Thank you Robert for needing to grow in your music. This is artwork that you are doing. In a world of stagnant music, you’ve found a way to stimulate our ears. Thanks again
I love his face, his spirit...his being
I can't get over how amazing these two very gifted humans are.
Loved him when he was young & still love him now that he & I are older!
I have never been impressed with celebrity, except for Robert Plant. I have to admit to being smitten. But really, I’m a huge Led Zeppelin fan. I respect him for taking new musical risks, post Led Zeppelin. I think that he and Allison sound so lovely together. Thank you for giving your audience so much wonderful music. 🎼✨☮️
It's a wonderful thing to see a 73 year old rock legend admit he still has a lot to learn and take the risk of going in an entirely diffent musical direction. As odd as their pairing may seem, it works.
Well, he's 74 today. I wonder what he'll do when he's 80?

@Coogan I doubt it. I don't think he has it in him. He loves it too much
I was thinking the same exact thing when I saw them together I thought she was mostly country and he was Rock & Roll‼️‼️Lol 🤣 🤣 I saw the younger Robert Plant on RUclips I was in High School in the 70’s and remember listening to Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones and Aerosmith and The Hollies ETC…..I will be 65 in March and I still listen to all the same music from when I was in School the only thing I hated about the 70’s is the CLOTHES THE HAIRSTYLE’S AND CORNEY COMMERCIALS ‼️‼️ Lol
I adore Robert..... always have, and so happy to hear new music from him. Stay safe Robert. You mean a lot to me
Alison has the voice of a goddess. Robert IS rock. That the two of them should team up so flawlessly is genius.
I have loved your work for years. I'm a life-long Houston-based radio host. @@AlisonKrauss-pu3kf
These two together produce magic.....
Yes❤
Robert Plant is Amazing
I Love that he has Continued to evolve. He is the Master, The Captain of his own Journey.
And to have the Imagination to see the possibility of combining his Gift with Alison Krauss. Just Amazing.
Thank You
✌️💞🎶🙏
He’s so diverse, always evolving, bringing it. Is there anything he can’t do?
Alison and Robert are a perfect musical duet , blend so well together to bring their great culture to the people .
I love them together
Magic .@@joannredden7751
Such an eloquent speaking manner that Robert Plant has. He's a many layered muliti talented unique world renowned vocalists. Looking forward to hearing more! ❤
Just bought this Album it's beautiful. My Christmas Album. I grew up on Everley Brothers . Led Zeppelin was also in my household but country and blue grass in my heart. Such a lovely pairing. 😍
Oh and I'll take Robert as my Christmas gift! I could just listen to him all day long. He is so interesting in his way of explaining things and I get so tickled at his black country jargon.... i feel like I literally have sparkles dancing in my eyes when I speak about him.... in too old to feel like this! Robert! What is this spell u cast about?
The angelic voice of Allison, on Down to the river to pray. Hooked Robert, harmony is a art to it self. I enjoyed Robert being a humble person, learning great harmony. Two great people, and artists!
A match made in heaven here on earth! My very first concert was Led Zepplin 1975 & I saw Alyson Krause with John Prine! Never in a million years would this wonderful pairing come to mind! Wonderful! 🙏❤❤❤❤
You are seriously AWESOME. Witnessing the mighty Zep. Cool.
I loved John Prine! Discovered him on KPIG Radio in Watsonvile, CA way back in the late 80's! Hey Ralph Anybody, you got your ears on?
Who would’ve guessed these two would’ve had chemistry? A British rock god and a bluegrass singer from Illinois. Whoever put them together is a genius
I hope this one is as successful as the first! And I hope they make alot of money because it has to be maddening doing one interview after another answering the same questions over and over. Trying to make their answers seem fresh and new. Hats off to them just for that!
Fascinating segment! Elicited some surprising reflection and insight from Plant. Many British musicians have been ardent, dedicated students of American folk, blues, country & western, mountain, Mo-Town and pop music and the cross-currents have enriched and entertained us all. Alison Krauss is in a class by herself! Well done!
Such a great match up. Totally different backgrounds and working so hard to be the best of each other's needs. Allison is my goddess, a beautiful lady inside and out. Have seen her many times and have been floored by her performance each time. Have never been able to See Robert and am very sorry for that. What a great performer, I have been listening to Led Zeppelin all my life. What a wonderful band, everyone is so talented. It's what good music is supposed to be. Good luck to the both of them.
I saw Robert with LZ in Dec. 69 in Toronto, after the release of LZ2 but before many of us had heard it. They opened with a phenomenal version of Whole Lotta Love…then after the show had finished with a rock n roll medley (at that time they were short on material) the stage was rushed by people down front.
The energy was amazing..Great show and it’s nice to have that memory now at age 72.
@AlisonKrauss-pu3kfyes, I have been a big fan of your's for years and years. We have communicated a couple of times. I've registered to be chosen for a meet and greet with you a couple of times. My name is Mike Smith from Charleston SC. Actually I live at 3978 Milgray Lane Johns Island,S.C.29455. Would love very much to meet you and get an autographed picture of you.
Люблю 😘 не только музыку слушать которую исполняет Роберт Плант , но и слушать интервью которые даёт Роберт Плант. , которые всегда интересные и познавательные . 👍👏❤️
Combination of voices is magic. I've had Robert Plant's voice in my ears for nearly 50 years now and Alison Krauss' voice has been at the top of my chart since the early 90's. I wasn't too sure I approved when I heard there was going to be a pairing of the two back before Raising Sand came out but that album was terrific. Raise the Roof is that much better. I'll be shocked if it doesn't bring home a few more Grammys.
They mesh beautifully.
Robert has been experimenting different styles and even making different versions of his own music with LZ ever since the 80 ‘s when he made his solo career. Even with Zeppelin he started to try different sounds in the melodies he created. I personally enjoyed his different styles and open mindedness when it comes to music and his collaboration with Alison was marvelous and it’s amazing how he’s still a Rock Star. He can do Vallenato or Merengue or whatever he feels like doing musically and he is still Robert Plant the Rock Legend. But this collaboration between Alison and Robert is a wonderful combination. Versatility makes a great artist even greater. It’s just for the love of great music.
I like Alison; and Robert is the King.
Robert is my local Camden Town boy and I have known him since 1994 on and off. We have King's Head roots in Fulham.
If you get the opportunity to see these two in concert as I did almost three weeks ago DO IT! What a fantastic show! All be well!
Beautiful music makers. You are both awesome thankyou for doing this.
I LOVE this very gifted man.
Absolutely magnificent. Long time Zeppelin fan and blue grass .folk fan as well. This fits perfectly. Both CDS are 10/10.
Love his comments keep moving through the spheres
They're awesome and it's so glad to see them back together!!! I love them together, it's a perfect match for all the times...
❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
Voices of the Angels 😇
She has the most beautiful eyes!!!
And voice too!!!!!!!
@@princesscarla2089 indeed ❤️👍
His smile🥰
Great interview
I have loved Allison since Union Station brunches in Nashville and what a beautiful matchup. Their first was awesome. Agree. Magic. Kismet.
Sir Plant and Miss Krauss together ❤️ are eargasmic
Love their collaboration on Raising Sand and Raising the Roof, magic! Great interview!
I enjoyed that interview! :-)
my gosh... the personalities of these two are just so cotton picking cute! love love love their musical endeavors and it's just joyous to hear them sing and speak at presses. Much love !!! Peace!!
Plant is not cute. Rockers are not cute. Its in their contracts.
@@TeaParty1776 oh shut up
Cute is a word that Plant uses quiet frequently in his conversations... sorry u can't relate to rocker speech.
💕💕💕💕love you both!!! Can’t wait to see you in the states!!😘
Led Zeppelin never won a Grammy? That’s all you need to know about the Grammys
Alison and Robert are awesome together
Current favorite album. Thank you both!!!! Much love. A fan.
Her voice is so ethereal. Check out Rosalie Deighton, she has the same kind of haunting sound.
They warmed up after the silly, negative political question put forth about half way through. Alison sidestepped it very well and Robert picked up the pieces afterwards. Oddly enough; they both were able to be very fun soon afterwards. Kudos to Allison and Robert to pick up this partnership many years after their first album; videos and tours back in the day.
Well said
Two masters of their craft. I grew up listening to old country like Hank Williams, Sr. but also with Johnny Rivers. As a teen I moved on to KISS. I could feel the emotion in Desmond Child's "Love on a Rooftop". I saw he had collaborated with several people including Paul Stanly of KISS. I found out Paul's favorite guitarist is Jimmy Page. Naturally this lead me to Led Zepplin, then Robert Plant and ultimately Alison Krauss & Robert plant together. I am thrilled with new music often. I have Paul Stanley's Soul Station and now more of the classic older songs by Krauss and Plant. Life needs a soundtrack!
Love every song on both albums. Eargasmic
I absolutely loved this cd and I can say that I love the music on this CD. Love you Robert. Love you Alison.
I love Down to the River to Pray.
I can say Alison is my favorite country singer! All the time!❤
Loved their first CD. Raising sand. and the stinking thing is out of print. I hope they rerelease it. I still have it and I love it now they have the new obe. Yay! And I'm 73. So 73-year-olds can still almost get it together...ha ha
Look do great you two all the best in your future
What a wonderful interview! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks.
And we all love T-bone Burnett. What a sound he can produce
Outstanding music!
They are so beautiful together visually and of course musically ..I dream I am Alison so close and inspiring Robert ..I can't even say Lucky her because she has worked So hard none stop ..a pleasure to have them both in our time .
Se is a Angel and Robert been my God since very young. I love the T Bone sound that is still magic.
I’ve heard him say that numerous times now “it was over before then” and “it was really over after 77” in interviews about zeppelin. I’ve always agreed with that. I mean really after 75, but 77 was almost a reunion turned farewell tour. They had nothing to promote BUT they dropped a LP, live LP and a movie the previous two years so they were like super hero’s in 77.
I think the fairytale ended when his son passed. And that was after the terrible accident in Rhodes in 75. A lot of bad shit happened in such a short period of time, as I'm sure you know, that Robert probably isn't as fond of the band many throw heaps of praise on.
2021 delivered some great music. this is a good example.
Love both of them ❤❤
Luv luv luvvvvvvvv!!!!
Luv u Alison Krauss
Just marry me Robert Plant ☀️🍓😘☀️🥰
And by the way your version versus the Everly brothers is 1000 times better luv it
Refreshing to see/hear internationally renown Amanpour interview these two endlessly creative, legendary vocalists.
Happy 74th and still counting💖💖
Robert Plant is my favorite artist ☺️
love them, just love them
Love them
Mr. Plant and Miss Krauss are two wonderful musicians !
Great man ✌️
"grappling with her undergarments" ...and here I thought she was just adjusting her in-ear unit volume! 🤦🤣👙
Precious 💞💞
Percy singing with Alison is the vocal equivalent of Neil Peart taking jazz drumming lessons (he did), or Joe Satch humbling himself to learn EVH guitar licks (he is!) Alison breaks it down perfectly. Her perfect pitch and bell clear tone are kinda scary she's so good ugh
🎙️🎼😍🤌
Great interview!!!
love Love LOVE
Like taking Two Beautiful Color's, and Combining them into another Beautiful Color.
Blue 💙 and Red ❤️ make Purple 💜
I know that this will read as being hopelessly trivial to some, but, I simply can’t help but comment that, as well as being an incredibly talented vocalist, goodness gracious, doesn’t Alison have such lovely long hair !?!…
He’s adorable!😘
Love them Both
They are a great duo! I wish I was Allison getting to be with Robert Plant ❤
Now I’ve gotta go look up Paul Rodgers singing Simple man…thank you Alison!
Listen to how Paul sings "Silver Blue and Gold" (Bad Company). It's gorgeous..and great guitar. Really pretty song. 🎙️🎸
Tear off the roof by Linda Gibson is a great song.
cool interview . cnn finally did something right . .
Two music legends? There is just one .
Hahahaha! Absolutely true.
♥️
Plant said he is friends with Bill Flannigan who ran corp for VH1, Flannigan told Plant about the series crossroads they were doing, to have two artist in total different categories collaborate, Plant was all in, Flannigan chose Krauss as his collaborator, they did the show, became good friends and recorded Rising Sands in Nashville under T Bone Burnette, the rest as they say is history, To Mr. Flannigan, your a genius who blessed this world with heavenly music, thank you for bringing Krauss and Plant together, it the best invention since peanut butter and jelly
Robert I saw at the last concert in UK before sadly, BONZO passed away…..😢 though I’m 1/2 Canadian I do live here…….
Too costly to live in the UK. Bc now. Any of y relatives have passed on.
I love you 2 humbleness I’ve got both. CDs
Never seen RP LOOK HAPPIER!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I saw him with Phil Collins of Genesis. In denver
I never noticed what feline eyes has Alison has. She's absolutely stunning! Oh and Robert! I've been to Kashmir and back with you when you were the "Star" who filled my young girl dreams!
He loves her . I see it.
Well, not any odder then Toni Bennett and Lady Gaga honestly! Wonderful and very talented musicians and performers can most often change genre's with ease.
There like 2 gifted Kids having Fun together, They enjoy what they do
& it shows 🫂
The best Alison Krauss songs come from her collaboration with Jerry Douglas and the Union Station. That's how I got used to knowing her music. Plant can dip his toes in the waters, but, he's not even on the same wavelength.
Oh stop it. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Robert Plant has been far more successful in his field than Alison in hers. Alison has one of the most beautiful voices to ever exist but she doesn't compare to the greatness of Robert Plant. Just enjoy the fact they are singing together and making great music.
Allison in my humble opinion is THE modern day Joni Mitchell. ❤
☀️🌙✨❤️🔥🤩
Hey CNN actually doing some good reporting!
Robert would never appear on fux"news". It's a f*cking cult.
I was pleasantly surprised that CNN had such an interesting and perceptive interview of these two musical giants and their collaboration.
Your vocals are excellent!! But, Alison, you need to play your fiddle more. 🎻🎶
Looks like a jail cell behind our British player here!
Music is a gift from God. Like any other gift it can be used for good or evil right. They're using the gift for good!❤
A King of Rock together with the Queen of Bluegrass. A power-duo of universal proportions.
It's good to see Robert out and about. It's lonley being a old age front man for the greatest rock band 45 years ago lmao 😂
I get what Robert is saying about his previous self. I like who I see now rather than the 20 year old guy.
It's an interesting dichotomy because I still see the 20 year old in the elder Plant. The enthusiasm for music has not dimmed but a lot of the over the top stuff has melted away within the passage of time.
In my opinion, he's never been a better singer than at this time in his life. High notes and screams don't make the man, it's the tone, delivery, and versatility. Plant has all that in spades.
😇GVB ❤ down in the river to 🙏 😊
