Sending positive vibes and hugs your way, karen! That calendar you found at borders is so neat! I wish they still made stuff like that. Love your cardinal kin finish- makes me want to start mine but i need to find a fabric i like. You amaze me that u got 72 finishes this year that is super cool! Im glad u finally relented and bought urself the hoop u wanted for so long- i do the same thing where ill feel guilty for treating myself and then i have to take a step back and be like u know what? Cross stitch is my ONLY thing for me, and im always doing for everyone else, so i deserve to take care of ME every once in a while- and if that comes in the form of stitchy happy mail than so be it!! Lol we need to do what brings us joy especially when we r so busy looking after everyone else! Happy stitching 🐈⬛🪡❤️
Thank you so much for this! And I have to say I really love using that hoop! I am so grateful that I can get myself treats here and there and it is my only thing as well. Cardinal kin is a very fun stitch but it does have a lot of white. Hope you find some fabric for it soon! Thank you so much for your support!
So good to see back in the new year. Thank you thank you for here. You are a wonderful stitcher no matter how you start your thread. I heard about that starting thing but never quite got it till you showed the picture. I of course always forget to do it but I am happy with my work and that is what it is all about. Keep up the amazing work and life will work out, it always finds a way. I know how you feel. I find my peace and happy in my crafting. Have a sparkling day.
Thank you so much! Your words are so kind. I agree that wherever or on whatever or however anyone stitches - it’s perfect if it makes you smile! Thank you so much for supporting.
I am the same as you in two things you talked about in this video. 1. I love to stitch Christmas for 5-6 weeks and then I’m done. I have a hard time being motivated to stitch Christmas the rest of the year. I am going to try harder this year because i have 4 Christmas wips that aren’t smalls and they are not getting finished at this rate (Christmas in My Heart is one of our shared wips) 2. I don’t count small/ornament size things as wips either. I’m sorry to hear your son and husband were sick. I hope you get more positive news from the eye doctors in 2025 🤍 Loved seeing Fergus at the end 🖤 Thanks for sharing and Happy stitching n 2025 💚
Thank you for watching, as always. I don’t know what it is about Christmas stitching! I really do love the things I have but I was over it this year! And I didn’t even pick up Christmas in my Heart! Oh well, always next year 😂. I’m at four finishes in my list so far this year and am just hoping it inspires me to remember that I really do get things done!
Hi, from the UK. I love your projects and enjoyed watching. Your little doggy is so sweet. I love seeing flosstubes pets. Wishing you a healthy New Year to you and your family.
How exciting to see someone from the UK! Thank you so much for watching! Everyone always loves to see Fergus - he doesn’t love it as much 😂. Thank you so much for watching!
I'm so sorry that your family had less than good news for your son. I'm praying that things will improve. I'm glad I'm not the only one to miss Borders. I loved that bookstore. Barnes & Noble is not the same. It's always fun to see your projects and wips. Your delight in your projects, fabrics, and all the things, plus a Fergus appearance, makes my day. May this new year only get better for you and your family.
Oh Donna! Thank you so, so much! Your comments always make me smile and urge me on to keep coming back! Borders was the best! There is no comparison. We would wander there during rain days in Oregon and it was the best! Your good wishes mean the world and I hope you are having a happy new year!
Karen as long as Fergus had a good Christmas, then all is right in the world, and there’s always next year. 😂 Your finishes from way back in 2006 are so unique and look like a lot of fun to stitch. So sorry that your son didn’t have a good doctors appointment, I will keep him in my thoughts and hope that the new year will discover some positive results for him. Sending hugs and happy stitching!
He absolutely loved his toy but he did hate having his boys in bed! But he got a lot of mama time in 😂. Thank you so much for watching, as always, and your thought for my son mean the world!
Happy New Year, Karen! You have stitched so much on your 27/5 project this year. I bet if you have photos of where you began last year and where you are at the start of this year it shows a big chunk of progress! Also great work on sticking with your Pick It & WIP It- so fun! 🙌🏼 Wishing you and your family a smoother road to health and peace this year. ❤ -Leah Noel
Yes! I made it all the way across the top - I would have never thought I could do that! I can’t believe I almost gave up on it all together! Thank you so much for all of your support and well wishes. They mean so much to me!
Oh you brought the tears! I feel like I need to be stronger all the time, I just love that kid so much. Thank you so much for always supporting and I have Fergus a smooch for you!
Enjoyed your video! Offer yourself some grace about the holidays! As a kid, my party trick for the holidays used to always be tonsillitis…. Prayers for your son.
I used to always get croup! Thank you so much for the reminder! It is just a day and we are very lucky to have still been able to celebrate in other ways! I so appreciate your support!
I am so glad you are stitching Freebies with me! I'm so excited to see what you work on. I'm going to have to check out those squirrels! I am so sorry to hear about your son's health. I also understand what you mean with setting expectations for the holidays, and there is always extra pressure on us moms but you are doing a great job and I hope you get the chance for some peaceful crafting time without illnesses soon.
Thank you so much for watching but so much more for your kind words! I’m so glad to be joining you - and I forgot about a 4th squirrel who is baking a pie! I think these will be a source for a lot of joy for me this year! Hope to talk to you soon!
Wonderful to see you and catch up with your stitching! I'm sorry that Christmas was not quite as hoped and sending you all love, hope and a big hug. I'm so pleased you are joining me with #bestofbritishsal - what a perfect stitch to choose!
I actually kept thinking of you and just hoping you didn’t get sick on your trip! I’m so so glad it was fun - aside from the bump on the way home! Stitching in my bird now!
Bless your son and you & your husband! Know that I am praying for him & both of you. Also know that whenever you post a video…I will be watching it soon, even if I don’t comment. Thanks for sharing your time & stitching & life stuff with us. We care about you!
Thank you so much for your prayers - I can’t tell you how much that means and I’m grateful for the comment just so I can reciprocate the thanks right back to you! I so appreciate your support.
Thank you always for watching and I’m so glad you were able to absorb yourself into that piece because it is amazing! I can’t wait to see it keep going. Maybe I need to try a full coverage next time I feel like I can’t focus. Hoping the new year is giving you good energy! Much love.
So sorry to hear about your Christmas plans being cancelled. I can relate with the holiday sickness… two years ago, I had the Flu over Thanksgiving and somehow caught Covid two weeks later and that lasted through Christmas-it was absolutely horrible! Praying for a healthy happy new year for you and your family!
Oh that is absolutely awful! Having one thing right after the other is so unfair. I so hated seeing them both sick and have no idea how I didn’t manage to get it (insert knocking on wood here 😂). Thank you so much for watching and I hope your new year brings all the good things!
Good stuff as always Karen. Hoping for the best outcome possible for your kiddo...I am a WIPCO newbie and am doing good, so far..put all my wips in it for 2 threads a day for that month and popped in a bunch of new starts.
How did I not think to make my wipgo 2 threads a day! That’s brilliant! I think it is a great way to get a little push at the beginning of the month but not too hard that you can’t do it! Thank you so much for watching and supporting!
I usually just watch but had to comment...I LOVE keeping up with appearances, so much so I bought the whole DVD set. I don't know if you have seen it, but Are you being served? is another hilarious British comedy as well.
Oh my goodness! Yes!!! I love that show. So many fun ones - Rosemary and Thyme, Miranda, Vicar of Dibley! I love going back to all of those - they are like comfort food! I’m so glad you knew what I meant!
I feel your hugs and support always! I was smiling remembering yesterday doing that zoom with Sarah and knowing it would be great because I was going to meet you!
Prayers for your family. I recently finished my first Mill Hill. Would you take us along when you finish one of yours? Great video, looking forward to the next one.
I can certainly try to do that! I don’t do anything fancy - just attach felt. Thank you so much for watching and your thoughts for my family mean the world!
Happy new year to you too :) Lovely projects :) You made me look twice into the The rose and the giant pear. I might start it too :)) What fabric count did you pick for yours?
Oh you should! It is a lovely, lovely stitch! That pear is one of my favorite things I have ever stitched. Mine is on a 40 count that has a slight green tinge to it - but any neutral would look fabulous because the border colors are so bold! Let me know if you start and thank you so much for watching!
Sending positive vibes and hugs your way, karen!

Your excitement for your goodies made my heart happy. I've had a rough day & you made me smile!
Just as you did for me! I hope the bad day is just a blip and things get better!

Oh isn’t it wonderful! So many laughs I still watch it a lot 😂. Thank you so much for watching and happy new year!
I will remember your Son in my prayers, and for your strength. You’re a strong Mama, you can do this. Love your projects. Kisses to Mr. Fergus

Massive hugs to you and to your sweet boy. Hopefully this gets resolved soon. ❤❤❤❤
And bonus Fergus!!
Thank you so so much for being here with us since the start! Hoping you are having a great start to the new year!
I'm stitching on Salem Mini Moon while watching. It's such a good chart.
Oh that’s so exciting! I just think those bubbles look magical - and of course the amazing colors! Thank you so much for watching!
