- Here is a clip of my stock exhaust (stock downpipe) with the Audi S3 Resonator Delete. I did a cold start, a hard pull and some cruising. This is just before I upgraded to the AWE SwitchPath Exhaust which is the next video.

Good old Brooklyn NY... Car sound great!
Thanks!
In case anyone has a mk6r, Just did my resonator delete today and it does not sound close to this video and most others. A tad deeper tone but thats it.
God damn the tune really helped the exhaust sound good. Did you have to have the dealer add the burbles to the UM tune??
Yes it did make the car sound a little better. Woke it up a bit. UM doesn’t add anything specific for the car to burble like that. It’s just the nature of the tune.
@@BourneMiami I appreciate the quick response. Ty sir
I have to ask; how is the suspension holding up with NY's finest roads? Life long NYer that moved to Florida and I couldn't believe how different the pavement was down here (smooth as butter).
I don’t drive this car much through NYC. Mostly I take drives through Jersey and go to backroads around 7 Lakes and Bear Mountain
Alex Perez cars natural habitat, nice
Love it !!!!
NA Direct Injection Spec R? Cheers thanks for uploading!!
Chris R Yes and you’re welcome. I am tuned by United Motorsport here so there is a little more pops/burbles that resulted from the tune. It was not intentional though. Just how it sounds.
Cruising thru Queens lol 😍😍
What is actually a resenator delete?
Basically a pipe you buy that replaces the resonator. Audi use to sell one that fit the MQB Golf R and S3 but now I think it’s only available through aftermarket new from places like ECS Tuning and 034 Motorsports. I’m sure aftermarket companies make one. Makes the exhaust sound more pronounced.
What year is you R mate sounds nice
I’ve got a 2015 with stage 1 APR and res delete
Thanks! It's a 2016. I have a United Motorsport Tune
2016, thanks!
Hey man, wondering if this is just a res delete, sounds pretty good for just a res delete. Thinking of taking my res off on my mk7.5 r
Yes, stock DP. I am on a United Motorsports tune which added a few more burbles which are not intentional. If your car is new then it might take a few thousand miles to basically break in. It didn't sound this good at first but over time it definitely got deeper. I was happy for the cost but was ready for a bit more sound, plus nicer exhaust tips so I went AWE SwitchPath after.
Sounds pretty good with just the resonator delete.
Stock clutch??
Doug Maverick No, DKM Twin Disk. Thanks, the resonator delete did sound good. The AWE is much better and to me adds what was missing with sound. Cost wise the resonator delete is a good place to start though!
@@BourneMiami Did you have issues with the stock clutch? What made you upgrade it?
The stock clutch was fine at 14k miles. I knew it would not hold the power when I got tuned so I wanted to get the clutch before the tune.
@@BourneMiami Oh I didn't know you had a tune. Makes sense then.
Miguel Relvas Yep, a United Motorsport tune set at 28psi!
So much louder than my resonator delete, what did you do?
I do have a United Motorsport Tune. Doesn't make it louder but I do bet more pops and burbles. I want to say that over time the stock exhaust gets a little deeper. It didn't sound like this when I have 4,000 miles on the car and installed this.
@@BourneMiami kept his back windows open :P
