Jumbo Seafood on East Coast parkway has best chili crab in my opinion. Have not ate there in 5 years as I moved to America but I sometimes have dreams about their dish. A pitcher of tiger and a chili crab dish is all I need when I go to heaven.
The last mantou is more like huajuan 花卷 because of the pull apart sections. I prefer that better because they usually add spring onions to give it flavor. I would love to visit all locations. They look so good!
These days most if not all restaurants serve mantou with chilli crab but for "old school" guys like me, I still prefer baguette instead. Can soak up the gravy better.

I am one of Singapore's greatest cheerleaders, but there is something fundamentally wrong with 1) the plastic gloves and 2) having the staff do the dirty work! Half of the charm of chili crab is the absolute mess even the most fastidious of individuals (me) comes away with after that war with the crab. Our first chili crab experience was in 2004 - no gloves, 1 small wet napkin per person. 20 years later, we are still talking about it. And for those who are interested, it's really very easy to make at home. And you have access to a bathtub. May there always be a Singapore!
I want you to try Tandori Chicken. Where is the best? A lot of places are under seasoned for my taste. Where should I go the next time I'm in Singapore?
We have heard of those two but didn't have enough time to go check those out so ended up getting it just in Chinatown. Next time when in town gotta go check out the ones you mention!

Not really a best of list of you don't include Hua Yu Wee on Upper East Coast Road. You usually only see locals here and after you have a chilli crab or pepper crab from this place you know why.

Or the least you guys could do was to blur out the faces... it's not really a respect of privacy if there was no informing and accepting from the others whom appeared in and out of the video as background "extras"
For an episode that claims to have the best chilli crabs in Singapore, shouldnt you guys at least feature and visit Roland restaurant, which is known to be the original creators of our historic national dish?

im a sri lankan crab exporter and we stopped exporting crab one year ago. we dont have crab anymore. these crabs are from bangladesh.

So you paid 160 dollars for chilli crab? I tried the best I had in the market dot for like 10 dollars.
I'd want to know who had killed the crab humanely by putting it in the freezer for a period first. I'm guessing none.
