I have been struggling with the display constantly freaking out but after watching your video, taping off the exact section you had, the majority of the issues stopped and it was usable, probably need to tape off another section to stop the problem entirely but I greatly thank you for posting this.

after changing the smd resistors of my TV ks8000 these lines appeared, I did the procedure with the tape and now it works perfectly. thanks and congratulations for the video
Yes, we should start a BIG class action with Samsung !! My $5000 Samsung has the on/off looping issue just after 1 year and 4 months !! They said I need to pay more than $2000 to replace the panel !! So BAD !! Never buy again from Bestbuy and Samsung !!
Mine had similar symptoms and turned out to be a shorted diode/filter ic on the panel driver board (located on the far right and far left). Found it with a thermal camera heating to 80c. Removed it and the flickering stopped, and tv works perfectly. Rather than blocking the short with tape you might be able to remove it
I tried this fix on samsung q7fn. Jumping on the screen stopped. Awesome.. but there is loss of color and picture quality. There was improvement because jumping of the image made watching impossible.
I think the covering of some of the connectors pinout should be highly clarified, eg some voltage missing etc..though the problem got solved, we didnt realize the exact cause of those horizontal lines
I tried the same and I dont mind if the colors change, im colorblind, but my TV doesnt turns on correctly when I try to cover 2-4-10 Pins. Any ideas what I could try?
So in other words that pins was there to mess up the image? 😂 I'm not sure that you really repair the TV... But you did get over with that lines on the bottom as we see

This fix obviously solves the image skipping problem, but it is tricked in the end, cutting off so many pins will not get a perfect image. In home conditions it can be repaired, 8 and 9 pin of the tape is enough to cut off then it does not jump and this is the maximum color that can be achieved.

Sounds like a temperature fault. Give it a try with freezer spray on suspected parts of the electronics. Maybe wiggeling the wires before could lead you to the right place.
Another "magic tape fix video. Nobody ever explains anything about this. What is broken to begin with and what is covering associated pins actually do? There are so many combinations of pins that you could cover, how do you know which and how many to cover? And what is this actually doing? and how did you know what to do? And why does nobody ever explaining what it is doing? This sems to be a good video but nothing technical is explained or how you would have any idea what pins to cover or why covering pins mysteriously would "fix" anything. You are now missing signals that the panel needs or was designed to use. How is it working without them now? This makes no sense... And I do NOT have the same exact TV but have s similar problem. It would be helpful if I could understand what is being done at a technical level and why this video was posted. I would like to learn more.

Notice that you did not get any response... It's just another magic tape video... which I would expect not to work. Somebody just copied somebody else's magic tape fix. Your question needs to be answered in order for any of this to actually be useful or applicable to anything.
@@n8lbv No, this is a legit fix. These are feedback lines, breaking the connection fixes the issue but affects the image quality as the board only gets the signal from the other working side.

Hi! First, big thanks for your effort, really appreciate it. I'm also an unhappy owner of a similar TV, QE55Q7F series in my case. One day, the picture showed black horizontal lines and desync in bottom part, thus I tried to cut off the pins as recommended. When cutting off the pins 1-15 (as in the video -- since I'm having the problem on the right side of the TV, the pins are numbered in oposite order there), the problem was solved, but the colors were washed-out (particularly red, which went to orange-brown in half of the picture). I tried to cut off every single pin one by one and found out, that cutting off the pin 3 is enough to get the picture without horizontal lines. However, even with this single pin cut off, the colors are still washed-out. :-( Please, do you have any idea, what to try next?
probably you need to change T-con board. In this case in video is also probably problem with same board, but issue is patched up by isolating some of the pins without significant picture degradation.
@@dragoslaur3962 Power lines?? These are logic lines, and this "fix" will result in working TV but with washed out colors and degraded picture quality on that half of the screen.
@@honestreviewsyoucanuse This is why there are feedback lines to begin with, every panel is different. On most you will see terrible contrast and very lacking color after doing this. You just lucked out with the panel parameters.

I have an issue with my 2018 samsung QLED 75” tv. While playing a game on it, the tv went dim, and shadowy lines developed on the horizontal axis. They are transparent and seem to be more intense where lines of text are involved. They show up all up and down the screen. I pulled back off and reseated all the ribbons, minus the small ones that connect to each LED column. No luck. There are 3 boards. The main board, the power supply board, and another one that has ribbons labeled “driver” and a number corresponding. I was told that this tv might not even have a t-con board, so not sure what the driver board is. Anyway, im hoping this isnt a display issue. Any advice?
It does not have a T con , it has Driver board , but they call them the same , its the board that drives actual screen , rest is power , and CPU . Did you get it fixed

this is an easy at home fix for people that doesnt have sophisticate tools.

I didn't think so either, that ribbon only needed unplugging and plugging in again and that would have fixed the tv.

Look how far over the pins have made connect to the connector. Possible for the pins on the board to have moved over and shorted causing this ?

what contacts have you covered what are they for?
Information lines, this way it only depends on the other side of the screen, affects a bit the image but not that much

"Repaired". You keep using that word, but I don't think it means what you think it means.
That bicause he cut one power line ,the lcd is made with two power lines ,so will not last long this fix..
