cousins was on the Skint Britain show and all that and it never showed what hes actually like. I hope the town will become better and more popular.
Coming from Bradford, living for a time in boro' and now wanting to relocate out of Bradder's, I'm looking at Harltepool as my wife and I seriously enjoyed our holidays up in Hartlepool. Everyone seems quite friendly and nobody asked what I'm looking at not once. I'm still unsure of the pros and cons of living by the sea though?
hartlepool has its ups and downs. theres a load of dannys but if you go to certain areas there isnt any. on a thursday they play 'whos in the bin' on the market and adam johnsons getting a flat over the marina so we get all the famous people
My least favourite thing about Hartlepool. So many people simply do not understand how significant our town was. It may not be as significant as it was. However, it still matters. As do the people.
I've noticed the older ones have grew comfortably numb, desensitised as they have been kept in a small constant routine their whole lives. The young are still wondering why the architecture/housing look from the industrial era, why there are no good/fun jobs/industries such as music industry, videogames design, movie director, website design? Why do they get treat like a criminal for being? Why is violence an accepted norm in a most housing estates? Why is there a lot of rough chavs who don't like non-rough people? Why is Hartlepool significantly more stupid than other parts of the country? Instead people have to work industrialised jobs like their grandparents did 100 years ago.
Russ is by far the best featured character but unfortunately not from Hartlepool. If I were interviewed I would stop the interview and take you to my favorite things about Hartlepool: the reduced refrigerated shelf at Tesco, and the charity shops at Middleton Grange.
I think this perhaps reinforced the bad connotations rather than helped. I don't think you are going to get many well educated, professional people to interview during the day time at king John's .....
Hartlepool is a great place, if you go to jesmond gardens and onwards to around wards jackson bishop cuthbert and some places in seaton there is a brilliant community and great houses of people who actually tried to get somewhere in life. They are not like the people who were filmed on skint britain were they didn't care as a child and just wanted to mess about, they haven't tried and they ae the people who think they were unlucky but really it was their life choices that put them there.
This is a bit of a piss take really and I suspect that you know exactly what you're doing. If you want a more detailed and varied opinion then choose a wider demographic. Hartlepool as most towns do, has it's faults but go to the different areas and ask different groups of people. Hanging around outside the pubs in the town centre on a Sunday afternoon, speaking to daytime drinkers is only going to portray the town in a certain way. But you knew that already didn't you? If you want an honest and more detailed opinion of what the people of Hartlepool think of the town then I would be happy to offer you mine and introduce you to others that would gladly contribute. Not sure that's what you're after though because that wouldn't be good TV would it?
@@nubie1100 Brighton but I was born in Hartlepool. Having said that the last time I was there was 43 years ago when I was 13 so hopefully it's changed for the better.

Love walking the beach in Hartlepool from the headland up to Crimdon Dean with my dogs. Also fishing through the winter at night after hopefully Cod.
We have seaside, urban and countryside within 10 mins walk of each other. There's people who would kill for that. Dudley has a canal
