Let me guess the cursing is the puto, or something else but rice cakes what they are called though for puto is also a Spanish word that is cursing. It’s only of the differences in our languages.

You're using the right chili. Haba means long. Sili means chili. Siling haba is long chili. They are also called siling pangsigang, meaning sinigang chili. They have a different aroma compared to red chili, but both delicious nonetheless.
I think some use purely the blood, harden it, then it forms like a fudge i think, slice it in squares, insert bamboo sticks just like barbecue, then grill it. They call it betamax. Idk how to do it though lol
Puto is basically eating rice but in mini cake form. Some add melted butter mixed in batter. Some topped with cheese. There's so many variations. :)

From sourcing the ingredients, to cooking, and to eating Dinuguan. I understand why (Pig's) Blood Stew wouldn't sound appetizing but if it's cooked well (with love and care) and enjoyed with good company, it's a really good viand/dish to accompany rice. Puto is traditionally partnered with Dinuguan but I am partial to rice. I'm glad you liked it and more power to you both.

But the courage to try something very different is at another level.
Also, I really love watching you cook Filipino foods, it makes me appreciate the dishes even more for how delicious and easy to make those. My request for you is to make an Ube series that consists of Ube Halaya, Ube-flavored Pandesal with Cheese (you might also like to make an original Filipino pandesal), and Ube Cake.
Congatulations to the growth of the channel, I will always support you. And if ever one day you decided to learn Filipino language, I am very much willing to help and test my fluency on my own language LOL. Salamat!

Thank you Jack. I think life would just be too dull if we never tried something different.. And not just trying new foods but also languages and making new friends from various cultures! That's what I'm loving about making these videos! And about your language offer, I might just take you up on that one day ☺️

In our province in Bohol, we cook dinugoan with the intestines. And I love it when there’s pig’s ear. It gives it the crunchy feel.

I have so much respect for you! I'm not sure I could eat something with intestines in, I definitely don't think I could cook with them.

Wait.... you love tripe!? You have some explaining to do 😂 I've tried it twice now, once in Sicily and once in the UK and I can safely say I don't like it. I think it's an acquired taste?

Tripe is pretty healthy for you, but it depends on the preparations. So Yes to some extent it is a Acquired taste, what did used in a lot of Asian dishes such as Filipino food. Nonetheless I’m still happy you guys decided to try it, since that was one of my suggestions.

My mother use to brown the meats and fats to render the natural oils in or fat and continue on to saute the aromatics then water then the vinegar then the blood and simmer to cook but continues stirring. But you did really well. Dinuguan come in different style and taste from region to region of the Philippines and homes too.
