I bought a 75in LG for $60 a month ago. I have been struggling with the display constantly freaking out but after watching your video, taping off the exact section you had, the majority of the issues stopped and it was usable, probably need to tape off another section to stop the problem entirely but I greatly thank you for posting this.

Thanks so much for the video. Saved me money for repairs! It was a lot of trial and error, so I had the colour issue people mentioned and I also had a lot of times where the strip of tv wasn’t working at all, just kept playing around with the electrical tape and finally it worked. Thanks again

Mine had similar symptoms and turned out to be a shorted diode/filter ic on the panel driver board (located on the far right and far left). Found it with a thermal camera heating to 80c. Removed it and the flickering stopped, and tv works perfectly. Rather than blocking the short with tape you might be able to remove it

This fix obviously solves the image skipping problem, but it is tricked in the end, cutting off so many pins will not get a perfect image. In home conditions it can be repaired, 8 and 9 pin of the tape is enough to cut off then it does not jump and this is the maximum color that can be achieved.

    Another "magic tape fix video.
Nobody ever explains anything about this.
What is broken to begin with and what is covering associated pins actually do?
There are so many combinations of pins that you could cover, how do you know which and how many to cover?
And what is this actually doing? and how did you know what to do?
And why does nobody ever explaining what it is doing?
This sems to be a good video but nothing technical is explained or how you would have any idea what pins to cover or why
covering pins mysteriously would "fix" anything.
You are now missing signals that the panel needs or was designed to use.
How is it working without them now?
    This makes no sense...
And I do NOT have the same exact TV but have s similar problem.
It would be helpful if I could understand what is being done at a technical level and why this video was posted.
I would like to learn more.

Hi! First, big thanks for your effort, really appreciate it. I'm also an unhappy owner of a similar TV, QE55Q7F series in my case. One day, the picture showed black horizontal lines and desync in bottom part, thus I tried to cut off the pins as recommended. When cutting off the pins 1-15 (as in the video -- since I'm having the problem on the right side of the TV, the pins are numbered in oposite order there), the problem was solved, but the colors were washed-out (particularly red, which went to orange-brown in half of the picture). I tried to cut off every single pin one by one and found out, that cutting off the pin 3 is enough to get the picture without horizontal lines. However, even with this single pin cut off, the colors are still washed-out. :-( Please, do you have any idea, what to try next?

I have a qn65q80tafxzx it has practically the same problem. So i tried this fix. The jumping stopped but now a part of the screen has poor colors. Is there anything else I can do to improve picture quality.

I have an issue with my 2018 samsung QLED 75” tv. While playing a game on it, the tv went dim, and shadowy lines developed on the horizontal axis. They are transparent and seem to be more intense where lines of text are involved. They show up all up and down the screen. I pulled back off and reseated all the ribbons, minus the small ones that connect to each LED column. No luck. There are 3 boards. The main board, the power supply board, and another one that has ribbons labeled “driver” and a number corresponding. I was told that this tv might not even have a t-con board, so not sure what the driver board is. Anyway, im hoping this isnt a display issue. Any advice?
