Ok so i had a weird experience today. Im a blue collar dude and im a machine operator. I was delivering material off a truck running a 40 foot crane (hundreds of sheets of drywall) and delivering it into the mall. Turns out the Omega boutique in the short hills mall in NJ is getting some construction done. I think they're moving to a larger space across from where they are but they are still open. Me being a watch nerd. I walk in im all dirty and im talking to the dude about watches and nobody once batted a eye or stuck up their nose about the dude with muddy boots and dirty clothes. I own a few Omegas but i haven't been to a boutique in year's. So i thought it was really neat getting to see everything in person and they had everything you could want except a white dial seamaster and the silver snoopy. Otherwise they had everything. It felt good not being treated like a shmuck. I tune in alot almost every day but im more of a listener than a talker but omega has great service. Boutiques with that offer Rolex aren't as nice. Sorry if it was long-winded but i thought it was a neat experience
I've heard this before about Omega boutiques. One guy even said that he went into an Omega boutique when he was 16 and they treated him like a normal customer even though obviously he couldn't buy anything. So that when he actually got enough money, his first luxury purchase was an Omega. Customer service matters. Respect matters. Unfortunately Rolex seems to have forgotten that.
I have the cream dial quartz as my dress watch, likewise feel that not every watch I own has to be automatic. It's nice to be able to just pick it up on the odd occasion I feel like wearing it for a few hours at night. That extra thinness matches the aesthetics too
Own the white. That ‘4’ is the most beautiful font ever. $350 - yeah, for non-crystal and quartz, I felt I overpaid a little. But for the right occasion or when I want a break from my diver (Halios Seaforth, Helm Komodo, Tag, Seiko) rotation, it’s a great piece.
@@daniellehotsky1776 wow! people change. I’ve since changed my mind and I now think it actually looks great. Thanks for reminding me 3 years later…such a weird feeling :)
Bought mine recently on Amazon. White dial with markers (no numerals). Absolutely stunning. Love this watch and brand and yes the Strap is perfect for it! 🇺🇲👍🇩🇪
I have this one, dark brown straps, gold body and white face with numerals but it bothers me the second hand is misaligned and doesn't hit the lines, I wonder if that's common for these watches.
😂😂😂😂 on your wrist looks so funny 🤣 btw love your videos above all because you are staying yourself you don’t take yourself for a star. Some people are annoying because they believe they are stars on RUclips because they have followers. They introduced themselves as welcome to the show etc... let’s stay on earth with Random Rob and also excellent is Nick Shabbazz
I love the Minimalist look of these but NOT the retail prices for these. Especially that cost with arcylic crystal. If I ever got one I would probably have polywatch as part of my EDC though.😅 This is the kind of stuff MVMT should be doing homages of. The loom is actually nice on these considering the dress watch asthetic.
Nice to mix it up a bit Rob, so weird not seeing you holding a diver. Nice watch but I don't like how the number in the date window is much larger than the hour numbers
I like the brand. And I like the Max Bill models. I've seen this particular model several times at local ADs. Would be a perfect dress watch for me. And yeah, I agree with a previous commentator: why is there a date window which is white plus has a totally different font on it? 🤔
Have the same color Max Bill Junghans only it's automatic, got a good price on it, like Tik, I happen to like the Bauhaus style and I do it's not for everyone. They make a good watch at a good price, and can get into a Nomos Bauhaus (which they didn't invent nor first at doing it) at a reasonable price.
Phew! $495 is a bit steep for a quartz watch with plastic lens that doesn't quite hit the marks. I guess you can show your friends the name on the dial though. Oh yeah, nobody I know cares about that.
Also checkout another great German brand called Sternglas. I own one and really like it. Sort of a gold/brown tone version of this Junghans (similar Bauhaus design cues).
Sternglas, they just don't do anything for me, something about their design language just puts me off, not proper proper Bauhaus, if you know what I mean? No offence, I know you own one. I was very close to picking one up when I started getting into watches, I think because I wanted a Junghans/Stowa/Nomos, Sternglas just felt a bit lacklustre, and to be honest a couple of Sternglas automatics cost almost the same as a Stowa automatic which I much prefer.
@@GodIsInHisHeaven I hear you. To each his own of course. I understand your point of view. I'm a big fan of Junghans and Graf Zeppelin (my favorite German brands) but hopefully we will all enjoy what we choose. 👍
Yep. Thought hard about them before going w this watch white dial. And would love a Nomos Metro - but $2k is too much. Germans do minimalist very well.
@@WestCoastAce27 Nomos do some great looking watches. My only problem with German watches are that their definition of 'German Made' is not as strict as 'Swiss Made', so I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth if I buy German. I would really have to love the designer to go for it.
Just don't get the appeal of Bauhaus style watches- too minimalist, too fragile looking. Quartz too, really not my thing at all, awful. To each their own tho. Cheers mate 👍🏻

@@caomhan84 I wouldn't doubt it. They are a great example of what an AD should be.
Bauhaus style - you either get it or you don't.
Beautiful simplicity is not easy to achieve.
I think it's stunning. Subtle, understated, classy.
Had a digital multiband Junghans watch once, a gift from my grandmother. The greyish -black dial reminds me of its color.

Funny, the 4 is the worst looking number on there for me. The 2 and 7 look stunning though.

Works as a causal dress. I have a black and white version. Great German watch. They started the watch history in Germany.

Great review Rob. I have the Junghans Mega- radio control. I can't get it to set to the atomic clock.
The Wristwatch Is Spot-On Your Wrist.
You nailed this review. Great video Rob.
Beautiful. I have to check to see if they make a automatic
They do! Think they make automatic in the exact anthracite dial too
@@timeaftertimewatchreviews9507 thanks
My old white Max Bill auto was the most legible I've owned. I could tell the time down to the second with just a quick look.
I took a look at the manual wind version of this a while back great watches
Top Quartz watch German Bauhaus design
If you like this style get a no date version automatic for under 1k,cant go wrong.
I'm waiting for my local dealer to open back up so I can try this on and see if I want the chrono. White dial

I aim to own a Max Bill but OMG they need to stop dicking around with the ridiculous up-charge for sapphire crystal.
Lovely really like the Max Bill. 😍
They are different but, not my style! Give us a big Citizen pilot's watch or a chunky diver man...

Very expensive for an acrylic "crystal".
yeah
but it is iconic
775€ on the Junghans webshop
Looks kinda fragile.
It's not a tool watch, so I guess it's ok?
It's a dress casual watch. You wouldn't be wearing this to the construction site.
