Thank you so much for this guide! It really gave me the confidence to try this. And I'm glad i did!
Two comments:
1. You probably want > 70% iso alcohol. It took me quite some time to clean off the thermal paste as the paste on my CPU and cooler was really caked on and dry from the factory.
2. The battery cable was a PITA to get in and out...
Otherwise a smooth operation.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. Really awesome video. I wish other videos on youtube were as good as yours. 🙏My Dell 5550 is working again without any new parts. May awesomeness returns to you and your family in abundant.
This was fantastic, thank you!
Cool guide 🎉
Ho - do you have a guide on how to replace the keyboard too?
1:24 it's easier to start prying from the front not rear corner
There is no CMOS battery?
:D
Hi does this model have a cmos battery and if so where is it located?
Great video, but I hated the music.
1:38 fucking annoying part...
Exactly! I even got hurt opening the back cover😡
MX 4 is definitely not the best paste for a laptop. You need something thicker, like Gelid Extreme.
the cover is almost impossible to remove!!!!!
I hate these laptops so much, the edge of the bottom cover is so sharp i cut my fingers every time even without forcing them in....
i also cut my thumb on this
I cut my thumb too!! 🤬
Where is the wifi?
Soldered below left fan
