TESOL course Rabat: Demo lesson: Speaking (Functions)

The international trainer Qasserras Lhoussine presented a demo lesson on Functions (Asking for/ giving advice) for his trainees of the 120H TEFL course at the American TEFL Academy in Rabat Morocco.
Students' level: Beginners (high achievers)
The demo lesson follows the following structure:
1. Warm-up activity:
Miming game linked to the theme of the lesson
2. Presentation:
Lead-in questions
Visual aids
pre-teach vocab
prediction
contextualization
3. Concept checking questions
4. Semi controlled practice
5. Free practice

Hello sir. Thanks for everything you did for us and all the knowledge you've shared so far and still sharing on your channel. I got lucky this year and I am finally a teacher of Eng as I always wished and dreamt. However, I need your help with things I should do and prepare before the school year starts. Except for collecting the documents and going through the middle school textbooks, I haven't done anything yet. My question is SHOULD I design a yearly/monthly planning... Prepare lesson plans for each lesson ... Or these things can be done later. As for the lesson plans I am pretty familiar with them but the monthly/yearly planning I have no idea how to design them whatsoever. What is your advice to me? Anything from you sir will be appreciated
