I just love watching you Karen! Your enthusiasm is so contagious and you so beautifully convey what the stitching community means to so many of us. Loved seeing your progress in this video and can’t wait to see your start on Mary Hill!
Thank you so much Lauren! Your support means a lot to me. I’m not sure I did it beautifully, but I’m glad my words came across. It has been such an adventure! Fingers crossed I can get Mary Hill in time - but I’ll start her the minute I can anyway!
What a beautiful gift you received! I love that you are yourself and that’s exactly why I enjoy watching you. You are so deserving of these treasures and your video shows just how grateful and touched you are to receive them❤ Wonderful to see
You are the most real, and caring, and grateful person I have ever seen. Whoever gave you that gift must be so happy that you are so appreciative of everything! I love your floss tube videos. Thank you for making them for us!
I’m finally able to sit down and start catching up on this month’s flosstubes and yours is my first and I’m just blubbering right along with you! What awesome treasures! Gifts from the heart, so sweet, and I love your willingness to share. ♥️
You're just a joy to watch & are such a sincere, wonderful light! The box was sent by a special person to a special person!! It was touching beyond words. Thank you for sharing it with us (and, yes - I cried! lol)
You are so deserving of a special gift! I would cry too! I loved seeing Ferguson- he is adorable! You’ve really inspired me lately between your winter saltbox and Christmas in My Heart. I started Christmas in My Heart a week ago and am loving it. I did a center start so I am working on the house. I need a few threads for the Winter Saltboxes but after seeing yours I want to start that too! and some Prairie Schooler! 😂 Thanks for sharing, Karen xx
Thank you so much Tricia! I can’t wait to see your Christmas in my heart. I’m planning to pick it up on Monday. The saltboxes were so fun! I can’t wait to do more of them. They give a lot of look for such small pieces. Your support means the world! Happy holidays!
Oh Kleenex alert! Tears are streaming down my face. You deserve stitchy kindness, this community is so supportive, and you’ve had a rough year with your son. I’m so happy for you. And yes, I just discovered Chris xstitch and he’s fabulous to watch. You definitely have a royal flush this week. ❤
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. The support I get here means so much - even though I sometimes stumble over the word to express my gratitude!
Awwwwww! How special to receive that beautiful gift. I haven’t been watching for long but I am certainly enjoying your videos and your sincerity, honesty, enthusiasm and stitching are wonderful. I suffer from an illness that prevents me from a lot of social stuff because it’s painful for me to speak. Never underestimate what your videos are to your viewers. In my situation, they have sustained me, so thank you so much for taking the time and effort in doing them. Happy holidays to you and of course happy stitching too!
OMG i am so bad at reacting to other videos, but for this one I just had to! I was crying with you when you showed your genuine reaction on receiving your kindness! You deserve this!! Oh and for the fabric dyeing without baking, I made a video about 2 years ago how I dye my fabrics with mason jars (with regular dye, but it also works fine with coffee / tea). You just scrunch it up in a mason jar and poor the coffee / tea / dye over it and let it sit for about 20 mins, easy peasy ;-) Now onto the rest of your video ;-) Happy stitching, hugs Debbie
Thank you so much for watching! I looked through your videos but couldn’t find the one. After 20 minutes do you take it out and let it air dry? This is such a great option!
@@kbhstitches yes you can let it just air dry! I have looked my video up for you: it’s flosstube video no 49 if you want to see how I do this 😉 Happy stitching (and dyeing), hugs Debbie
7 yards…heavenly! My understanding is that the baking is not so much about the mottling affect but to set the colour so it doesn’t run if something happens later that you have to damp the cloth. Many people don’t bake their cloth and just use a scrunching method in a glass jar to create the mottling effect. Have fun! My grandmother would call the Scottie dog piece filigree crochet I believe.
Thank you so much for this! I hadn’t seen a jar used so I will certainly look into that! I can’t wait to see what I find. Thank you for watching as always!
@@kbhstitches the trick is to use a jar small enough that the material is scrunched up so that your due liquid does not saturate everything equally. It is not scientific it is just a grand experiment.
Yes. I have dyed fabric and I scrunched it up and did set it in the sun. I even layed it across a basket weave plant stand and it had that print on it when it dried. Love your video.
Oh my goodness, Fergus is a handsome man. Of course I’ve never met a Scotty that wasn’t beautiful. When you were sharing your goodie box and you were talking about your book ends, and your Scotty decor I feel the same way. I’ve had Scottie’s, since I was 16 years old ,have had a lot of other types of dogs along with them but when you own a Scotty, there’s brain chemistry transformation and you are truly never the same. And when someone else honors that it’s a wonderful thing. What a wonderful video. Thank you so much and most of all thank you for sharing that handsome boy Fergus what a sweetie pie! Take care, Karen
I grew up with Cairn Terriers and didn’t think I would ever have any other dog - but I am a Scottie mom forever now. He has gotten me through so much this past year. It’s so nice to know I can connect with someone else who understands! Thank you so much for your support!
I have tea/coffee dyed fabric and dried it in the sun. Yes, you will get mottling. How much you get will depend on the fabric and the climate you live it. I live in Colorado where it is very dry and the sun is very intense, so it dries very fast. It won't dry as fast as in the oven, of course, but I would suggest you keep an eye on it as it dries. I'm anxious to see how it turns out. Good luck!
Perfect! Thank you so much. I’m excited to try it! And I grew up in Boulder so I know exactly what you mean by very intense! Thank you so much for watching!
I think the needlework piece is a crocheted. I have seen many pieces similar in antique stores. It's ok to cry. I am crier too. It's a good video. I like onsaburg too. I have used it over the years. I will see you at stitch group.
